Mypubes (loving the name it makes me smile) they've told me I've got an overpayment of £7000 wtf,how they expect me to pay that back I don't know. Please don't be frightened, nearly all of us on here are in the same boat, being accused of Irving with a partner being asked to send evidence we dont have its an absolute joke. But you're not on your own,the support on this three is amazing i would have caved in before now if it wasn't for the support on here. You can only send what you have and send a covering letter explaining what you don't have.

Bloody hell Mypubes thats awful, that would scare me as well Sad

LotusLight · 24/05/2015 19:58

Morgan if your MP's letter did not work that is a worry.
You could threaten to sue them I suppose. Would a legal letter scare them which encloses a further copy of the MP letter and you could even sue without lawyers (so not much cost) and if you are on a very a low income you may have no court fees to pay either. May be do it on line on moneyclaimsonline although you probably have to pay some kind of court fee on there. It is like holiday companies - you tend to get their attention if you bring a court claim with court deadlines - they have limited period to put in a defence to your claim at court and court is public so bad publicity for them and a judge would look at whether you had wrongly had money removed from you. would be even better if you could find a law firm who specialise in benefits cases who would like to do a pro bono no fee test case against C/HMRC.

Morgan97 · 24/05/2015 20:54

Lotus I wouldn't know where to start to be honest,my heads all over the place with all the stress this has caused. They obviously know about my mp. I have no spare money for lawyers I'm just about surviving now,I'm on one meal a day if that, and dd is my priority she's on three meals a day albeit just the basics no treats or anything. I've told hrmc ive also been approached by a bbc reporter which I have but so far he's just gathering information. I'm so worried now I'm trying to stay positive but it's not easy,I appreciate your advice thank you

I was thinking I can see this thread appearing on Panorama!! It is an absolute disgrace that they have left people without means to buy food Angry

Morgan Flowers i hope you get some positive news really soon.

Morgan97 · 24/05/2015 23:36

Awwww thank you girliefriend, wouldn't that be great for us if we had that sort of publicity can't see it happening though. If they had given me some sort of notice it wouldn't have been so bad cos I would have stocked up massively. I'm walking to work and back I've found some vegetable seeds that I've planted so hopefully get some decent food for me and dd instead of the processed cheap crap I'm having to buy. I seriously think I'd be better off not working to be honest.lö

Mypubesarestraight · 25/05/2015 12:23

How the hell do I get all my bank statements, post office statements and things like that to them by the 20th June? I'm panicking.

Mypubesarestraight · 25/05/2015 12:47

They dropped my payments by £80 per week because they said I had an over payment of £5000.

I have always told them the truth. Entitled too said I'm supposed to be getting a lot more than what they were paying me before they dropped my money.

Now they're investigating me Star

LotusLight · 25/05/2015 13:01

It is an awful system and so hard to work out the calculations. I remember when tax credits first came out there was constant trouble over people being given too much money and then huge sums claimed back all at once even though people had had no idea they had been paid too much , never mind mistakes by HMRC.

AdmiralCLingus · 25/05/2015 13:58

They still dont seem to know what theyre doing now lotus!!!

Flowerpower41 · 25/05/2015 14:14

girliefriend how long did it take for Concentrix to reply to your response? Approximately how many weeks? I have a childcare query one to do too which is stressing me out really. However they have been underpaying me to start with .... I certainly haven't done anything wrong!

izzy76 · 25/05/2015 17:15

Omg ladies do you remember i said the letters started in jan for someone else well i brought a car the month b4 and it was from the same person i brought it off and ive only just made the conection do you think i should i mention that to Concentrix i am getting really parinoid now

girliefriend · 25/05/2015 17:27

Flower they haven't replied yet!

I seriously am thinking I will stop claiming the childcare element as its not worth the stress but that annoys me as its obviously what they want people to do!!

I sent all the information of they requested about 2 weeks or so ago now, I hate the way they make you feel like a criminal when I have always been as honest as possible (I'm a nurse ffs!!) I just hope they don't start asking for more information or start mucking about with my payments like they have for some of you Sad Angry

LotusLight · 25/05/2015 19:22

izzy if you were the one with identity theft yes send a clear short letter to C setting it all out, copy of car document showing name of previous owner and what has happened.

ciaraDon · 25/05/2015 20:58

More and more single mums getting these letters. I still have not received their "decision" after the return of my documents a fortnight ago. It's affecting me mentally and physically :(

AdmiralCLingus · 25/05/2015 23:43

There has to be something we can do to expose this shambles of an operation theryve got going on?

Morgan97 · 26/05/2015 08:06

Ladies they don't rush themselves to reply,I've sent five letters not one reply! MP wrote to them and I got a mandatory reconsideration form which I've filled in sent back with the only evidence I have which I know isn't enough,it all seems so futile now I'm tired of worrying, maybe I will be better off not working but why should I let them push me into that position,I'm trying to set a good example to my dd but the price is too high to pay. Feeling sad.

ciaraDon · 26/05/2015 09:15

Admiral dont give up, be like a squeaky wheel. They are hoping people won't have the know how or determination to fight back. The truth is on your side , so sorry yoy have been put in this position. Im hoping in my case that no news is good news. My payment is due in this weekend and im actually afraid to phone rhem again in the meantime so will wait to see if it goes in.

ferry78 · 26/05/2015 10:40

Returned my documents on the day I received the letter coming up to 4 weeks ago – My letter was a Mr x from HMRC not concentrix – rang on the day I sent the documents – I don’t want to ring them up again but I am sick of waiting for the post everyday - How long have people had to wait for a decision and do they return documents first ? x

mimz87 · 26/05/2015 12:26

Just phoned them for an update, always seems their systems are down when I ring. You'd have thought they'd have got a new one by now the amount of times it crashes!!!

Morgan97 · 26/05/2015 12:53

ferry it took them just over six weeks to write after I sent my documents but they stopped my money four weeks after receiving them! mimz they won't get a new system in place that's too easy,it's better for them to have a system that crashes then they don't have to answer our questions! Ciara love your comment about being like a squeaky wheel.

OP posts:
izzy76 · 26/05/2015 12:55

Mimz87 ditto they said it will be back on at 3pm i said well you said that the last 4 times i rang you im gonna try again at 3pm as my ct renewal got soaked and they said i can do it over the phone due to me failing my online checks even with a passport! Ladies whos sent there bank statements in do you have to send in each summery letter too? (the 1st page of the statement with totals coming in and out or do i just send the actul bank statement?

LotusLight thank you for the reply i shall add that in to my reply,I am not coping to well with all this stress my mental health nurse is concerned about it too i really dont want another breakdown.
God knows how some of you have coped x

AdmiralCLingus · 26/05/2015 12:55

Ladies, I have logged in with some positive news today!!! Just checked my online banking to see if I have enough to send my nephew a birthday card and I've had a payment go in today, so it looks like they've accepted the evidence I sent them for my new claim. I've had no post about it though, so not sure about my appeal, but DON'T GIVE UP HOPE!!! Keep fighting because the truth will prevail. We are in the right here

Morgan97 · 26/05/2015 13:11

Congratulations admiral soooooooo pleased for you x izzy just send the statements.

OP posts:
ciaraDon · 26/05/2015 13:16

Brilliant news Admiral so pleased for you.
Ferry they return the documents first with a letter saying they will let you know the decision shortly. Mine were returned 2 weeks ago and still not heard. I bit the bullet and phoned , im on hold at the minute and been waiting 20 mins already. Fingers crossed.
