Have you received a letter from HMRC or Concentrix? This is part 8 now. Have you had the dreaded letter demandeing evidence you live alone? Hopefully we can support each other and try and make sense of it all.

Well my situation has completly changed, complained last week and was told case would be looked at, the following day I was able to log in to tax creds online again ( which I've not been able to do whilst this has gone on) assumed my case was closed , until today wen I receive a letter from hmrc stating I hav changed my circumstances and have to pay back all money , rang concentrix and they told me my award was ended because the person that made the desicion wasn't satisfied with my tenancy agreement . I had to send them a rent statement as my original tenancy agreement would have ex,a name on as we wer together when I moved to address. The rent statement clearly states I'm the lead tenant and at no time in the 10 times I've called and chased up my case did anyone bring up that it wasn't sufficient but u unfair was told everything I'd sent was fine. The lady i spoke to today went through my docs with me and said everything looks fine and said she felt it was a wrong desicion and that the person who made it was being very harsh and there wasn't any real grounds to end it. She has put me in a que for reconsid. No doubt il be waitin another 3 months now except this time with no money and struggling. I am fuming, and I'm making a complaint and going to c. A. B and who ever else I can to get this company scrapped!

Shouldstartaprotest16 · 08/09/2016 18:37

Also i would never have had a desicion letter from concentrix as the lady I spoke to today said the desicion maker had left it in drafts and not sent it

ML2009 · 08/09/2016 18:37

I've been contacted also . Demanding a year of invoices from the childminder and bank statements . They've asked for the info from childminder on letter headed paper . Now I'm wondering, why letter headed paper ? Is that so they can contact them to confirm the costs and if so Why don't they contact the child care provider them selves, without me having to provide it in the first place . :-/

ML2009 · 08/09/2016 18:44

Forgot to mention they've already stopped my money because I didn't reply to a firm (concentrix) who id never heard of (asking for my personal details ) Hence my anger with them .

howonearthdidigethere · 09/09/2016 08:05

I think my case may be closed... Maybe.

I rang last week (after 5 months) and was told - I have good news for you! Your case is being reviewed right now! My computer says it's with the decision team. I could've cried - it had been with the decisions team since the 16th of August!

I rang last night (I really need to update my childcare costs) and the woman said that she was working a late shift and that she was going to try to get it signed off for me during her shift. Sure enough, I have just successfully logged on to my online account and my next payment is showing the usual amount. I wish I knew who that woman was so that I could send her flowers, although Concentrix does all seem very random in its organisation.

I won't relax until I get a letter and my next payment, so that I know everything is as it should be.

Good luck everyone. Help you get resolutions very soon.

mamamiaa · 09/09/2016 10:23

Thats brilliant howonearth. Can i ask how long you were waiting and was it childcare?

I have been waiting since april and have rang numerous times but not getting anywhere?

Emma4729 · 09/09/2016 11:01

I received a letter from concentrix about 3 months ago. They sent all.my documents back within a week and said I would hear from them shortly. I gave all the information they wanted, I had the living with a partner letter. Is this wait normal? My money has stayed the same nd they won't give me no information over the phone it's just so weird to wait so long to hear what they have in store for you

cashmoneyhoney · 09/09/2016 11:39

I have been on hold for a total of just below 5 hours. I still haven't spoken to anyone! (Tried 8am, tried 730pm & tunes in between!)
Just got my phonebill. With VAT this has cost over £24! I'm livid & daren't phone them again! Sent them a letter recorded post. They haven't called me back. So angry!

howonearthdidigethere · 09/09/2016 14:04

I can't remember - I notice that Concentrix have not put the date on any letters that they sent to me, but I think it was either the end of May or the end of June and, yes, it was for childcare. My documents were then returned a fortnight later.

I've called once a week - one day it took 137 attempts to get through. I am confused because I don't know how it can sit with the decision panel for nearly a month and then a week later one of the operators is able to sign it off with an hour or two. Very strange.

So the final decision may change, I guess, but at least I can now access my online account and have been able to submit details of the a change in my childcare costs for September. So stressful.

mamamiaa · 09/09/2016 14:16

I reveived my first letter in april about childcare but i have over estimated so think i may have an overpayment which i have to pay back but not sure. Was all your childcare accurate?

Scottishthreeberry16 · 09/09/2016 16:10

Sorry if it's been answered already but if my separated ex pays maintenance sum for our child (who lives permanently) with me to cover housing, food, bills, will that stop me getting child tax credits? Does he need to label it 'child maintenance' to pay into my bank a/c to stop them automatically assuming it's spousal maintenance?

