Ouch.

How did you categorise activities such a showering, putting on make-up, going to the hairdresser etc? Did you have to think about the bizniz all the way through ?

NorbertDentressangle · 12/03/2016 14:29

From what I've seen the quite normal things that your average person does like go to the hairdressers, have a bath, pop into a cafe for a coffee maybe get their nails done seem to be used in such a way to document that they're having such a wonderful life...... "look at me going to the hairdressers, aren't I lucky to be able to afford such luxuries"type of bragging post, whereas actually most people go to the hairdressers whether it's for a £6 student cut or the works!

Even taking a photo of a bubble bath before they get into it as if to illustrate how they have time to relax in a luxurious bath .....er, we all bath or shower every/most days, it's nothing out of the ordinary. It's just that most of us don't photograph it first. Ditto, a cup of tea/coffee .... I've just had one but not thought it necessary to put a photo of it on fb to show that I'm enjoying a relaxing Saturday. Hmm

Has anyone seen the post from CS on fb? It's a big long post about how she is being bullied by a group of people about how she looks. She isn't referring to this thread is she, I haven't seen any negative posts about her image, just about her dodgy ethics......

Twunk · 12/03/2016 15:08

To be fair it did get a bit personal at one point, not sure if it was about her, and we corrected ourselves. Can't delete on here but personal attacks can be reported.

Though the phrase "live by the sword, die by the sword" springs to mind.

smiinky · 12/03/2016 15:15

mutters something about calling yourself a public figure and putting your entire private life on social media for all to see and then being upset when not everyone is complementary.
Now I'm not one for personal attacks based on peoples looks, I'm more interested in behaviour. But attraction marketing is all about the superficial isn't it, so don't be shocked when people start having a pop at that eh?

Bananasmel · 12/03/2016 15:19

I knew that she would play this card. Whilst a terrible thing happened to her and I have huge sympathy for that side of her life, she needs to wake up. Most of the critical posts have been about the scam business she is involved in. She has put her self out there in the public and she should expect some comment and criticism because Forever Living is nothing but a scam.
I do have a feeling she was roped in when vulnerable and I feel sorry for her if she was.

darceybussell · 12/03/2016 15:23

I didn't get the impression she was talking about this thread, I got the impression she had been sent messages on Facebook.

throwingpebbles · 12/03/2016 15:32

I felt sad for her reading that. Clearly something has upset her. But I can't think she means this thread as it sounds like she has been being sent messages or something? I expect anyone in the public eye has far more horrible stuff said about them all the time, and they have to learn not to look for it. If she has been sent messages (which I am sure is no one on here!) then that is obviously unacceptable!

Judging by other comments and info we know about forever I can only imagine that far worse stuff is said about her behind her back by her side lines/uplines/ downlines etc anyway. It all sounds horribly nasty behind closed doors.

I said she was a vulture because all bots are vultures looking for their next victim. This was on TV page though or bot watch can't remember.

LeanneBattersby · 12/03/2016 16:13

Of course she's talking about this thread. She's trying to be vague so as not to draw her bots' attention to it.

It did get nasty at one point and the posters were rightly pulled-up on it. It was quite uncomfortable to read and there was no need for it.

However, now CS is using the 'bullying' FFS as just another piece of attraction marketing. In my opinion it's appalling behaviour and is undermining the experiences of people who are really being bullied. Out of all the manipulative behaviour I've read about on here, it's some of the worst. She ought to be ashamed.

throwingpebbles · 12/03/2016 16:23

I feel story for her for the accident. I feel sorry if any comments on here about her appearance upset her

But it doesn't make me feel any differently about Forever, about all the deceit in recruitment, the illegal claims made to sell products, the way people in the organisation are harassed and bullied, and the way the organisation targets vulnerable people in particular to recruit and exploit.

Lemonsole · 12/03/2016 16:24

Is "Treasured Gifts" another one? Vulnerable relative has just invited me to like their page flogging lots of twiggy shite.

lazycoo · 12/03/2016 17:12

I'm confused about the eyebrows thing. I agree it looks like she's talking about this thread/ 'us lot', and indeed her eyebrows have been discussed a bit too much. But this was ages and ages ago, no? Why bring it up now? She's saying 'I am being bullied' - present tense. Perhaps there's more going on than we know. Haterz on every corner?

rayofhope · 12/03/2016 17:14

I think she always looks flawless and pristine, I would never have known she had been in a bad car accident.

It doesn't take away from the way the business is run though. There was a photo put on the other day with someone doing a pedicure on her and she made a joke about how she was working hard (on Forever) while the girl was being her little slave.

I would have been really upset if I was the beautician. She's doing her job (don't forget Forever people, you still need people to do their jobs for you, your cleaners, gardeners, child minders etc etc) and it doesn't give anyone the right to be called a slave (even if it was meant as a joke)

Botofspother · 12/03/2016 17:15

I think it's similar to politics when they "spin" a story to make them appear a certain way or to cover up dodgy dealings...

NorbertDentressangle · 12/03/2016 17:21

I thought the eyebrows discussion on here was ages ago too - it was brief and someone rightly pointed out that the discussion should avoid any personal comments so it moved on.

Also, since then the bot herself has posted some humorous posts on fb about her eyebrows as if she sees them as her "trademark", her signature look. Confused.

Her post makes it look as if it's something current though so maybe there's some backlash within her team/ex-team? Or some fb comments from people unknown?
