This thread has been running for many years and has proved invaluable for so many of us who have suffered recurrent miscarriages as we go through this incredibly tough journey.

Discussions cover immune issues, NK (natural killer) cells, thyroid issues, PGS and many many more.

@Everhopeful35 I am so sorry. It's beyond unfair, sending you so much love.

@Daffodil21 thinking of you too, I have everything crossed.

Xx

@Everhopeful35 I'm so sorry 💔 @Daffodil21 thinking of you too, there is still hope.

Tinpo · 22/12/2020 21:15

@Everhopeful35 I’m so sorry. My heart is breaking for you ❤️

@Daffodil21 I’m so sorry you’re having a scare too, and I hope it turns out ok.

NICK7nick7 · 23/12/2020 10:16

@Everhopeful35 and @Daffodil21 hope you’re doing OK. Been thinking of you both.

I had my scan at early pregnancy unit today. No answer either way. They saw 3 sacs but aren’t sure if gestational sac/sacs or cysts as nothing in them at the moment which really there should be at this time (I’m 5 weeks 3 days) so not feeling very positive. Having a blood test today to check hormone levels and then need to repeat on Christmas Day. Whether that is going up or not will give us an answer. Xx

Rebecca9876 · 23/12/2020 10:50

@NICK7nick7 I had a scan at 5wks4days and they could only see sacs then - it’s still very early. At that stage it will only take a few days to see a lot more. I think it’s why Dr S scans from 6 weeks and not before for example? Also, potentially three sacs... oh my!! Have everything crossed it’s ok for you x

NICK7nick7 · 23/12/2020 10:55

@Rebecca9876 thank you, that is reassuring! I was surprised that they offered a scan as I just wanted the blood test. I really hope it is OK, especially as it’s Christmas Day! Surprised by the 3 sacs but they did say it could be cysts instead did actual sacs? Xx

LookingforAnswers86 · 23/12/2020 10:59

@NICK7nick7 I agree, it's very early to see anything at such an early stage. Hopefully the blood results will reassure you ( versus what clearblue was saying)...x

@Rebecca9876 do you have a scan this week? Good luck if so 😘

Rebecca9876 · 23/12/2020 11:12

@LookingforAnswers86 thanks, yes I had it this morning (now sitting on an intralipids drip). Everything looks good and we’re now pretty certain we’re having a girl! :) I’m still terrified of losing the baby - esp as I still have daily bleeding - but just hoping this far along it will be ok.

I feel bad as I know not everyone has good news right now but hopefully this also gives some hope to others as well xx

NICK7nick7 · 23/12/2020 11:17

@Rebecca9876 that’s great news, so happy for you. Don’t feel bad, we all wish each other the best as we know what it’s like and you give us all hope. Xx

LookingforAnswers86 · 23/12/2020 11:18

@Rebecca9876 that's great! Your good news is what gives us all hope :)

LaurenAB94 · 23/12/2020 12:47

@NICK7nick7 hopefully your sac with have a pole and yolk next time you have a scan it's still really early and some don't get to this stage until 6 weeks so your dates might just be a few days off. I've got everything crossed for you and I've heard lots of stories that have been similar and then it's been good news. I hope your bloods on xmas day bring you positive news.

@Rebecca9876 thank you for sharing your information with us, it has helped and even though many of us don't have our BFP or have had bad news it's still inspiring to know that it will happen and that bleeding doesn't always mean miscarriage. I completely understand you worrying I would worry if I was bleeding. It's nice to be reassured at each appointment and good that your baby girl is healthy 😊 have a lovely xmas Xx

VenusStarr · 23/12/2020 13:15

I'm sorry you're in limbo @NICK7nick7 but hope that your bloods will being reassurance. Do you have a scan booked with Dr S or is the Christmas closure affecting this? Kerlung everything crossed for you 🤞 💕

So pleased all is well with your baby (girl, eek! 💖) @Rebecca9876

Hope everyone is doing OK. On my final few hours at work then I'm going to try and switch off until the new year xx

NICK7nick7 · 23/12/2020 15:07

@VenusStarr I have a scan on 30th December with the female consultant (sorry, forgotten her name). I emailed the nurses this morning and they said to still go to the scan either way. My first HCG blood test today was 1343 so it needs to go up at least 50% on Christmas Day for it to be a viable pregnancy. My sacs were only measuring 3.5-3.8mm or something and I think they are meant to be much bigger by 5/5.5 weeks, can anyone remember what theirs were at this stage when they had a successful pregnancy?

