@Ralala that all sounds very positive!! I feel a million times for positive now I've had a really heavy period and can build a fresh new lining. I feel like it shows our bodies are finally back to normal. Hopefully the blood tests tomorrow will confirm that

Oh gosh @AMS19 "last shot of a 2021 baby" - that's so blooming depressing. Never thought I'd end up not being a mum till at least 32!

My cycle is still a total mess. Day 35 and no sign of fucking anything. Bad cramps last 3 days so at least hoped AF was on the way but no. I hate that I have long cycles. Feels like I get basically no chances to conceive. And I haven't even gotten an ovulation identified for this cycle either.

My mood is officially up and down like a yoyo. Still having a lot of random tearful flat days. Lets estimate at 50/50 good to bad!

PlantMummy87 · 25/02/2021 11:56

I've absolutely been having a super heavy period this cycle like you ladies too. Not going to lie it's been pretty awful with cramps and feeling rough but am feeling a bit better today, and am feeling positive like you ladies that at least it is a proper clear out. Fingers crossed will mean that things are returning to normal and we will build up a great lining this month 🤞

Mellous · 25/02/2021 12:36

My first period was really heavy but no clots. it was also super painful for the first couple of days, needed a hot water bottle. It lasted 7 days too!

CD13 for me today. Cycle usually around 32 days. Hoping ovulation will be early next week!

AMS19 · 25/02/2021 12:44

@TheDaydreamBelievers I had already accepted a 2021 baby was virtually impossible. I just really want to be pregnant by my original due date. I'm so sorry your cycle has been an arse!! Any signs of ovulation at all? Your second cycle was the one you conceived right? When did you ovulate for that one?

@Pettylamby all sounds super positive!!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 25/02/2021 14:41

@ams19 CD 33 for that one where I conceived. I think just since this is 11mo off the pill I'd hoped my cycles would have normalised by now. But no. Now I'm worried about PCOS or my weight or something else throwing it off!

AMS19 · 25/02/2021 14:56

Gosh that is bloody frustrating @TheDaydreamBelievers are there any tests GP might help with (using the post mmc body hasn't gone back to normal reason?) A scan to check follicles would be handy but might be pushing it...

OP posts:
TheDaydreamBelievers · 25/02/2021 15:04

@AMS19 I think the GP will say the previous irregularities were the pill, and these ones are the miscarriage. If the next cycle is off too, I will go back and ask again.

dippyegg32 · 25/02/2021 15:54

I know this isn't positive but it's getting close. I'm only day 7 though. Wtf?!

Pettylamby · 25/02/2021 17:01

@dippyegg32 it's getting there! Since it's early it might be a wee false start and then you'll actually ovulate around the middle of the cycle!? Are you doing a few throughout the day?

I'm slightly embarrassed at how many I've done today but I'm just really intrigued to see how the levels go over the course of the day! Looks like I've had my peak anyway! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

@TheDaydreamBelievers that must be so frustrating! Hopefully it isn't far away, have you had any ewcm or any other signs?

AMS19 · 25/02/2021 17:27

Wow @Pettylamby that is an awesome peak!! So so excited for you!!!

Pettylamby · 25/02/2021 19:22

Thanks @AMS19... Fingers crossed but I really have no expectations this cycle! Just happy to be getting back into ttc and for the first time in a long time not being stuck in limbo!

SuzieDeLaTour · 25/02/2021 19:47

@Ralala oh I love your doctor who told you that! 😂 It’s nice to know I’m not alone with the monster period. Mine is definitely easing off today (day 6) so hoping a nice juicy egg pops along in 10 days or so 🤞
@TheDaydreamBelievers aww love I’m sorry to hear you’re feeling up and down. The whole thing really is crap, there’s no other way to put it. Tummy cramps might be a sign something is on it’s way? I had sore boobs for a good week in the run up to AF - seemed to last forever!
@Pettylamby wow no mistaking that peak!! How exciting - fingers crossed! X

KJLM · 25/02/2021 20:32

Evening ladies, I’ve just been catching up on your messages and the monster period chat has been giving me a giggle. I hope it’s a sign of a good cycle on the way for you all!
I’m at the stage where I hoped we would conceive this cycle (it’s only been 23 days since MVA) but also hoping if it’s not to be this cycle that period would arrive soon and I can have a monster period- who knew period fomo was a thing?. Tonight I’ve started spotting and I’m feeling quite crampy so I’m assuming period is coming.
Quite annoyed as I’ve got a checkup tomorrow morning with consultant so it’s just like the thing!!!
It does however mean that like those of you starting this new cycle I can fully embrace ttc and making my body the best environment for a baby. Bring on acupuncture, seed cycling, vitamins, grapefruit juice and every other trick in the book! God help my husband he has no clue what he’s in for in two weeks 🙈

Scottishskifun · 25/02/2021 20:39

Sounds like really positive progress for so many of ladies so glad to see positive news!

I've had a tough week so far, counselling session this week was tough.

