Thank you so much. We told our families which was hard because we were waiting to 12 weeks to announce but we didn't want to keep it a secret. I feel these things should be shared more. I'm going to take a while to process and think about my options and see what I feel more comfortable with.

It's something none of us ever want to understand and it's so tough! You never think it will happen to you. But I know I'll get through it like all the other super women who have to do it too.

wag1987 · 18/02/2021 20:12

I'm so confused as I did a pregnancy and ovulation test yesterday as already told you lovely people and very very faint line on pregnancy test and 3 lines on ovulation test and assume ovulation test just picking up hcg in system. I e done another pregnancy test today and no faint line at all. I've ordered a clear blue test which should come through tomorrow as the one I'm using is only a cheapy one. Is it possible I was ovulating and now definitely a negative preg test. I'm only 2 weeks post D&C

2 lines on ovulation test not 3

SuzieDeLaTour · 18/02/2021 20:17

@AMS19 oh I know you’re right, I’m just panicking about actually knowing even though I paid for the pleasure of finding out!! 🤦‍♀️ I’m being seen next Saturday - there was the option to zoom call on Wednesday but I prefer in person. Will keep you guys posted!
@dippyegg32 oh that just sounds so unbelievably frustrating and awful that it gives you false hope 😢 I hope you’re doing ok and putting your feet up this evening x
@Scottishskifun I wasn’t give much more information than a leaflet. They told me to use the miscarriage association website for help and support - no mention of pregnancy tests etc. I only found that out through my gynae who was obviously a lot more thorough!
@Lalalaleigh you’re experience sounds truly terrifying! How traumatic. Please don’t put any pressure on yourself to feel ok by a certain point. It really is a bit of a rollercoaster and I’ve found I have to take each day as it comes. I’m self employed which has been a double-edged sword in that I can’t afford to take time off but equally I don’t have a boss breathing down my neck. Is your work understanding? I wouldn’t push yourself to return if you’re not feeling emotionally / mentally ready. You’ve been through such a shock, take your time xx

TheDaydreamBelievers · 18/02/2021 23:23

@Scottishskifun @Pettylamby @KJLM it just seems to vary so much even WITHIN healthboards. I felt my care was pretty good (Glasgow, was treated well and given good info at each stage) but agree that overall the care is poor and there is next to no follow up.

dippyegg32 · 19/02/2021 06:54

Oh @SuzieDeLaTour you must be on edge but I'm so glad you'll get your results soon.

So I woke up today to 0.35' temp drop, went for a wee and ta daaaaa my period is here bang on cd28. I just hope it's a proper one as only had one since the mmc and it was totally pathetic. Really need it to drive my HCG down before Monday's blood test.

How life has changed. You go from desperation for a positive line to desperation for negative results and a heavy period Hmm

AMS19 · 19/02/2021 07:13

Whoop @dippyegg32 amazing news!!! So happy for you. I honestly reckon that will shift the last stubborn bit xx

Pettylamby · 19/02/2021 08:43

Yay @dippyegg32!

I've had a bit more spotting today so hoping it gears up to a proper period soon! Taking a positive that my Hcg must have dropped more and hopefully now all gone and things can get back to normal!

Hopefully not just wishful thinking! 👌🏻

AMS19 · 19/02/2021 08:45

@Pettylamby also good news! Mine never got past spotting, fingers crossed yours is more substantial. Definitely a good sign on the hcg though!

@wag1987 I think it is possible to ovulate 2 weeks after a mc. I don’t do the ovulation strips but I think I ovulated 2 weeks after based on a change in my cm (egg white). It’s good that you are getting negative pregnancy tests now.

I think my period is starting and I’m only 3 weeks after my miscarriage. I’m usually 30 days cycle so a bit surprised. Anyone else have a period this early after mc? X

wag1987 · 19/02/2021 09:12

@Tealchoc I can't answer this as I've not had my period yet. Suppose will take our bodies a while to get back to normal (whatever normal is)

Ralala · 19/02/2021 09:41

I’m the opposite and no period. Cd33 for me so far. So frustrating. Desperate to get back ttc. Fairly confident I haven’t ovulated and I usually have very obvious ewcm and ovary pinching but nothing. Arghhh.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 19/02/2021 09:43

@Tealchoc I was the same! First period was ages after MC, but only 1 week after confirmed ovulation (so a short luteal phase, same as you). I'm currently 9dpo and AF hasnt appeared yet so seems more normal this cycle.

