Hello everyone, ((VM pops in and waves madly!))

mm, really thinking about you for tomorrow and hoping it all goes well. Try not to worry; it's a positive step!

barbie, great to hear you sounding so cheerful and that this is probably your AF now too. I'm sure you can't wait for dh to come home - soon, isn't it?

blue, sorry to hear you're not well; just put your feet up and rest as much as you can!

Vjay, decorating - urgh! I have spent the last few days finally unpacking leftover boxes from our house move over a year ago, and clearing the spare room - a real pain. But such a feeling of relief when it's done.

A big hello to jools, sabs and all your other lovely girls! x

Jools1 · 04/12/2008 11:43

Morning all. Hope all is well - am thinking of you MM

I'm trying to limit my mnetting time - keep finding myself drawn to my old antenatal threads and it is not helping, so am still just trying to keep busy. I feel in limbo - want to start TTC but, although I had ov pains, am pretty sure I didn't ovulate, so am really not sure where my cycle is at At the same time,I'm now kicking myself for not going for some BD'ing a little earlier in case I was mega fertile post MC

DP still won't talk about TTC because he wants to wait till we've got over the MC, so I'm kinda stuck - can't make plans, can't get my hopes up and just end up being grumpy all the time

VJay · 04/12/2008 15:53

Hello, love the Christmassy name mollie, i've been trying to think of a festive one for me, but not getting any ideas. As for painting your bathroom.......

Hello mm hope your appointment went well today.

jinglejools they're fab, i'm glad you're doing this, I'm too lazy

JingleJools · 04/12/2008 17:19

hehe - I only joined in July and it took me ages to suss out all the Halloween name changes so I thought I'd try to join in this time [hgrin]

Want a laugh ? I walked to my local office today - 25 mins in the pouring rain - only to find I'd left my laptop on the sofa at home so had to turn straight around and walk home again - grrrr. Got home soaking wet and had to have a hot shower to warm up - decided not to go out again so I've been "working" from home all day !!!

barbie1 · 04/12/2008 17:41

thats where you all are! ive been hone all day and been thinking its very quiet! love santa barbie, im going to change it soon!
Had a very lazy day, took dog to the vets at 9.30 and went ice skating dog walking in the park in the ice and snow, came home and thought of going to post office and food shopping, took the car out of the garage and within 3 minutes realize i hadnt a clue how to deal with the car with it being a rear wheel preformance model! stated sliding and skidding, so ended up getting out of the car in the middle of the road helpless! Ended up having to call the police and waiting freezing and soaking till a kind man came and helped me just before the police arrived ended up taking the car to the local primary school just opposite and asking if i can keep it in there as there was no way i could drive it any further and the school gets locked at night.....came in the house, and got out of wet clothes and been here ever since....no food shopping done or anything!
Hope you are all having better days than me, im waiting to hear how mm is, still not back from the hospital xxx

NativityVillageMum it is! I like it!

Oh barbie what an awful day! Hope you are feeling warmer and cosier now! It's not that icy here, just wet and gloomy - our village has its own dedicated cloud.

VJay, my cycle buddy! Yes, I have to admit that we are, ahem, putting in the required effort right now... I feel so much more human now after the sadness and anxiety of the last two months. How are you feeling? Have your ttc urges got the upper hand?

jools, just keep on BDing if dh is willing, you could ov at any moment in this post-mc cycle...

mollie hello!

mm, thinking of you... x

OP posts:
christmasBarbielovesSanta · 04/12/2008 18:16

opps did it wrong, cant be santabarbie so what do you think of this instead???

mmulledwine · 04/12/2008 18:50

Hello ladies,

Well today went as well as expected. Met the consultant, he went thru our prev history and took blood from both myself and dh (got blood on the second attempt from me that must be a record). We will have to wait for the results but he was honest and gave us the facts on any future preg, so here they are. If everything is clear then we have a 60% chance of a successful preg, apparently even if we go on to mc again the odds always stay above 50% due to the fact we have dd. If the bloods show up with lupus cong...thingy (blood clotting) then with treatment the chances of successful preg are around 85%.
Right now I feel as if we have just been given information I already knew although dh is pretty upbeat about today but I just feel kind of flat. In my opinion today we were told that we will get a baby at the end of this it just depends how many more times we are willing to try.
Back to the wait and see for now.

jinglejools love the name, I was thinking about what to change to and it was either mmulledwine or mmincepies but much prefer mulled wine to mince pies anyday.

nativityvillagemum so so so glad to see you on here, thought we had lost you for a minute there. Good to hear you are feeling back to normal, sounds like dh is glad too.

mollieandtheivy felt you holding my hand today hun, your turn next week so my hand is ready for you when you need it.

vjaymerrilyonhigh so you and vm are cycle buddies, we could have two bfp's at the same time.

santabarbie last but by no means least, got your text today, actually just seen it when I went to turn my phone off going into the hospital so the timing was perfect, thank you hun. Sounds like you had a cold day, the ice and snow has been pretty bad here as well, rear wheel drives don't like it unfortunately, DB changed his car due to the same issue in the winter. You get cosy with that big chocolate lab of yours. Hopefully the worst of the weather is gone for now, anyway in a few weeks you won't need to worry about being cold.

