Anyone had any joy with Royal bank of scotland???

kslatts · 18/01/2007 15:34

Hi Redshoes, the address for Nationwide is

Data Protection Team
Nationwide Building Society
Kings Park Road
Moulton Park
Northampton
NN3 6NW

I got my statements today, expecting my total charges to be about £600, was shocked that they actually total £1032. Going to send ny next letter straight off.

Today is 40 days after my Mum sent her letter and cheque to Lloyds requesting details of her charges and she still hasn't received anything, she sent it recorded so know it arrives, Anyone know what her next step would be.

Which letter was that a reply to Jampots?

KezzaG · 18/01/2007 15:37

I have just started doing this and found this website really easy to follow. It gives a step by step chart of what to do when you initially get rejected. I havent read the whole thread so apologies if this has already been mentioned.

thanks kslatts. Think the consumeractiongroup website tells you the letter to send next - think it's a 'letter before action' ie last chance before you issue proceedings

jampots · 19/01/2007 11:15

i wrote to Lloyds asking to refund my charges in teh sum of £. They have very politely refused.

Jelley · 19/01/2007 11:48

jampots - you need the letter before action, too.

I'm just printing my polite request letter off.

redshoes · 19/01/2007 14:16

Has anyone's bank closed their account or cancelled their overdraft in response to any of these letters??

sweetkitty · 19/01/2007 16:45

I sent letter two off to the Halifax today, from my statements I found out they had charged me £30 for being 84p overdrawn for 24 hours!!!

DP works for one of the banks mentioned on here and he has been drafted in to work on these sorts of claims as the bank has received so many. Most people are receiving some sort of payment.

fizzbuzz · 19/01/2007 17:01

I think the Halifax are particularly evil in this respect

jambuttie · 20/01/2007 14:51

I asked for statements ages ago too, but not heard anything from Halifax.

jambuttie · 22/01/2007 22:20

What letter do I send if I have had no response from letter 1?

Jelley · 22/01/2007 22:26

Money saving Expert says follow up with a phone call then repot to Blahdy blah(forgotten it already)commisioner.

Jelley · 22/01/2007 22:27

going for 3 - send another copy, and sign it this time, just to be sure

jambuttie · 22/01/2007 22:33

I called them today and no statements had been requested they have said they will issue them without charge. so how long should i give them

princessmel · 23/01/2007 12:57

jambuttie, that sounds like us. I rang up Halifax again yesterday and it seems that my call asking for statements was not proccesed properly. Wrong department or something.

Anyway its being sorted now . Well thats what he said...

inanidealworld · 24/01/2007 12:30
