Morning ladies ❤
@dippyegg32 I've been offered vaccine as I work for NHS and I spoke to someone in our vaccine hub about my miscarriage and trying to conceive as I really wasn't sure what to do. They're recommending that I don't try and conceive until two months after the second vaccine which would take me into July time. I'm nearly 37 so I've decided to continue to TTC and see if the advice changes. There's info on tommys website though that says you don't need to avoid vaccine if you're trying to become pregnant though...I'm currently 6DPO so I might book one if I don't get a BFP this cycle.

Good morning ladies. Just catching up. You are a chatty lot! I find this thread so comforting. While we post a lot of sad and heart breaking posts we also post a lot of empowering and supporting information too. So thank you all. Xxx

Ralala · 21/02/2021 10:00

In other news, no AF (almost 5 weeks) and I have been feeling progressively worse with feeling sick, headaches and generally feeling bleugh. I have been so worried it all in my head and maybe some anxiety response as to why I’m feeling like this and have no period yet.... anyway I decided to do a one step internet cheapie test and the last two
Mornings I have had squinters of a second line. They were previously negative. I have no idea if I have ovulated or when I did and to be honest I didn’t really trust these tests. I have read they are really bad for evaps and today’s was lighter than yesterday. I have a telephone appt with GP tomorrow and my plan is to seek referral back to epu to find out what is going on!

dippyegg32 · 21/02/2021 10:02

That's interesting @Seasalt1984 thank you. I'm so undecided about whether to ttc again or not. Being offered the vaccine would make the decision for me I think. But until the time that I am I just don't know what to do. I'm on my second period now but still waiting for my blood HCG to drop anyway so for now it's all a non-starter.

Pettylamby · 21/02/2021 10:22

Ahhhh ladies I just wrote a big update post and then managed to delete it!

So here we go again...

A few days ago I posted that I had some spotting and I was hoping for AF... Well that spotting turned into wet CM and EWCM..

This prompted me to go back through my apps and look at all the dates...

I got a positive opk about 25 days after my MVA (I usually ovulate late anyway) and then 12 days after that (my luteal phase length) I had really intense period cramps for 4 days but without any bleeding! It's like my body tried to have a period but there was nothing to shed?

So fast forward to now and here I am cd19 (if I could that cramps as a period) and my body is gearing up to ovulate again..

Had a chat with OH... And we've (well I have) decided that we should try again now! I was orriginally dead set id wait for a proper AF but I just can't let this egg go by and not give it a go? I think a lot of ladies will understand this!

So here I am back on the opks, tracking my CM and we dtd yesterday and hoping to try every other day until I see a peak! I don't hold out much hope for this cycle but I'm SO happy to have identified a bit of a pattern again and to be doing something proactive about it!

What do guys think? I've read people can have a barely there AF after a mc so not entirely impossible for me to have no bleeding?

Or am I just wishful thinking?

Sorry for the ramble this page helps me to much to read and occasionally have a bit of a vent to people who understand! 😘

dippyegg32 · 21/02/2021 10:39

@Pettylamby my first post-mmc period was utterly pathetic. It was SO painful for first 48 hours but merely spotting on/off for a week so I think it's definitely plausible! Good luck!

AMS19 · 21/02/2021 11:38

Oh @Ralala I have everything crossed for you!!! Keep us updated

@Pettylamby I think that definitely sounds plausible, mine period was so light I didn't even use a pad once! And lasted less than 48hours. My view is go for it, but obviously everyone is different. My husband was asking last night what more we can do to help it happen next cycle. Technically this is my 3rd cycle but I'm only 7 weeks post mva, so they've all been very random! It was exactly 2 months today since I found out about my mmc, what a long drawn out journey! Hurry up rainbow baby

OP posts:
Pettylamby · 21/02/2021 11:53

Thanks @dippyegg32 - my pains were so much sorer than usual and I had all the period symptoms just no bleeding!

@AMS19 I'm definately in the just go for it camp now! In my head I've had a 'period' and if we did fall I have been tracking ovulation so dating wouldn't be an issue! I do really doubt it'll happen this cycle but I'm just glad to get a bit of closure from miscarriage and feeling less like I'm stuck in limbo!

