Hey girls thought I'd start a part 4 before part 3 reaches the limit. Anyone having received a letter from concentric or hrmc telling you they have evidence of you living with another adult please join us with your experiences, comments or support.

Babyalan13 I thinks it's gonna be week before we hear anything

babyalan13 · 24/06/2015 12:44

Think your right Zola! :( another week of pure worry. Driving me mad! Post man been an gone! :(

nikkif80 · 24/06/2015 12:49

When they returned my docs they had to be signed for by me!

I think i must have got mine in earlier before the back log came back.

Still no finalised award yet but HMRC confirmed it was finalised after Concentrix closed case 15th June. So i hope to see finalised award soon.

My payments have gone down by 9£ a month.
I received the letter from Concentrix saying case closed 5 days after they closed it!

Good luck everyone.
Im sure we will be back here again next year! I will pop on to keep advising people who are panicking!

Takes a lot of reading and patience, but if you go look at their contract between them and hmrc you will see what rights we have, I'm sorry if spamming in here x
Should I post the link?

babyalan13 · 24/06/2015 14:25

Must get a look! Aye post link! Thanks

Consent2trix · 24/06/2015 14:26

Says they only expect 50% of people to even respond to the letters, and 50% to make calls, they're only required to answer 50% of the calls and letters also. The contract runs out in August for tax credits then they're training for one week and working on immigrants, then back onto tax credits next year x

Consent2trix · 24/06/2015 14:27

It's pdf format sorry x only thing I could find x

ciaraDon · 24/06/2015 14:28

Interesting reading. Some of the mums at school ive been talking to have said constant calling them can look suspicious to them so its a Catch 22.

ciaraDon · 24/06/2015 14:31

They record every call against your case and hope people will incriminate themselves.

Consent2trix · 24/06/2015 14:32

That's what I got from reading their contract, I'm going to have a bloody good read tonight when the kids are asleep. It was hard establishing who was who, but I think all (if we need info to friend against time scales or desciscions) info is going to be in that contract, regarding our rights ect x

Consent2trix · 24/06/2015 14:33

Yes I saw that ciara

ciaraDon · 24/06/2015 14:46

Bloody scary stuff I will have a good read of that in detail later thanks for posting that ! They were obviously ecpecting high call volumes over these letters and the recorded calls are part of their investigation. Ladies I think they will work through these cases at their own pace despite phoning them , they lie and fob off on the phone as I know from my experience and I really believe they are hoping to deter claims because people might not want to go through the hassle. I think once docs have been signed for just leave phoning till the deadline has passed then call for an update. After that if youve no joy phone hmrc direct to see if they can give any info.

jonny82 · 24/06/2015 14:46

I don't think calling often can be looked at wrongly at all.

I'm sorry but we have sent sensitive info to them and sometimes take weeks to scan in system.

If that was ever bought up I would lose it with whoever I was talking to and just say what would you rather me not call and then you can say why haven't you contacted us as that's your responsibility.

It's not our fault they have bitten off more than they can chew.

I must admit I have called alot but I have every right when they have a full years payslips p60 and other bits with national insurance numbers on etc.

ciaraDon · 24/06/2015 14:55

I know jonny and we are perfectly entitled to phone but I think they will look at multiple calls with suspicion , it seems to be the way they work. Most of us have nothing to hide but made to feel like criminals , the whole situation is geared towards making as few people want to claim as possible.