Ohthegrandolddukeofyorkjellies · 09/09/2016 20:06

I think I may have been underpaid, as the very first person I ever spoke to when I first started claiming was a bit vague when I asked whether I should deduct my ex-husband's contribution from the costs, so that's what I had been doing for the last 2 years. Apparently that's not the case, so when Concentrix contacted me I just sent off the full details. Maybe when (if?) I get a letter it will explain what they decided, but for now my online account was showing my original payment and has been updated in the last few hours to show my recent increase in payment costs. I may or may not get a rebate, but I've been so worried about this process that I'm frankly past caring!

Ohthegrandolddukeofyorkjellies · 09/09/2016 20:08

Sorry - Mumsnet has suddenly revived my old user name from around 6 years ago! That last post was was by howonearthdidigethere. Weird!

KayJ86 · 09/09/2016 21:19

So I got a letter from concentrix asking for a years wage slips, I gave it to them, then they stopped my working tax credits! They say I don't work 24 hours, I do! So done a reconstruction and sent them a letter from my work confirming what I work and when I started, they still say I can't have working tax credits as I haven't working 24 hours a week, I work in a nursing home so when bug goes round stuff get it too, I have two children (4 and 2) and if my other half is ill I need to look after the kids, plus I have been back and fourth to hospital for the past 18-24 month, now concentrix are say if I disagree with what they have said I have to take it to a tribunal, what do I do? Have any of you been here? And what did you do? I'm so stuck

Does anyone know how long a mandotory reconsideration takes to be looked at, and if concentrix have a deadline for them??

Mrsbussy69 · 12/09/2016 20:02

I have had childcare one and been waiting since june everytime i ring i am told it will be in a couple of weeks and never is! Ridiculous when initial letter said 15 days!

Shouldstartaprotest16 · 12/09/2016 20:45

Ah god has your money been stopped ? Mine has and I'm also on all other benefits too and sure it won't b long until they catch wind of this and stop my money too, will actually lose the roof over my head if this isn't sorted soon. Off to cits advice tomorow

whirlygirly · 12/09/2016 20:58

Me too, Mrs bussy. I'm getting nervous that any repayment is properly stacking up now too Sad

Mrsbussy69 · 13/09/2016 06:44

In the meantime i have actually had to change my childminder as mine stopped being a childminder, i wasnt allowed to cgange anything with tax credits themselves i have to change it with concentrix so i dont know if new childcare claim will be processed as i have not had my renewal from tax credits and when i rang theg said because concentrix hasnt signed my case off yet, it is getting silly now it shoild not take months and months!!

shelly666 · 13/09/2016 17:35

Hi all. I am also having issues with concentrix. I received a letter from them back in may asking for evidence of my childcare for the year 2015 to 2016. Not a problem and I sent the paperwork off by the cut off date of 2nd of June. My childminder upped my fee by 40 pounds a week at the end of April which included in the paperwork and sent evidence from my child minder to that affect. I then did my tax credit renewal also stating the increase. I received my paperwork back the middle of July but my award notice did not take into account or ammendments the increase in fees so I rang HM Revenues and Customs. They informed me that they could not ammend my award or payments as concentrix had not closed my case. I rang concentrix. Systems were down and I was told to call back later that day which I did. I was told my case had been investigated, that everything is fine and I was in the verification queue. That was nearly 8 weeks ago. I have tried over the last two weeks to telephone concentrix and cannot get through. I am having to pay an extra £160 a month to my childminder which has now totalled £800 since my fee was upped. Tax credits have said they can't ammend my claim until concentrix verifies my claim is OK and puts a note on my account but it is impossible to contact concentrix by telephone. I asked about complaints and the customer service Representative said I would have to complain directly to concentrix (ha joke) and that they have had so many angry people ringing them up about the shoddy and unprofessional service they have recieved by this awful company. I am writing my complaint this evening. I am wondering if anyone else has a similar experience or has been waiting for the same time period. It has been 5 months since I received the initial letter. Comments appreciated.

Flowerpower41 · 13/09/2016 18:16

shelly666 just a suggestion would the local MP be able to vocalise some of your concerns also? Not sure if you have time or they would be interested but worth a shot?

It does seem totally outrageous the amount of stress that Concentrix put people under with all this vetting and paperwork.

shelly666 · 13/09/2016 18:59

Seems like concentrix are hitting the news

Local MP is my next port of call

Manwithnoface · 13/09/2016 20:53

So apparently HMRC aren't renewing the contract? So where does that leave everyone? Because you all couldn't get off your arses to get a better paid job and waste tax payers money and complain constantly the end result is that you are putting people on the line where you all say you are! The people of concentric are hard working people who may not have a good process to follow but it is their job! Now because you all have complained these people are losing their jobs! Now those people with family's won't be able to feed their children! But as long as you screw the tax payers to get something for nothing it's all ok! Hope you are all proud AngryAngryAngry