I'm 8 weeks post MVA on Wednesday and this will be my second ovulation so we'll see! Fingers crossed for us all - after all we've been through we deserve our beautiful rainbow babies!

Ps. Can't remember who recommended the worst girl gang podcasts - have listened to a few now and they are great! The hosts are brilliant and it's really informative but also very real and raw!

Mellous · 21/02/2021 12:00

@AMS19 sorry your period has arrived early...hope it’s a bit heavier for you this time (sorry!) so you can have a good clear out.

Sorry just having a catch up, couldn’t get on here yesterday!

Reading through your stories of finding out at the ultrasound scans... mine was a private one with a MASSIVE projected screen in front of me. I could see straight away it wasn’t right but the lady was silent for ages. She didn’t really handle it too well tbh which made the experience worse. The sonographers, doctors and nurses at the NHS however were absolute angels and so kind!

@Pettylamby oh that’s exciting! Fingers crossed for you on this cycle :) xx

@Ralala this is what happened to me! I’d called the EPU and they told me to take another test in a week. I also booked a GP appointment but my period arrived 2 days later so I have no idea what was going on. Hope you can get some answers xx

Scottishskifun · 21/02/2021 12:09

@dippyegg32 we won't put off TTC after smear test complete for the vaccination as my area of Scotland is pretty far behind and despite govt saying everyone in the UK will be offered the vaccine by end of July my 70 year old plus neighbours still haven't received them so I'm not holding out much hope in our area!
The advice has also been changing quickly as further data comes in so you might find by the time July has come around the advice will have changed again as there is more data especially as in the US there was never the advice not to give to pregnant women but that it was personal choice.

Neady1980 · 21/02/2021 12:13

Morning ladies 6 days since AF showed her face and I'm just finished, today is the first day that headache and pain is gone and have finally got out of bed. It was a good clear out and I'm delighted and think I definitely needed the rest if I'm honest.

I really hope what they say is true about being more fertile after MC as I'm 100% ready to try again now, although it was only 4 weeks ago it feels like it happened years ago.
Hope u ladies are doing well and fingers crossed for you all to get your little rainbow baby sooner rather than later xx

Ralala · 21/02/2021 12:51

Thanks ladies .

@AMS19 will keep you updated

Yes @Mellous I remember this happened to you. @dippyegg32 I think this happened to you also?

I’m only using these cheap ones. I don’t want to get a frer as they are so sensitive and while negative before I wonder if my hcg levels are just surging because my hormones are off.

I feel like this is the other side to Miscarriage that people don’t seem to talk about .

dippyegg32 · 21/02/2021 13:12

I think I'm a real anomaly @Ralala as I'm still testing positive despite an ERCP, medical management and now two periods Hmm The only way you'll really know is to have a beta HCG blood test in afraid but I'm crossing everything for you!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 21/02/2021 14:08

@Pettylamby my first period after MC surgery was also pathetic!

I'm now CD30 with no detected ovulation so fuck knows what's going on with me. I'm really sick of these long cycles and trash / meaningless temps

KJLM · 21/02/2021 14:46

Hi ladies hope you’re all having a lovely Sunday.

I did a pregnancy test again today and the ever so slightest line is there. Can I ask when did you all start back on ovulation tests? When the line had completely disappeared? I still swear I had ewcm 9 days after MVA but surely that was too soon for ovulation??

@Pettylamby glad you’re enjoying their pod casts they are very helpful. They did a “live” on Instagram on ttc after miscarriage on Wednesday which I’m going to watch tonight and it’s on their Instagram main page - sorry I’m so useless with social media I’m not always sure of the lingo!!

Ralala · 21/02/2021 15:26

Thanks @dippyegg32

I will look to get some hcg bloods done again. This is so frustrating!

Pettylamby · 21/02/2021 15:51

Thanks ladies!

@TheDaydreamBelievers long cycles must be so frustrating! I usually ovulate day 25 or so which feels like a lifetime so I can feel your pain having to wait even longer! Hopefully it will be soon tho! 🤞🏻

@KJLM they are really good! The girls are so funny, feels like they could have come from a forum like this, it's very refreshing and not too airy fairy either! I like a bit of swearing and real talk!

