I have just read the terms and conditions, one of which is that you have to have read the Company Policy Hanbook.

(So much for Jane Leach etc saying that you do not need to understand this stuff when you sign up).

I then tried to read the Company Policy Handbook. Dear God! I gave up. But I did notice this, which I don't think is adhered to, and may be the basis for a complaint for breaking the rules:

6.23: 'Before taking any of our Products please consult your doctor. Our products are not medicines and do not carry any medicinal licences.'

Note the word ANY.

Some naughty bots (or escapees?) are selling FL crap on Amazon. If you look at some if the reviews it's quite funny. Some people saying it is crap, others telling you to buy it off them instead.

I'd like to know what a GP would advise to a patient consulting them about drinking Aloe gloop or Clean 9. Could anyone ask one?

My late father was a GP and I know what he would say.

Fishboneschokus · 10/01/2016 23:51

No idea how to screenshot but if you google 'forever living company handbook' and scroll down to chapter 6 (I think it is retailing to customers), it is 6.23. It will be v easy to find as long as you do not read the previous five chapters which are coma-inducing.

:)

Fishbones, here is another bit in the handbook about medical claims. You are not allowed to make any. But if you do, FL are not responsible!!

The whole concept of 'detoxing' is bollocks, even if it's just done with actual 'clean' food, let alone aloe drinks. We have livers and kidneys which (in most cases) work very well to clear our bodies of toxins.

Good article here (not least because it contains the phrase 'Then there’s colonic irrigation. Its proponents will tell you that plaques of impacted poo can lurk in your colon for months or years' Grin)

www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2014/dec/05/detox-myth-health-diet-science-ignorance

Fishboneschokus · 11/01/2016 00:19

I've had colonic irrigation. It's a bit like having your ears syringes.
The lady who did it was an ex-vicar and she said that the two jobs were surprisingly similar.
:)

rayofhope · 11/01/2016 07:44

I was told not to make medical claims and tell people to consult their dr if they're unsure about taking aloe or are on medication etc.

Also lots of words I wasn't allowed to use. Detox is one of them. Told to say it's a cleanse not a detox.

But so many don't follow it. Scary that forever can then say it's nothing to do with them. So just wash their hands of you.

Anyone else get visions of Del Boy and his Peckham Spring water when you see those bottles?

Toobusytowee · 11/01/2016 08:57

I think Timeless Vie needs a nice three wheeler vehicle for a company car. Perhaps it could be yellow and a little run down.

Crazybaglady · 11/01/2016 09:24

One of these?!

Great article Wading

penny1ane · 11/01/2016 09:39

I remember there being a £50 minimum order with flp. Because you have the 4cc mindset it is easy to make up any smaller orders with personal products. You are encouraged to try out new products each month so it always seemed justified to spend that little bit extra.
When I left flp I stopped drinking the gel (still feel the same) and went back to using high St products.
What I noticed when going back to non flp products was my bank account started increasing.
I never felt I spent excessively but was amazed with the difference.
I always thought the flp products were good but not worth the priced they charge.

xenu1 · 11/01/2016 09:43

*fishbone" "I've had colonic irrigation. It's a bit like having your ears syringed."

Really? :)

dreich · 11/01/2016 09:50

That Del Boy car fits in well with the fact the bots are always talking about how successful they will be in the future 'next year Rodney we'll all be millionaires'! Deluded.

Toobusytowee · 11/01/2016 10:11

And the whole 'New York, Paris, Peckham' line! What a Globally successful business it must be!

darceybussell · 11/01/2016 10:15

One bot actually did post this at new year funnily enough...

rayofhope · 11/01/2016 10:28

darceybussell hahaha

penny I've noticed the same!! Plus I thought I'd give Holland & Barrett's aloe a go and I'm getting the same benefits I was from Forever but for a hell of a lot cheaper, especially on their penny sales.
