@Neady1980 I'm on day 1 of my second af post mc. The first was so pitiful but this is heavy and like you, whilst it's shit I'm hoping it does some good x

Neady1980 · 19/02/2021 14:24

@dippyegg32 fingers crossed for you, I had spotting the day before they started which never happens with me and I thought I was going to get them mild and I was devastated if I'm honest. The next day was full on and I was never so happy to AF arrive.

dippyegg32 · 19/02/2021 14:39

@Neady1980 I also had spotting last time which I never have and it also dragged pitifully for 7 days stop/start which was really annoying. This time it's straight into the Red Sea so I hope it gets over and done with in my usual 4 daysHmm

Scottishskifun · 19/02/2021 14:57

Today is a really tough day, we collected the ashes from the crematorium. We couldn't get there last week due to heavy snow drifts.
We have decided a spot to scatter them overlooking the sea and will be doing so next week when my son will be at nursery.

I am a bit of a emotional wreck so hoping today will be a better day.

DMT1982 · 19/02/2021 15:09

@Ralala @Mondaymonday249 @AMS19 thanks for your replies and sorry it’s taken me an age to get back to you xx

DMT1982 · 19/02/2021 15:11

@AMS19 that’s great news your bloods are back and the levels are low ☺️☺️ Xxx

Jtb10 · 19/02/2021 15:42

@TheDaydreamBelievers I hope you don’t mind me asking, you mentioned your period was ages post mc, when did your period arrive? I’m 10 weeks post mmc and nothing despite 6 weeks of every other pms symptom which is driving me crazy!

dippyegg32 · 19/02/2021 15:45

I'm on a zoom baby shower currently. Jesus Sad

TheDaydreamBelievers · 19/02/2021 15:51

@Jtb10 it was 9.5 weeks lovely. I'm sorry you are still waiting. Have you got negative pregnancy tests and no symptoms of infection? Also have you TTC again (aka is there any way you could be pregnant again)?

wag1987 · 19/02/2021 16:00

Sorry your having a tough day @Scottishskifun sending hugs.

@dippyegg32 I couldn't think of anything worse to be doing right now. Hope it's not too painful for you sitting though it

Jtb10 · 19/02/2021 16:01

@TheDaydreamBelievers thank you, that’s really reassured me, I have been struggling, especially as you see everywhere it should be “4-6 weeks”! Yeah had a negative test pretty soon after, no signs of infection and have been ttc - also negative (I guess there’s always hope!) Feels like limbo, and unfortunately GP isn’t exactly empathetic

TheDaydreamBelievers · 19/02/2021 16:05

@Jtb10 out of interest are you tracking ovulation?

I'd consider phoning your EPU if in a couple if weeks it still hasnt arrived and describing that you are x weeks past miscarriage without a period.

Jtb10 · 19/02/2021 16:20

@TheDaydreamBelievers on and off, that quickly became disheartening! Think you’re right, probably worth giving them a call soon! Thank you :)

Ralala · 19/02/2021 16:36

@Scottishskifun sending love xxx

Ralala · 19/02/2021 16:38

@Jtb10 I would second calling epu . My plan is to call them if no period at 6 weeks post mc xx

dippyegg32 · 19/02/2021 16:46

@Jtb10 definitely get HCG bloods done. You can have periods if your levels are low enough but if they're above I believe 15/20 still it is unlikely. My test yesterday was 7.3 and that's 10.5 weeks post surgery and now on my second period still with pregnancy hormone Sad

Pettylamby · 19/02/2021 16:49

@AMS19 I've taken one and its still low but I usually get about 4 days of ewcm before a peak so I'm not surprised by that.

I feel like I want to give it a go this time and just see what happens! Although I think if we did fall this cycle I'd be absolutely terrified...

It's so hard.

Summersun001 · 19/02/2021 16:54

@Scottishskifun I am so, so sorry. Whilst we all have had our tough moments, I can honestly say that I can’t imagine how that has made you feel. Each of our experiences are different and it’s so upsetting to hear what you’ve been through today. I love being by the sea, I always get a sense of calm, and so I think that’s a beautiful idea.

I guess all I can say is that I hope the day eases for you, tomorrow is a new day and hopefully you will feel even a smidgen better. But we’re all here for you ❤️ Gin in hand! Sometimes I think there’s nothing anyone can say to make a person feel better, but just to acknowledge that you’re having a truly shit day!! Sending you heaps of love xxxxx

AMS19 · 19/02/2021 17:49

Thinking of you @Scottishskifun sending lots of virtual love xx

Jtb10 · 19/02/2021 18:09

@dippyegg32 @Ralala thank you both, will definitely give epu a call and also see if I can get some bloods.
It’s reassuring just to be able to use this forum to air how I’m feeling and feel supported

SuzieDeLaTour · 19/02/2021 18:30

@Lalalaleigh aww I’m glad your work is being so good about everything. It’s nice to know you don’t feel under any pressure and I think a phased return sounds like a great idea - let’s you dip your toes in the water to see how you feel. Hope you have a lovely relaxing weekend planned x
@Neady1980 sorry to hear you’re suffering with your period - not what you need after what you’ve been through 😏but like you said, it must be nice to have a proper “clear out” and start on a fresh cycle.
@Scottishskifun gosh what a tough day for you. I’m sorry you’re feeling so sad, it must be such a real reminder of everything you’ve been through. I think scattering the ashes overlooking the sea sounds beautiful and we are all here to hand hold x
@dippyegg32 Christ! Don’t envy you one little bit, I hope it’s not dragging on and you’re feeling ok about it all love.
@Jtb10 I’m 5 weeks tomorrow and no sign of AF as yet. Really hoping it comes soon!! I’m seeing my consultant at 6 weeks and if it hasn’t come by then I’ll be raising it. Definitely call your EPU - I think they’ll offer you a scan for peace of mind x

Scottishskifun · 19/02/2021 18:32

Thanks ladies I'm back in Fluffy pj's and having a glass of wine.

@Summersun001 yes the sea brings me a feeling of calm too just watching it, I love living by the sea even if its freezing mostly! The spot is on a cliff top which also gets daffodils so thought it was tranquil and calming.

This board has helped me along so much I think I would still be curled up in a ball without it! ❤️

AMS19 · 19/02/2021 18:33

Happy Friday ladies. Another week in the bag. Everyone is doing amazing xx

TheDaydreamBelievers · 19/02/2021 18:36

@Scottishskifun that sounds like such a hard day. I hope you and your partner are taking good care if each other ❤

I've had a super low week overall. I'm hoping that I feel more emotional because my period is coming but it might also just be because this has been a hard time

DMT1982 · 19/02/2021 19:36

@Scottishskifun sending you a massive hug on such an emotional day. Xxx
