Long time listener, first time caller here. I actually got rid of my Facebook just before going on maternity leave (so therapeutic, though I have replaced it with mumsnet it seems....)
I was only ever approached by a friends cousin trying to get #teamies for her #yooneek empire of #bossbabes. She really went for it for a while as she was perfect maternity leave fodder free time, not sure if she's kept at it though.

I really love reading the threads and have been keeping up as best as you chatty folk will let me! Keep at it!

I had a concerning meeting with a younique rep today. Without giving to much information, I work with vulnerable woman, referred to my work by social services and health visitors. I met one such woman last week following her referral and today brought her to a social coffee morning type thing to meet other women (all in similar situations).

I swear, all she spoke about was younique.

Not recruiting, yet, but omg.

I'm going to have to speak to my manager. She's the first I'm aware of, doubt she will be the last.

and it seems that she comes from a pretty comfortable background (she and her siblings at independent school back in the day) unless of course it was all smoke and mirrors back in the day too ;)

I saw an ad on FB - wish I'd screenshot it because I can't remember where I saw it. It was a competition where one of the prizes was a mentoring session with one of the Lanzabots which was worth £500. Can't remember how many hours the lucky winner would get for this particular intellectual feast - think it might have been two hours.

TV please could you launch a perfume called Eau d'Ordure? I'm sure it would be a welcome addition to the Tragi-comic Cultic-racket fragrance range. 💩🙊👃

De-lurking to say excellent work by all on here. No personal experience of MLMs thank god and haven't noticed anything on FB. But I'm in my 50s so not the new mum demographic. Although I imagine that women my age looking for an alternative to the full time J.O.B or perhaps facing redundancy/retirement on ill health grounds might also be easy pickings for the scammers.

PS - and I think that may be right. It would help if you had a white coat professional standing of some sort together with a healthy bank balance and a load of potentially impressionable friends/family but I can still see some 'hooks' there.

No-one is naturally immune. You may be lower down the hit list but that's not the same thing at all.
