I think of these top bots as vampires, always seeking fresh blood

Sackmagique · 03/10/2016 11:01

I had my first ever real life encounter with an FL bot on Friday! At DS's playgroup and she was ever so generously offering a £1 donation for every production purchased to Maxmillan.

Helpfully DS (15mo) staged his own little protest by repeatedly taking items off the table (a phase he's going through). I of course rushed over to stop him Wink

smiinky · 03/10/2016 11:40

Have we seen that maelle has now launched with barely any product? No powder, foundation, lipstick, blusher or eyeliner? One solitary eye cream?
No more products added until NEXT YEAR.
It really is truly crap, I watch with intrigue as the eeking bots try to put a positive spin on things. Wonder how long they'll be able to keep up the pretence for?

Spongebobette · 03/10/2016 11:51

It beggars belief Smiinky

They've been eeeeeeking about the products for months and have either never even laid eyes on them or have seen them once at a pre pre launch event.

I can go into Boots right now and try any product I want, compare different brands and more often than not am offered a sample. And the person selling the stuff has had some ACTUAL training.

Spongebobette · 03/10/2016 11:53

(But we all know that it's never about the product, don't we)

smiinky · 03/10/2016 12:03

taps nose yup

cozietoesie · 03/10/2016 12:07

I'm going to be intrigued to see what the adherents from other MLMs are going to make of the newcomer. After all, the pie doesn't have an infinite number of slices in it. If newcomers make money others will likely see their adherent base dwindling even further.

Interesting times ahead. Smile

smiinky · 03/10/2016 12:42

I don't think the newcomers have much hope to be honest, they've had to hype up basically nothing for several months now and some are complaining that their pages are getting less and less hits, even though its just launched. Nice work if you can get it though, the company owners have trousered over a quarter of a million pounds.
its tragicomic isn't it? I went to the new Nyx counter in Boots in Oxford street last week, absolutely buzzing, several hundred different lipsticks in brilliant colours all for around £5 or £6, this is their competition.

cozietoesie · 03/10/2016 12:53

Ah - but your company are presumably giving you training, Ladiva.

Spongebobette · 03/10/2016 13:52

Spongebobette · 03/10/2016 13:53

And for a sponge??

Babblehag · 03/10/2016 14:07

£16 for a sponge?????? that bugger had better be made of silk and treated with -insert some really expensive balm thing here- for that price!

Spongebobette · 03/10/2016 14:08

Made of unicorn horns

Spongebobette · 03/10/2016 14:09

Makes sense though, everyone upline in the pyramid gets a cut so a 2 quid sponge has to be sold at that price

smiinky · 03/10/2016 14:48

the make up bag is probably $2 ex factory at the very most

NorbertDentressangle · 03/10/2016 15:07

I think someone needs to have a quiet word with my FL bot.

Her children are always ill which gives her plenty of opportunity for hashtag action - #imthebestboss #workfromhome #off(insertnameoflocalprivateschool)sick (extra points for stealth boast she gets in with the name drop of the school)

The trouble is she's frequently posted in the past about all the aloe shit that they love taking to keep them healthy, even a video of one of the poor kids necking a shot of something nasty and aloe based.

D'oh! Not a good advert when they're always off sick is it!?

Spongebobette · 03/10/2016 15:32

Hoist by her own petard eh? Grin

Ladiva1971 · 03/10/2016 18:37

Yes ofc I get training, it is actually quite boring lol, but at least I don't have to do it every 2 weeks or so, I also get my hourly rate to go too. Hopefully I don't need another session for at least a year :P

Ladiva1971 · 03/10/2016 19:54

Just checking out dream home Bot, and it is amazing how many tradesmen she has had in her dream home, who are married or related to other bots one is even friends with ex PC bot......Hmm

Spongebobette · 03/10/2016 20:31

Yes I thought that too Ladiva!

MrGrumpy01 · 03/10/2016 21:21

I like Avon - only today I put in another order. Many threads ago I talked about my unsolicited recruitment messages on fb but nothing came of it. My 'Avon Lady' however is fairly wise and does not recruit me as I live on her patch.

One of my bots is currently on a diet, I am not sure if the huge claimed weight loss should be celebrated, surely rapid weight loss over a very short period is not a good thing, either you will just put it back on straight away or your body will go into starvation mode.

Anyway I am currently grateful that my J.O.B pays sick pay. They fail to see that when discussing how wonderful a MLM is and how bad a JOB is.

Babblehag · 03/10/2016 21:27

mrgrumpy Avon reps don't recruit, its only Avon sales leaders that do.

My old forever "upline" claimed to have lost over ten stone in a year through clean 9 kick starting her diet.....I later found out it was down to a gastric band. I'll never believe a thing any of them say again.