We also scattered our babies ashes this morning which was really really hard. We didn't really say anything but found a quiet spot which overlooked a bay to the sea with daffodils starting to push through by gorse bushes which smell of coconut when they go into spring flower.

Mostly I'm just tired (sleep still rubbish) very emotionally drained and trying not to put pressure on myself as recommended by the counselling!

Jam291 · 25/02/2021 22:39

Hi all.

You know the FRER, are they on Amazon? I don’t want to buy a fake or anything? X

TheDaydreamBelievers · 25/02/2021 23:11

@jam291 yeah, First Response sell through amazon Smile

Jujujuberry · 26/02/2021 03:22

Hi ladies,

I’m sure I read it on here somewhere, but has anyone booked in for a private consultation with an Obstetrician or Gynaecologist following their MC to run basic tests? And if so what was it like? I’m tempted to book something.

Thanks xxx

Babyghirl · 26/02/2021 06:48

Hope you ladies don't mind me just on your journey train,
My story is I have had 4 miscarriages 5 if you include a cp but my doc said they don't count cp happened in March 2018, first miscarriage happened in November 2018 I should of been 10.5 weeks, second in Oct 2019 should of been 6 weeks, 3rd was in Oct 2020 should of been 10 weeks and most reason one was 4 weeks ago with first 3 pregnancy's I fell in September so falling so quick the 4th time was a shock I changed from folic acid to pure folate in August fertility specialist I was following on fb said it was better for ttc. Now just waiting on an app with a fertility clinic, sorry for all your losses and hope we all get r rainbow babies soon 💚🍀

AlbiMix · 26/02/2021 08:16

@Scottishskifun so sorry to hear you're having a tough week. Hopefully scattering the ashes will have given you some closure? Sounds like a really beautiful spot. Hope you can relax over the weekend.

@Jujujuberry yes it was @MeganChar1 who has booked a private gynaecologist appointment through Spire, I was interrogating about it as I'm thinking of doing the same, haven't done anything yet as I'm moving areas atm.

@Babyghirl so sorry to hear about your MCs that sounds really tough. I hope the app comes through soon and you can get some answers.

It's now two weeks since I had a scan confirming my miscarriage had completed, I'm feeling in limbo not knowing what my body will do now. In an effort to take some kind of control I've bought a BBT thermometer and started tracking my temp today, but honestly have no idea if I'm doing it right?! It's not as simple as I thought, feeling a bit dim Confused

AlbiMix · 26/02/2021 08:17

Sorry meant just one week since that scan, 2 weeks since I found out the MC had started...

MeganChar1 · 26/02/2021 08:27

@Jujujuberry I’ve booked a private gynaecologist for my appointment on Monday, I’ve no idea what to expect in terms of tests and things. Hopefully the same blood tests they would offer for recurrent mc on the nhs. I’ve only had one but I don’t want it to become recurrent. Or a scan just to check that everything is ok structurally x

Jam291 · 26/02/2021 08:30

@Babyghirl oh . :( so sorry to hear you’ve been through so much. I hope you get some support through the fertility clinic. 🤍

@AlbiMix 🤍 I had a same ish experience, bleeding, scan , more bleeding another scan which showed MC ‘complete’. 🤍 I don’t know about tracking temp but I think a lot of ladies on here know about it.

Well, on the 26th of Jan I had a scan which confirmed my MC and now on the 26th of Feb AF has showed up! I feel a mix of emotions ... I feel sad as the bleeding instantly reminded me of the MC and that I was hoping we would catch this month... but I also feel relieved and that it’s a fresh cycle to try as such...
what apps are best to use for tracking? I’m not sure if I’ll do the temps though. I think I used OVIA or something in the past but wondering if there was anything new / better out? Xx

AlbiMix · 26/02/2021 08:39

@Jam291 that's reassuring that you got AF a month after the MC, to me that sounds really positive, even if you didn't get pregnant this month it's brilliant that your cycle is back on track. I hope the same happens for me...

I tracked my period before I got pregnant using Clue, I used that for 2 years not for TTC but because I had a bout of irregular periods and wanted to track it after that. I wasn't hardcore TTC when I got pregnant, we just stopped using contraceptive to "see what happened" but we didn't change any habits other than that. During that time I was still using the Clue app and it told me when my "fertile window" was, not sure how accurate it is but I did get pregnant DTD when it estimated I was ovulating. I've read on here that people use Fertility Friend, maybe that app is better, I'm sure others will know more.

Jujujuberry · 26/02/2021 10:21

@MeganChar1 That sounds good, I would love to hear how you get on if you don't mind sharing x I think I’ll book in as well, my emotions are just horrendous lately and I just want to feel like I’m doing all I can.

@AlbiMix I’m around 2 weeks post MC as well, and just started temping again, I just want to make sure things are going back to normal while I wait for my first period - which I would expect in a couple of weeks as I had a bit of EWCM today.. was so tempted to dtd but my gut is telling us to wait until I get a period. Just make sure your taking your temp first thing when you wake, before anything and roughly the same time every morning, im not tracking it on any app tho, just old school write it down then join the dots when I have a few readings 😊
