Oh you neg head Cozie

Annie65 · 23/09/2016 12:45

Sponge and Cozie, I am sooo tempted to ring the number and find out what she is doing. I know what would happen, I would end up being her guest at a business meeting. Could be interesting though. I promise I will really try not to become a bot, but the thought of the "free holidays", the chance to earn a zillion quid a week for 5 hours work, and being able to tell my life story to a load of robots on stage might be too much to resist. I will try not to be tempted I promise.Wink

fitgirl26 · 23/09/2016 14:38

A top LTW bot has just started posting about protein shakes (inbox for info of course). Wondering if this is a new LTW thing or yet another Scam business opportunity. It's not Visalus as he's already been there, done that, ripped people off got the t-shirt.

xenu1 · 23/09/2016 14:57

twunk thx for link to media request:
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/media_requests/2738326-The-Guardian-media-request-Forever-Living

I have emailed info and the journalist called back!. So if you have any specific info - esp FL-related, costs etc - please let her know. (she now has hours of reading for the w/e > Merchants of Deception to start with! :)

Spongebobette · 23/09/2016 15:42

I think you should go along as a fifth columnist Annie

BSintolerant · 23/09/2016 16:50

Anyone fancy compiling an MLM thesaurus?

We could call it the Botosaurus Rex! Grin

Twunk · 23/09/2016 16:57

Badum-tish! She's here all week folks!

miffytherabbit1974 · 23/09/2016 16:59

There are now all manner of Lifetree Bots and LTW Zombies jumping ship after Richibrown declared that they were bailing from LTW (Richibrown's Natox product has a questions hanging over it, but that's another story).

There seems to be a fair few Bots gluing on to Total Life Changes, and their miracle weight-zapping Iaso tea (lots of not-very-credible before and after weight loss photos). It looks totes amazeballs and is bound to make ex-LTW Bots both thin and rich at the same time!

BSintolerant · 23/09/2016 17:16

Thin and rich? This has to be the Wallis Simpson of the tea world.

Let's face it, some of those ex LTW bots might need to slim down a bit after guzzling all that Yazoo.

fitgirl26 · 23/09/2016 19:11

So is this Total Life Changes tea versus Valentus coffee? Handbags at dawn for hot beverages?

Spongebobette · 23/09/2016 19:49

How many Clean 9s should one do in a year? One of my bots has just started yet another and it only seems 5 mins since she last did one

Toobusytowee · 23/09/2016 20:03

I think the correct number of clean 9s to have a year is zero.

cozietoesie · 24/09/2016 23:10

I see that Herbalife and the FTC have now submitted an ICA. Smile

Alabastard · 25/09/2016 08:21

I know it's small fry in the mlm world but my tropic bot had a lovely time at the glammies.

Spongebobette · 25/09/2016 08:57

What's an ICA?

MyCatsHateMLMtoo · 25/09/2016 09:54

Independent Compliance Auditor.

When I was researching this I came across this transcript of the FTC's [[http://behindmlm.com/companies/herbalife/ftc-describes-herbalife-as-a-pyramid-scheme-refuses-to-label/ settlement announcement]]. I remember watching this question and answer session online. It was fascinating to see Edith Ramirez, Chair of the FTC, fielding question upon question asking for clarification of whether Herbalife was indeed a pyramid scheme. An interesting read, and the comments at the end are, as usual even more interesting Grin.

Sorry about the link fail Grin.

cozietoesie · 25/09/2016 12:12

It's going to be interesting to see how that situation develops. A page worth reading, I reckon.

fitgirl26 · 25/09/2016 15:54

Interesting article about Valentus coffee which shows how the ex LTW bots' claims to have all lost around a lb a day by doing nothing different other than drink this stuff are complete bullshit. Plus I see the co- ordinated "eeeek" post they all did on the 21st September fell a bit flat Grin

cozietoesie · 25/09/2016 18:32

Interesting article indeed. Smile

NorbertDentressangle · 26/09/2016 13:42

From my bot's fb page.

Roughly translates as:

"To be so busy working my butt off for nothing, attending training days, sizzles, team meetings, recruiting new victims and flogging snake oil that I have no time to question the dubious, rip-off scam of a company that I work for or to listen to well-meaning friends, family and ex-bots that can see it for what it is""

darceybussell · 26/09/2016 17:59

This has me laughing today from my bot, accompanied by a ridiculous 'so proud to be part of the biggest industry in the world!' post.

A quick Google search tells me the biggest industry in the world is actually retail and food at $5,300 billion, followed by alcohol at $1,161 billion, then followed by a whole shitload of other industries all masses bigger than fucking network fucking marketing!! Just stop spouting bullshit! STOP!!!

Spongebobette · 26/09/2016 18:14

Gaaah

But at least she's only 'proud' Darcey. It's the 'humble' and 'blessed' statuses that make my toes curl

smiinky · 26/09/2016 21:43

I've been doing my own research into that '82% of female six figure earners' meme and its variants.
Of course its bullshit. The only woman who features is the CEO of Avon, there are no other network marketers AT ALL.
None of the listed jobs with the highest pay are in network marketing. None of the self employed business owners are in network marketing.
But it seems now if you put it on social media then it is true.
No wonder we have a flat earth movement, worlds gone mad. mad I tell ya

Toobusytowee · 27/09/2016 11:42

Eyes has come across an article he thought you might be interested in. A case is going through the courts at the moment about a con woman who allegedly stole £26,000 from a frail old man. Forever Living is mentioned in the article.