AMS19 · 21/02/2021 18:16

@TheDaydreamBelievers grrr! It's all so frustrating isn't it! Have you tested?

OP posts:
AMS19 · 21/02/2021 18:17

@KJLM yeah my OPKs had a line until after my first "period" and then it pretty much disappeared! That was about 5 weeks after MVA that the line was blank on an OPK

OP posts:
TheDaydreamBelievers · 21/02/2021 19:20

@AMS19 yeah I have the last 2 days but nothing to report. My HR has gone up though but not sure if I'm just unfit... Hmm

AMS19 · 21/02/2021 19:24

@TheDaydreamBelievers our bodies are playing games with us. My period is already stopping 😭😭😭😭 I have an open referral still with EPU as my blood test wasn't negative so I might give them a ring and get a scan to see what's going on. My lining must be ridiculous now given I've basically had 3 days in total of spotting since 1 Jan!

OP posts:
SuzieDeLaTour · 21/02/2021 19:55

@AMS19 ahh no, that’s such a shame you didn’t get the period you were hoping for. That’s good you’ve got an open referral to your EPU - hopefully that can give you peace of mind. My period is still quite light too, I thought it would go full flow today but hasn’t at all.
@Ralala you’re so right, no one ever talks about this part of a miscarriage!! I’m sorry to hear it’s become so confusing, hopefully your GP can help tomorrow. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you though that it’s good news!
@Pettylamby that’s exciting you’re back in the waiting game! I’m back on my first period now and it’s much lighter than my normal period. I’ve bled over 36 hours what I would normally have done in about 2 hours!! I’m seeing my consultant next weekend so I’ll be asking all about it...bet he can’t wait for the onslaught ha! X

AMS19 · 21/02/2021 20:05

Honestly @SuzieDeLaTour massive let down. I really hope it picks up tomorrow bur not holding out much hope. I just keep thinking, surely all this lining has to come out at some point?! 🙄 I'll be so interested in what your consultant has to say about it, as I'm not expecting much insight from EPU! X

AlbiMix · 21/02/2021 20:23

Hi everyone, this is my first time posting on MN, not sure if I should be adding to this thread but also felt like I didn't really have anything much to say to start a new one. I've just had an early miscarriage (should've been 8 weeks but measured 6 at a scan and bleeding had already started so I knew).

I found it physically tough, mainly the uncertainty and fear that something would go really wrong. It was hard but not horrific. Emotionally I was feeling ok initially, my OH and I were both quite surprised when I got pregnant as it was early days and we weren't trying super hard. I have health issues so just wanted to "see what happened" in case we ended up having trouble conceiving.

Anyway this morning my OH decided to tell me his close friend has just announced his wife is pregnant with twins and wanted a Skype call with my OH and their other friend whose wife has recently given birth. Despite thinking I felt ok about the MC, this really floored me and I've been really sad all day. I'm upset with my OH for even telling me this news two days after my miscarriage...I feel like he could've waited until some more time had passed? Maybe I'm taking out my sadness on him, but I guess I'm just feeling really alone and up and down, and I just wanted to share it with people who might understand.

I always get jealous of other women who are healthy and well because I've had so many health problems, I guess when I got pregnant I felt finally my body was doing something right, and now I've miscarried I again feel like I won't get to have this either.

Anyway just looking for some support or advice from anyone who can relate. Thanks :)

dippyegg32 · 21/02/2021 20:25

My period has also been really weird. Most of Friday I was changing green tampax every 2-3 hours, it was like I had my normal four day period within 12 hours! CD3 now and it's slowly on its way out. So I've had period 1 pathetically light and period 2 heavy so I'm hoping period 3 gives me some sort of normal back.
@AMS19 that's really annoying hun I'm sorry. I do wonder if it could be implantation as the timing is right? 🤞 🤞

I've got my blood test tomorrow and feel physically sick about the result because if it's still over 5 it means surgery on Tuesday Sad. I've resigned myself to the fact it will be but can't bring myself to pack a bag for the hospital. I'm terrified of it. I've barely slept since Thursday worrying about it and today has just been spent eating Oreos and haribos to be honest.
