A letter from concentric part 4!

Hey girls thought I'd start a part 4 before part 3 reaches the limit. Anyone having received a letter from concentric or hrmc telling you they have evidence of you living with another adult please join us with your experiences, comments or support.

95%within two days! !!! Three weeks on and heard nothing. Is it worth complaining to hmrc??? This is not on! !!

That's interesting consent2trix wonder how they would react if we quoted that to them on the phone!
Another failure in there contract with hmrc!

I'm sat making notes on everything they're doing against their contract, I don't know why, what good it will do, but it's wrong that they're able to do this and it will be an annual problem we have to deal with cos they're Halfwits x

They had my papers on the 6th May, sent them back to me saying they will let me know about my claim soon. I then got another letter on the 13th June asking for all the same information to be sent by June 22nd, I wrote to them asking if this was a mistake or do I have to send it all back to them again, they signed for that letter a week ago. So will see what comes next.

What is your check for beckyjj? Probably got at least another 2 weeks before they open your letter. Keep us updated on how it goes.

12fedup12, they thought I had a partner living with me, seems like a few of us have had the same letter.

Becky which letter did you receive from them? Did you send all the documents that they requested or some and a covering letter? Was it recorded delivery?
Sorry for my questions, I'm searching for patterns, they've rattled my cage and I can't help but want to rattle back.

Both letters I received are saying they have information that there may be another adult living with me etc. Sent them bank statements for the year and bills etc. I sent a covering letter and sent them all this 1st class signed for.

Maybe you should phone them and ask what's going on do both letters have the same case number?

My stuff was returned June 22nd but letter dated June 6th. I am kind of hoping they will inform me everything is ok very soon because they are still making my weekly payments. Some one posted earlier, they scan your stuff and return it before looking at your claim. I am hoping this is not always the case. I wish someone who worked there would join our posts and give us the inside info, I'm sure we'd all appreciate it. My close date was June 20th, same as Babyalan, have you had your documents returned yet baby? I am hoping and praying everything is ok. All of you are in my thoughts. I have enough to deal with without this. Mainstream school have just more or less told me they can no longer cope with the young 'uns needs. They have the same case number. I got fed up with trying to phone them I could never get through so thought I would wait.

Oh stresshead that's terrible about the school and your child.

Could you phone now or tomorrow and ask I think given that the date on letter was 6th of June you have given them long enough and with any luck it has all been done for you.

I would have thought it was sent in error maybe they printed the wrong letter off, have you tried calling at 8am?

I will try again on Friday if I can get time before I need to go out. :-)

I'm sorry but these companies don't just send out letters on a whim, in the majority of cases they must have evidence that you do indeed live with a partner. And they won't believe all this "oh well I let him use my address for mailing purposes, he only stops over three nights a week" crap anymore than I do, sorry.

They use credit reference agencies, electoral roles and possibly other means.
The information the accusations are based on are no good reasons.past tenants and neighbours in some cases.
The person in question in my case is in fact my father who had a break down and came to stay with me last year, he changed his name by depoll to dissasioate himself from his parents who he hadn't spoke to in years, because his name doesn't match and i am unable to prove this as I asked him to leave last June because he wouldn't get psychiatric help which he needed. So ange80, everybody circumstances are different and you are wrong in making that comment.

12fedup12,I am too afraid to ring them. I get upset on the phone and frustrated. The kids who answer don't really know how to respond to wailing woman. I will have to appeal if the close my claim and I have enough fights on my hand. No news, is good news , except in poor Morgan's case. time scale. I received the partner letter May 22nd, sent what docs I had back May 22nd. I rang May 26th (nothing on system), My end date was June 20th. My docs were returned June 22nd but dated June 6th. I sent first class, not recorded because HMRC are supposed to allow you the cheapest form of delivery. They send their letters 2nd class, still shouldn't take 16 days like! I wish I had the confidence of you ladies who can ring, I just shake and cry! Then worry about the phone bill. I suspect July 9th looms large for every one claiming tax credits, isn't that when we found out where Mr Cameron's axe is to fall? Those of us old enough to remember the 80's remember just how bad life under the tories is for the working poor and poor in general.

Well I absolutely 100% do not live with anyone other than my 3 children nor do I have anybody staying over regularly so I would be interested in what "EVIDENCE" it is that they think they have. In fact I would rather that someone had been spying on me for 6 months than this that way they would see that I don't live with anybody for themselves!! I really don't know why you felt the need to post that comment. For some of us it's not "crap" as you put it....

Angel that's a very simplistic and blinkered statement. Some of us are divorced or widowed and have had to send divorce papers and death certificates. Some have been accused of living with themselves as their maiden name came up in credit searches. Some accused of livinf with their landlords , past owners and tenants. Of course there are fraudulent claims but everyone is being accused to try to catch a minority. You really shouldn't make such sweeping statements without being informed. But I'm guessing you posted on this thtead to ruffle a few feathers and get some kind of reaction ?
