(I didn't pay for it Xenu. To her credit, she did tell me that I had a healthy system and didn't need anymore.)

There's a lovely rant from Saffy in AbFab when she lists all the silly new age treatments that Edina had - Edina would def drink aloe gloop and aloe water - and it ends, 'and once a month you pay someone to stick a hose up your bum and flush it all out!

WHY CAN'T YOU GO TO THE TOILET LIKE NORML PEOPLE?!'

:)

Crazybaglady · 11/01/2016 11:00

My bot must be on to me... She just posted this Grin

AbFab was the best back in its day! Eddie and Patsy would be so into MLMs I bet.

I still live by the TICKETS MONEY PASSPORT! panic mantra.

LadyHonoriaDedlock · 11/01/2016 12:27

splutter

My bot posted another pic of her pouting in unremarkable lipstick with this caption:

Get the look....
Opulence Lipstick: Stinkin Rich
Lip Pencil: Primal
Splurge: Skeptical

Stinkin rich? She wishes. Needs to use a bit more 'skeptical' if you ask me....

M0biusgeek · 11/01/2016 12:34

This happened yesterday on a food group i'm in. LOLZ. Someone posted this to say how stupid thier 'friend' was who posted it and LOTS of people agreed. Some more interesting comments about the C9 too...

In other news, i've always liked to compare Forever Living bots to zombies in the walking dead. Turns out there is another camp of survivors on MN too... www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/2425633-Rant-needed-Multi-level-marketing-and-the-mysterious-messages-from-those-sucked-in?pg=5&order=

sminkypink · 11/01/2016 13:19

so that's the second person, I've read about hospitalised because of the clean 9. Disgusting!

Fishboneschokus · 11/01/2016 13:43

Cost of being a FLO:

Start up box: £200
Pupp box: don't know
DSL (tax and accounts): £10 pa
Forever Living Knowledge: (traing and info) £44 pa
Clean9: £108.95

Monthly costs (based on 'typical customer use from Möbius Link plus most basic rec personal use):

Gel: (2pm): £43.24
Tooth gel: (1pm): 5.75
Deodorant: (half pm): £3.15
Shampoo: (half pm): 7.35
Hand and face soap: (1pm): £11.27
Conditioner: (half pm)
Bee pollen (1pm): £13.07
Voicemail: ( for info): £10.72pm

So, fixed star up cost: £362.95
Ongoing monthly cost: £104.26

So, £467.21 in first month and £104.26 each month after that.

NB 1. This does not include laundry and cleaning products, makeup, dog products etc.
NB 2. May contain mistakes because I couldn't find calculator
NB 3. How much does training cost and how often is it?

Fishboneschokus · 11/01/2016 13:49

And a new one to me - 'F.I.T. 2 pack Chocolate': £220.76

'Strengthen and tone.... Build lean muscle.... Blah blah

Fishboneschokus · 11/01/2016 13:50

Forgot the pro-planner; was that £30?

bettyberry · 11/01/2016 13:58

Success day tickets, Expenses such as flyers, table cloths/banners, fees to attend fairs, all those coffees, petrol/bus fares, website fees...

darceybussell · 11/01/2016 14:06

I think they have to do much more personal use, I think a manager often buys about 10ccs personal use a month - so about £1,600, but less for a new person obviously

sminkypink · 11/01/2016 14:13

don't forget the website subscription, think its about £40 a quarter.

sminkypink · 11/01/2016 14:19

According to that training guide there's a success day every month, plus the sizzles (my bot seems to be at a 'thing' most weekends). Judging by the photos she put on Facebook for the bot training, I reckon she won't have had change out of £500 for the weekend she's just been on. She booked a five star hotel, they went to dinner twice, then there's lunches, coffees & petrol.
Thank God my clients fully expense me - just forked out £500 myself last week but at least I'll get every penny back.
The training makes me want to weep, all it ever is, is brainwashing you into having the guts to pester every single human being that ever crosses your path and brainwash you into thinking you are some kind of Jesus figure for doing so. It's an insult to the genuine business coaches out there.
The training guide is such a revelation. It's all about recruiting and nothing about the products at all. No wonder their customers are taken ill!

sminkypink · 11/01/2016 14:20

and yes the pro planner is thirty quid!

