@Brightspark12 I was given the D&C option not the MVA (I'm not sure if there's a difference?) but I found it to be ok x

Jujujuberry · 06/03/2021 10:01

@Tamalama so sorry you lost your twins recently, you’ve come to the right place for support, I have found so much comfort on here. Like you I am annoyed, it feels like your right back to square one - was at my sis in laws engagement party tonight and one of the guys there was talking about his pregnant wife urgh I couldn’t even look at him.

@jlj19 your experience sounds very similar to mine. I’ve sadly had two natural MC now, one in April 2020 and one in Feb 2021, both started with brown discharge. My first MC I had heavy cramping so bad that I had to go to hospital and have an internal where the lovely doctor helped remove the sac as it was already on its way out, then I bleed for a week after. My latest MC started with brown discharge, so we went for a scan where we saw the heartbeat measuring 7+4 weeks, but sadly the next day bleeding got red with clots, and then when I went to the loo later that day I felt the sac coming so I caught it on tissue paper, I had very minimal cramps and only bleed like a normal period after that. My husband and I buried it in a little box in the garden which was nice 😊 sending you love, you’ve come to the right place xx

@Brightspark12 so sorry you’ve had to join us here, but we are all in this together & you’ll find soo much support here all the ladies are great x It makes it so hard when you see the heartbeat, and then think how can my baby just be gone after seeing it? Sending you lots of love xx

birdbybird · 06/03/2021 10:04

Hi @Brightspark12 we were on the same pregnancy thread discussing (worrying about) the little ones measuring behind on scans. I was wondering what happened with you and hoping that it wasn’t the case. I’m sorry you’re on here too now. In my case the physical trauma was 1% and 99% was/is the emotional trauma.

Tamalama · 06/03/2021 10:05

Oh, and thank you to everyone for their kind words. It's absolutely awful, especially to have been carrying around two babies that had stopped growing 3 weeks prior to my scan, and still continuing to have strong pregnancy symptoms, including a growing tummy and zero bleeding. I was wandering around and talking about the babies completely oblivious as to what was going on inside.
I try and take comfort in the fact that because they'd both stopped growing at the same time that there must have been something genetically wrong. It's a small comfort though...
I'm hoping that the hormones leave my system soon and that I can get my first period out of the way so we can try again.
My heart goes out to everyone who is going through a MC and MMC.

Tamalama · 06/03/2021 10:08

@Jujujuberry it's awful isn't it. 5 days before my scan we found out that my DH's cousin is pregnant and her due date is 3 days before mine would have been, so August is going to be even more horrendous now.
She put on Facebook the other day that she'd sell a kidney to have a cigarette right now, and it annoyed me, I just wanted to scream that I'd sell a kidney to have my dead babies back 😔

Neady1980 · 06/03/2021 10:22

@Mellous, I think that's a good idea about a new group. Think it would be easier on the people who are going through MC at the moment

Tamalama · 06/03/2021 10:27

@Mellous I think it's a good idea too and hopefully a group I can take part in lots in a couple of weeks time or so🤞🙏

Brightspark12 · 06/03/2021 10:29

@birdbybird Hiya love ❤️ I remember you... It’s sad but also comforting to know that others are going through the same as you. People kept telling me to stop being so negative and thinking the worst but I think you just know deep down? I had constant bleeding on and off and if I’m honest the past 2 months have been the most stressful of my life. How are you now? Xx

Brightspark12 · 06/03/2021 10:29

@Mellous I would love to join that when I can get back to TTC ❤️

AMS19 · 06/03/2021 10:57

@Mellous yeah I think that makes sense. Although doesn't need to be TTC as such I guess, just anyone where the focus in good cycles post mmc. But I'd happily join! I've been setting these threads up since December now so although I'll clearly still stay involved, makes sense to have a different place for those of us who are further along in their journies x

@Mellous I would like to join it you do make one, not there yet as I'm waiting for period first but I'm interested to learn how it goes for others before I start again.

@HotCupOfNo thank you ❤️ strangely that negative test has made me feel much better, like it's given me closure, although a bit sad at the same time.

@Tamalama the best thing I've done for my mental health since my MC is avoid social media, I haven't looked at Facebook or Instagram and honestly I think it's been the best decision. There are enough emotional triggers as it is!