Loving the christmas names, big hellos to anyone I have missed.

mmulledwine · 04/12/2008 18:51

Crossed posts christmasbarbielovessanta.

christmasBarbielovesSanta · 04/12/2008 18:55

Phew mm you are back! thought you had got stuck in a blizzard!
Well at least on the positives he didnt say you would never have any more children...and you havent even got the results back yet so im guessing it will be ok and you will go on to have another baby. Do you have to wait for the results to ttc again, or or you just going to see what happens?
The blood test thingy you had is the one im having too, but there is another one i also have to have but until my dad gets tested i dont know the name of that one...
Im going to not actively try but if it happens then im going to deal with it at the time, im fed up with waiting and wasting time, as im sure you are too.
Hope you arent too flat hun, have a nice evening xxx

christmasBarbielovesSanta · 04/12/2008 18:58

another positive...just think how much fun you will have trying....and its a good way to keep warm!

mmulledwine · 04/12/2008 19:01

He has said to wait till after Feb before ttc again so we will wait till then. We've jumped into ttc quickly before and well you know the results so taking no chances next time. I am fine I guess I was just hoping for the miracle answer which deep down I knew wouldn't happen. Need to go for now to have dinner but will try and come back on later. xxx

VJayMerrilyOnHigh · 04/12/2008 19:20

Hi vm, my lovely cycle buddy, the ttc urges have got the better of us, we are trying. I was meant to be all cool, calm and chilled about it all, but used an opk yesterday and got a positive, so I treated dh to a romantic dinner of fish and chips tonight to get him in the mood..., I was too tired to cook!
mm hope you feel ok after your appointment, February will be here before we know it.
barbie what a day for you, poor duck. You should get your shopping delivered, it will save you time and having to drive your car in this awful weather. I like the snow, but not to drive in.
Love the festive names well done jools, you can be in charge of putting up the decs next....bagsy put the fairy on top of the tree xx

MollieandtheIvy · 04/12/2008 19:57

mmulledwine Sorry to hear you are feeling flat after your appointment, and the news that you should wait til February until TTC must be a blow I know exactly what you mean about wanting the miracle answer and you sound as if you went expecting the worst the same as I am doing. I must admi I'm now a litle nervous about my odds, I take it as I have no children already they could drop below 50%, think I'm dreading next week even more now
Mollieandtheivy waves to one and all

Loving all the christmas names girls

bluechristmasbauble · 04/12/2008 21:23

MMulledwine - sorry you feel flat after your appointment but your DH seemed positive so that can only be a good thing x

Christmasbarbie - step away from the car! Its scary out there in this weather..

Had a xmas shopping day in Glasgow with DH and DS and watched some school children sing 'When a Child is Born' by Johnny Mathis. It was so beautiful I had a (discrete) blub into DS's head (he was sitting on my lap) I was sitting there thinking about the year past and how precious children are and how much of an honour it is to have them.

VM and Vjaymerrily - happy bd

I'm off to do the ironing - groan.

Sabs1981 · 04/12/2008 21:33

Mollie Hope it all goes well for you next week.....

VJay hope the fish and chips did the trick!

mm sorry to hear you're not feeling so great. Trust me, I know how hard it is to play the waiting game, but feb will be here b4 you know it. Sending you lots of hugs

Barbie how's your dad getting on? What a day for you! We didnt get any snow in London

VM good to hear your getting back to RL, but we do miss you on here, dont forget about us!

Jools what a day for you too! Love the name idea, how do i change it?? I know only too well the grumpy feelings and not making plans...we'll get through it together!

Well i went to another exercise class today - body conditioning - well done me! ...I'm going to try to go at least twice a week to exercise classes until I go to India

SleighbellSabs waves to every1 else

christmasBarbielovesSanta · 04/12/2008 21:36

sabs go into your membership page and details, scroll down to nickname, change it to your new one and then save changes

JingleJools · 04/12/2008 21:51

Hi Sabs - well done on the gym

I can't do without it now - a great antidepressant Before I was PG, I was doing 8 - 10 classes per week - Body Combat, Dance Aerobics, Spinning, Legs Bums Tums, Body Attack, Body Pump - a bit of everything really

Whilst PG, I cut down to 6 classes per week and did lots of walking, as I'm mostly based 25 minutes walk away for work now.

My fitness today is absolutely shocking - I think it was the 2 weeks post mc sitting on the sofa and eating choc I am back to 7 classes per week - building up slowly in the hope I can lose the odd half stone before I am PG again

Sorry to hear about your day Barbie I think I'd have ended up just refusing to get in the car at all

mm - sorry you're feeling a bit flat after your appt I wish I could wave a magic wand and get us all the answers we need ...