Rebecca9876 · 23/12/2020 16:05

@NICK7nick7 honestly it’s so early at that stage mine weren’t even measured. It is also so easy to get it wrong by a mm or so at that stage that I really wouldn’t spend any time thinking about what Google etc says they “should” measure and just try to hope it’s ok and wait until you’re a bit further along to know for sure. Even hcg testing isn’t fail safe (Dr S doesn’t like it - I know because I went elsewhere for hcg tests early on myself and he said he didn’t want to know what the results were as they vary sooooo much between women he can’t take anything from them!). I know it’s so much easier said than done but there’s a reason scans are not normally conducted that early (it’s so small and your dates could also be out by a day or two). If the only reason you’re worried is the Clearblue result, and not also bleeding etc, just try to stick it out a tiny bit longer I would say. Is your 6 week scan soon? Xx

Rebecca9876 · 23/12/2020 16:06

@NICK7nick7 sorry I see you have a scan on 30th! That will be with Radhi - she’s nice, I saw her today. Good luck, I know it’s soooo hard not to worry (and I don’t practice what I preach AT ALL!!) but try if you can xx

KtAgs · 23/12/2020 16:57

Great news @Rebecca9876 on your little girl! Must be so stressful with the continued bleeding.

Sorry to hear you're in limbo @NICK7nick7. I've been there. Sounds like there's hope though so I will hold onto that.

Had a good anomaly scan today. Little man is measuring on for dates and all seemed well. Ended up in tears though because the sonographer wasn't exactly sympathetic to my worries. I wish all my scans were with the clinic!

Thinking of everyone on the forum at the moment who are trying, waiting or grieving or a bit of all three. X

Rebecca9876 · 23/12/2020 17:17

@KtAgs that’s great news!! I hear you - I wish we had the money to just go to the clinic for everything for the rest of the pregnancy/ have private care with Dr S for the duration. The NHS are good but I’ve yet to meet a sonographer or midwife who really understands what it is like coping in a pregnancy after so many miscarriages/ with issues on top. But you always have us for support or to let off steam x

VenusStarr · 23/12/2020 17:31

I'm glad you have a scan booked in @NICK7nick7 and hoping you get some positive news. It's awful to be in this limbo though and worrying. Like @Rebecca9876 says, try not to worry too much about your blood results, it is hard though. Lots of love.

@KtAgs so pleased you had a good scan today :)

@Everhopeful35 thinking of you 💜

NICK7nick7 · 23/12/2020 19:45

@KtAgs that’s great news, I’m so happy for you. Sorry to hear about the sonogram though.

I got a call for the nurses earlier and my scan has been changed to 31st instead of 30th, although Dr S is doing it himself now which is good.

Jellystar23 · 24/12/2020 10:18

@Rebecca9876 so glad your scan went well ❤️ Hope the bleeding settles soon so you can start to relax a bit

@NICK7nick7 so sorry you are in limbo and having to have blood tests over Christmas. I hope everything works out for you over the next few days!!

I wanted to also wish you all a Merry Christmas. It’s been a difficult year for most but I think extra tough for those having miscarriages and treatments/scans alone. Let’s hope for a better brighter 2021 with lots of rainbow babies ❤️🤞🏻🌈

Thank you all for the last few months. This thread has really helped me deal with my last loss so much better than the previous ones. Being able to talk to ladies who understand makes all the difference, plus having people to ask questions to when you don’t want to share your news with those closest to you through fear of upset. Xx

Lalaifa · 24/12/2020 16:02

@Everhopeful35 I am so sorry about your news. :((( its devastating.
Just wanted to jump and wish you all a happy Christmas. I hope that very soon our prayers will be answered and we are all going to have a baby.
I'm better now I've moved to Spain for good and I'm out of that relationship. I'll be back in the forum with a shiny new boyfriend soon. Haha. In the meantime just hold on tight. Merry Christmas everyone! Xx

NICK7nick7 · 25/12/2020 16:19

My Beta HCG needed to go up 60% and it went up 300%! I’m so relieved. One hurdle down and I can finally enjoy my Christmas Day. Next hurdle is 6.5 week scan on NYE 🤞🏻.

Hope you are all having a good Christmas xx

Rebecca9876 · 25/12/2020 17:08

@NICK7nick7 that’s such brilliant news! Maybe they were all sacs after all...?!!

Happy Christmas everyone x

LaurenAB94 · 25/12/2020 22:08

@NICK7nick7 congratulations that's one hurdle down and sounds positive that they were sacs. Only a week to go till your scan. Have a lovely xmas x

LookingforAnswers86 · 26/12/2020 13:33

@NICK7nick7 you smashed that 3 plus out of the water :):)
