Hi ladies! Our last thread was automatically closed (again) because we reached the 1,000 post limit (twice!). I was hoping we would be able to start a new thread called First Pregnancy Post-MMC, but unfortunately we are not all quite there yet (BUT some of us are!! congrats!!!). I know we will all be pregnant someday soon and that this will end up being a lucky thread! In the meantime, I hope you will all join me as we continue on this journey together. You have all been an invaluable source of inspiration, support, and kindness for me and I want to thank you for making me feel less alone in this. This thread and the ladies on it have been a source of inspiration for me, which is why I created this blog to help other women find information and support after miscarriage: mcandbeyond.weebly.com/

About me, for any newcomers: 31 years old, first pregnancy ended in an MMC in February at 12 weeks (baby passed at nine), D&C the next day, found out five weeks later that it was a partial molar pregnancy and had follow-up with CX hospital until mid-May. Second early MC in April (we weren't supposed to be getting pregnant because of the molar, but didn't know about it at the time). Now TTC again nearly four months after the first MMC and so so ready for a baby!

@Catconfusion I think it’s impossible not to worry when you’ve had a loss. I can’t imagine going into another scan and there being positive news which is sad!

@sadtoday21 I hardly get EWCM which is annoying! I’ll need to try EPO next cycle. I think AF must be due this week at some point. Hope you are keeping well! Any sickness yet?

sadtoday21 · 05/08/2019 19:13

@Kiki061190 thanks for asking after me! I’ve resigned myself to the fact that there will not be any morning sickness. I’m 8+2 today and it’s just not coming. So fearing the worst for the 8+6 scan this Friday. Not sure how to get through it. Hope you have a nice vacation! You deserve it xxx

Thanks @Kiki061190 it is really hard. I thought I was ok and then today it hit me. Xx

I'm not going to tell you to try not to worry @sadtoday21 Considering the state I got myself in today but I have a really good feeling for you this time. I know it's hard to believe all ok but hopefully this scan on Friday will help ease the anxiety. I guess that's all we can do, limp from scan to scan and hope for the best. I spoke to my sister today and she didn't feel any nausea or sickness with her two pregnancies. It was such a foreign concept to her. I guess she's never had a loss but also never had morning sickness. It's normal and natural to assume no symptoms are a bad sign but I really think that's not the case. So many ladies have told me they didn't feel sick once. My best friend redecorated her house during her pregnancy with no symptoms and plenty of energy.

I think my sister felt sorry for me when I turned up today with black eyes and clutching my stomach. It's like my body is allergic to the pregnancy hormones. I'm only 4 weeks! Anyway I got so wound up on the way home that stress was causing a mc DH bought me some FRERs and today I had a blazing positive. It's brighter than my first pregnancy test was on the same day the first time around. I'm feeling a lot better now I've seen a blazing FRER. The ics are progressing but not nearly as clear. Xx

Sorry for the quadruple posting. There’s something wrong with Mumsnet today! Xx

sadtoday21 · 05/08/2019 19:57

awww @Catconfusion its terrible isn't it? I feel for you too, the four weeks between us goes by really fast and its not easy at all! The anxiety just creeps up on you when you least expect it. You can be feeling fine and going about life, and then suddenly panicking. I don't have any answers on how to deal with it, but just trying to focus on other things as much as possible. I hope you are able to see something at the scan on Wednesday and get some positive news at least going forward - that will help for one day! Sorry you are feeling so sick - its hard for me to relate as I just want to be more sick - but I know you are right and its certainly not fun for you to be having the added stress of feeling poorly. Have you tried ginger and lemon tea? Its supposed to help. Thinking of you Xxx

You know what, I felt so good on Saturday. I just thought, I can do this. I'm so lucky to be pregnant and feeling anxious serves no purpose. Today I woke up with the feeling of dread. I don't really no why. I feel pregnant. I guess I've had some one sided pain but nothing sinister. I got so worked up in the car feeling like the bfp would just go away. That blazing positive has really helped though.

The sickness is just about under control. I'm fine if I make sure I eat little and often. I've not really found ginger a help personally. I definitely didn't feel like this so early last time. It was at the 6 week mark. Oh well I'll take it and I don't care how sick I feel as long as all is ok.

Thanks for your kind words. I hope your scan goes well too. I just want us all to get our babies and not go through any more trauma! Xxx

Kiki061190 · 05/08/2019 20:20

@Catconfusion so sorry you feel so sick already. Glad you got your strong positive tho! That must have eased you knowing it’s progressing. I’m so happy for you! You’ve been on quite the journey! Weren’t you and @sadtoday21 originally due in August? It’s so lovely to see some great news as this month begins. Fingers crossed I will be joining you both soon ♥️

sadtoday21 · 05/08/2019 20:31

@Kiki061190 I'm positive that you are going to be next! I just feel like your BFP is right around the corner too. You are right, @Catconfusion and I were both due in August before. Another hard milestone at the end of the month, coinciding with the 12 week scan. But I'm thankful to be pregnant before the due date, just anxious to get through it as best I can. Xxx

Thanks @sadtoday21 I really hope you are right! My original due date was December so I’m hoping to have some good news by then. I’m not quite sure when AF is due as last cycle was 4 days early but I’m sure it’s some time this week. I was a little lazy this month with TTC, think I just needed some time to relax without thinking about it if that makes sense?

sadtoday21 · 05/08/2019 22:11

@Kiki061190 it’s quite normal for cycles to be off be a few days for months after the mmc - so hard to tell whether you are late or not! I think your relaxed attitude to ttc is great! That’s the best way to do it :)
