I don't know if this is of interest to anyone, but MLM from a standpoint of recruitment fraud (until recently I worked in this over 8 years for a major UK job board).
MLM - HL, FL, Younique, Kleeneze, Bettaware and the rest - were always, always trying to get on to recruit new people into their amazing opportunity. Each day we'd also get complaints about these companies - not because we featured their jobs, but because seekers used to just complain to us anyway.
While not "fraud" as such, no way did we want our brand to be associated with these - they were a major headache for us (always different company name / email / address variants to check for) and is the reason why I am so anti-MLM (wouldn't have known what it was in such detail, otherwise).
I'm so glad to have found this thread - finally people who hate this shit just as much as I do!
I read the whole Younique thread on NM - so so so sad for a lot of them. Some very naive people there all being worked up by a frenzy of huns and mutual backslapping - how many of them are millionaires by now, I wonder...?
