I'm on mat leave and was added by a girl I vaguely knew ten years ago at uni. Cue mass liking of my pictures and then a message. I replied pretty sharply and included links to these threads and said I would be keeping everything crossed to was able to leave soon before she lost too much money. Didn't expect a reply and thought if she did it would be a 'screw you' type message. The actual response was even more unsettling. A calm, 'OK hon, don't worry, it's not for everyone'.
I'm keeping her on FB, as a mutual friend is due back from travelling soon and will be unemployed. She's been a virgin vie rep in the past so I want to look out for her.

I've been lurking through most of the threads, commented a couple of times. Don't really have any bots on my FB any more, both have been silent for a few weeks now.

I did have an experience of someone trying to sign me up (don't know which MLM it was). It was 2009 and I'd been made redundant and was desperate for a job. Obviously signed up to a website or something and a woman called me, chatted for a while about working from home, selling a product to people, building up a customer base etc. When she told me I needed to pay x amount to buy the products to start up I remember saying "I have no job and no money, how on earth can I afford that?" she tried to tell me I'd promptly make the money back but I hung up on her. Wish I could remember who it was.

sadly I was in meetings most of the day (you know, REAL meetings) so I was unable to avail myself of all the aloeshite being peddled. I did however see a bright yellow holdall being carried by a pair of eyebrows with legs ;) This 3 minutes after the scheduled closure time !!!!