Annie65 · 11/01/2016 14:26

Well after reading the upload the new recruits have I know my SIL hasnt done her customer reviews correctly. I brought the heat lotion and deodorant from her ,(before I knew what FL really was about) I told her the deodorant was crap, didnt stop me sweating and made me smell of BO, lovely, but just before Xmas she asked if she could "pop" me the 2 items on an order form so I didnt run out during the Xmas period. Obviously I said "no". She will have ticked the "negative "box by my name now.Grin

Fishboneschokus · 11/01/2016 14:33

Website (fl knowledge is included; £44 pa)

Yeah, I'm sure that they need to buy loads more; detergent is£20/l.

Haven't looked at make up.

In fac, that monthly list is more about how much flo s would expect their regular customers (mum and Aunty Jean) to shell out for each month, based on the link from Möbius.

How much are success days?

And petrol, babysitters, coffees...

Are the business presentations free?
What about the 'sizzles'?

sminkypink · 11/01/2016 14:36

Now I've read the training guide, so many of my bots make sense, all of those posts about 'earning two thousand pounds a month in six months time' and 'becoming a supervisor in eight weeks.'
But thankfully, most people don't seem to have the complete lack of shame required to get to that stage.

sminkypink · 11/01/2016 14:37

One bot who I challenged said that the sizzles weren't free, because the top bots ask for a donation, see the top of the pyramid doesn't lose out like the ants legs do.

M0biusgeek · 11/01/2016 14:38

don't forget:

launch days... (and all expenses associated inc buying products & refreshments) They even have to buy the tablecloth that has the FL logo on! That alone is about £25 for the 'official' one from FL!!

Event stalls.. (table rent) - wedding fayre tables are at least £200-300!

Advertising (printed media / FB ads)

Petrol. Driving about to drop off/pick up PUPP boxes & go to events across the country.

Success days are about £25 just for the ticket. Snidey FL don't even feed them for that. Last time i checked, it was about apron £40,000 to rent that room. hirespace.com/Spaces/London/32949/ExCeL-London/ICC-Auditorium/Business

"DONT MISS IT OR YOU WONT BE SUCCESSFUL" Network Marketing training events with Eric Worre / JAfar aka DaveOConnor etc. etc. can be £100's for a weekend event of brainwashing.

Books & DVDs ... ££££

Bovnydazzler · 11/01/2016 14:40

Annie your SIL is taking the training word for word from Emma Cooper's training... Pestering people to 'pop' things on their order for them (her 9-10 customers spend circa £100-£120 per month!)

Bots are v strongly encouraged to spend at least 1CC (is that £140ish wholesale?) on products for themselves. Holy cow I'd struggle to spend that in a year. I think it was Jayne Leeches training where she said that to achieve manager they should be looking at at least 23-25 products that they use personally every day.

On a different note... I really don't get the hysteria amongst the bots for 'Coops' castle, it's hours and hours of driving (near Newport?) for most bots to get to so travel expense high for the one night training incentive. And only barely satisfies the vague criteria of castle-esque, it's just a large stone house really.

Bovnydazzler · 11/01/2016 14:45

Also... The uplines are clearly expected to present various team members with expensive bouquets, presents etc on a seemingly regular basis based on the gushing thanks for these gifts on Facebook. That's going to come straight out of the manager (or even supervisor) profits.

All accompanied on Facebook with 'wow thank you for the amazing flowers, I never got recognition and thanks like this working 9-5' etc... Maybe not, but you probably got holiday pay, mat pay and a pension.

Fishboneschokus · 11/01/2016 14:46

Bob, you wouldn't struggle to spend that if you looked at the prices!

How is someone who is struggling to pay off their catalogue going to find £500 to start and probably more than £200 pm to stay in?

xenu1 · 11/01/2016 15:05

Fishboneschokus great info, but surely you've forgotten the 1CC per month that FLOs must spend themselves? That's a minimum of £160 per month IIRC -tho of course some of that is made up of the items you mention under "Ongoing monthly cost: £104.20"

Spikeypants02 · 11/01/2016 15:05

I've been following these threads and resisting the urge to post, but looking at Claire Spencer doing the whole look at me I'm about to buy/rent (not specified surprisingly!!) a great big country pile has given me the rage! Funnily enough she then posted that they have been beaten to it, but hey presto, it's still up for sale & rent online. I was very helpful and left a comment to tell her it is still available!!