Tealchoc · 19/02/2021 09:47

That’s good to know @TheDaydreamBelievers! I’m glad af hasn’t shown up yet for you, the short luteal phase was worrying me but it’s great that yours seems more normal this month x

@Ralala I’m sorry, I can imagine how frustrating it is. Fingers crossed for you that af shows very soon x

AMS19 · 19/02/2021 09:52

@TheDaydreamBelievers how are the temps looking now?

OP posts:
Ralala · 19/02/2021 10:07

Thanks @Tealchoc I am being ridiculous as it’s only technically a few days late and also a normal cycle shouldn’t be expected after a mc but I’m normally so regular and I was so hoping it would come roughly on time.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 19/02/2021 10:21

@AMS19 the temps are officially still a yoyo. Almost 100% sure I'm not preggo this month, but that's possibly for the best.

AMS19 · 19/02/2021 10:23

@TheDaydreamBelievers the month I fell pregnant my temps were also a yoyo so you never know! But best to not get our hopes up. I'm focusing and hoping for a decent LP at very least 🤞

@AMS19... So a few weeks ago I had really bad period cramps but no period.. I wondered if maybe the mva had been a hit too successful and there was nothing left to lose during my period? Not sure if that's even a thing?

Assumed this latest spotting might be my period but I've just started getting brown ewcm (sorry tmi) so maybe this is actually ovulation after my 'period'... Now I'm really confused... Do we go for it or do we wait? Never had a proper period but clearly there's nothing to clear out?

Gah I'm so confused!!

Lalalaleigh · 19/02/2021 12:08

@SuzieDeLaTour
I followed advice and spoke to doctors this morning - strangely enough he had no notes from the hospital of my experience since speaking to him last

So explained everything that happened and he has signed me off for a further 2 weeks

My work have been amazing to be honest - it’s my personal work ethic that’s making me feel guilty about it all.

I spoke to work today and they said take as long as I need but coming back an hour or two a day may also be helpful. Which I do agree with so I will see how I feel next and agree a few hours a day front there.

I can imagine how hard decision it would be for you being self-employed. I only think that you need to also take as much time as you need to fully recover mentally and physically and depending work you do try and reduce the amount of hours you do in a day to help

Thank you for your help and support xx

AMS19 · 19/02/2021 12:23

@Pettylamby hmmm tricky! Do you have any OPKs? I tried before a period but its an individual choice. It won't medically be any higher risk, its purely psychological! I decided to go for it and leave it to fate. It didn't happen but I felt okay with that xx

Neady1980 · 19/02/2021 12:43

@Tealchoc I had my first AF 3 weeks after MC. I'm currently on day 5 of it, but thankfully it's a proper bleed (never thought I'd say that) as I hardly bled when I MC only slightly heavier than spotting and not much pain at all. But I've been stuck in bed the last 5 days with AF is been horrendous but I do suffer badly with them anyway. I've a migraine the last 2 days but that's all hormone related.

Hope everyone is doing well xx

Tealchoc · 19/02/2021 12:51

@Neady1980 thanks for sharing this, good to know others have experienced similar.
I’m so sorry you are really so rubbish :( I really hope you feel better soon. It sounds like your womb is having a good clear out anyway. X

Tealchoc · 19/02/2021 12:52

@Neady1980 omg I’m so sorry I meant feel not really! You are not rubbish Blush so sorry xxx

Neady1980 · 19/02/2021 13:12

@Tealchoc I'm glad its having a good clear out, bleeding is heavier than normal and I'm relieved, although it's a bad period I'm grateful that it came early and now i know my body is back to normal so right now I'll take what AF throws at me. It's so weird to actually be grateful to AF show this month normally I'm cursing her but now I'm ready for whatever is to happen next month xx