Sending hugs to everyone currently going through the MCs - hang in there!
And also a massive thanks again to all the ladies here who have been through it, you've been the biggest support for me. Hope everyone enjoys the weekend Flowers

jlj19 · 06/03/2021 11:31

@Brightspark12 it is such a strange feeling. The last couple of weeks I just knew something was wrong. I can’t explain it but as I have had 2 successful pregnancies this one just didn’t feel right. I am very sorry you are dealing with this too.

@Jujujuberry I am so sorry that you have been through this twice now. Thank you for sharing your experiences with me... it really has helped. That sounds like such a lovely idea to have a special place for them in your garden. I wish I had done something like that but it happened so fast I just held it for a moment and then flushed away. I could hear my kids playing right outside the bathroom door and I think I panicked a bit that they might come in and see something Sad

Brightspark12 · 06/03/2021 12:22

Guys what did you do when you were bleeding? Seems to be coming on fast now. Should I just sit on the toilet? X

PlantMummy87 · 06/03/2021 12:32

@Mellous I think that would be a nice idea, I would like to join if a group is set up 😊 x

TheHotelCalifornia · 06/03/2021 12:38

@Brightspark12 so sorry lovely I haven’t been through this so can’t help but I’m sure one of the other ladies will be along soon to offer advice. Really hope you’re okay and aren’t on your own xxx

@Mellous I would really love a new thread actually, think it makes sense and I’d love to keep in contact with you all as we start the next chapter xxxx

Scottishskifun · 06/03/2021 12:46

@brightspark12 I used a maternity pad as more absorbant if you find that you are having to change them frequently because they are full then you should call the EPU and explain they will probably want to see you just to make sure there aren't any issues. Its more than 2 pads in an hour.

MeganChar1 · 06/03/2021 12:47

@Mellous I think there have been some ttc after miscarriage threads on the conception board but not sure if there’s any current ones.

I feel like I fit somewhere in the middle as not currently ttc but know that I want to again in late summer, but I’m wanting to do things now like blood tests/supplements etc to rule out any issues to prepare to ttc. Basically want to improve my knowledge as much as possible on mc risks to reduce risk in the future! Anyone in a similar boat? Also can anyone recommend any particular bloods on medichecks etc which might be worth having? I’ve already got a diagnosed thyroid issue which I’m on top of managing. Also I have no clue on tracking ovulation which I’m planning to do next time so not looking forward to that haha x

Tamalama · 06/03/2021 13:08

@Brightspark12 I had a MC 2 years ago where I miscarried naturally and had bleeding. As advised, I'd wear a large absorbent pad and make sure that you don't need to change it twice in an hour. If that happens then I'd definitely call 111/EPU.
I'm sorry you're going through this, it's awful x

AlbiMix · 06/03/2021 13:08

@MeganChar1 I'm in a similar boat, currently waiting for period post MC but also considering waiting longer until I've had my second COVID vaccine dose which is mid May even though I'm not sure I want to wait that long...also have the thyroid issues and getting blood tests etc so I can try to avoid future risks...

Tamalama · 06/03/2021 13:09

@Brightspark12 sorry, only call 111/EPU if you need to change it more than twice in an hour.

birdbybird · 06/03/2021 13:11

Hi @Mellous I just miscarried earlier in the week, and personally don’t have a problem if you want to post here about ttc. I’m going to see a gynaecologist.

@Brightspark12 I feel like I’ve been checking my underwear for the past 2.5 months, as I had a chemical followed by this miscarriage.
My heavy bleeding day was last Monday and feel I’m already half way there in terms of emotional recovery. Although this stays with you forever I think.

birdbybird · 06/03/2021 13:12

@Mellous didn’t finish my train of thought... I’m going to go see a gynaecologist this coming week about how I’ll continue my ttc journey.

Pettylamby · 06/03/2021 13:26

@mellous defo up for a ttc thread - I'm at testing stage but doesn't feel right posting in here when it's so raw for some of the new ladies!

LauraT94 · 06/03/2021 13:30

@Mellous I would be interested too ❤️

Neady1980 · 06/03/2021 13:33

@Pettylamby I'm at testing stage next week aswell and I'm the same as you, wouldn't feel right posting here as I remember how I felt when I miscarried 🙁🙁
