Hi ladies! Our last thread was automatically closed (again) because we reached the 1,000 post limit (twice!). I was hoping we would be able to start a new thread called First Pregnancy Post-MMC, but unfortunately we are not all quite there yet (BUT some of us are!! congrats!!!). I know we will all be pregnant someday soon and that this will end up being a lucky thread! In the meantime, I hope you will all join me as we continue on this journey together. You have all been an invaluable source of inspiration, support, and kindness for me and I want to thank you for making me feel less alone in this. This thread and the ladies on it have been a source of inspiration for me, which is why I created this blog to help other women find information and support after miscarriage: mcandbeyond.weebly.com/

About me, for any newcomers: 31 years old, first pregnancy ended in an MMC in February at 12 weeks (baby passed at nine), D&C the next day, found out five weeks later that it was a partial molar pregnancy and had follow-up with CX hospital until mid-May. Second early MC in April (we weren't supposed to be getting pregnant because of the molar, but didn't know about it at the time). Now TTC again nearly four months after the first MMC and so so ready for a baby!

@MrsMGE I can totally feel ovulation! Crampy and you can kind of feel it down there. Sometimes on one side! I’ve always been hungrier and moodier during O as well. I remember thinking maybe a week or just over a week ago that I felt that usual pain and cramps so sure I must have O’d then. My AF usually turns up about 13 days after but last cycle it was only 9 days after which was so odd!

MrsMGE · 03/08/2019 18:07

@Kiki061190 No way! 😱 Wow, I've never realised this is how some of us feel. This is exactly how I'm feeling today, I've never had this before! I can feel my left ovary hard at work, kind of cramping, yes. I'm also moody and headachy and had quite a few naughty treats today already. This is like the whole new world, starting to feel O in your 30s! Thank you for sharing! I'd better get on with some cheeky dtd before our holiday then 😂😁🙌 Xxx

Kiki061190 · 03/08/2019 18:23

@MrsMGE go get you some gal 😝 enjoy your holiday! ♥️

MrsMGE · 03/08/2019 18:42

Thanks lovely @Kiki061190 😘 Haha, will do! DH snoring away on the sofa, blissfully unaware 😂😂 I'll be back soon, hoping to come back to some positive news from all of you 😘🤞❤️ xxx

bananamonkey · 03/08/2019 19:03

Yes @MrsMGE I get stabbing pain in my back on one side for 1-2 days. Its not super painful but can definitely feel it.

Catconfusion · 03/08/2019 19:03

Have a lovely relaxing holiday @MrsMGE ☀️☀️

sadtoday21 · 03/08/2019 23:22

@MrsMGE thanks for your lovely, kind words, as always! You are right that statistics are meaningless now and all we can really do is expect the worst but hope for the best. It’s totally normal for O to be stronger after mc - I felt that way too. I hope you have a wonderful holiday!! Xxx

@Kiki061190 sorry to hear that you have AF signs, hopefully she stays away!! You have the best bd chart I have ever seen, so I’m sure that BFP is just around the corner.

Have a lovely holiday @MrsMGE ❤️ and thanks @sadtoday21, hope we catch soon :)

So I'm currently on day 5 of flashing OPK smiley, it's very annoying as I used to only have 2 days before the solid one! Did either of you have this after d&c? Hoping I get a solid one tomorrow, getting a bit tired of dtd 😅😅😅

Kiki061190 · 04/08/2019 09:20

Fingers crossed @sadtoday21 I’m staying away from temping and charting ect until after my holiday. If no luck by then then I’ll use OPKs again! I feel like your first trimester has been so quick! You’re almost there ♥️

Kiki061190 · 04/08/2019 09:22

@SunStruck I remember using those digital opks and I got nice flashies and never a static. I just gave up after 9!

SunStruck · 04/08/2019 09:54

@Kiki061190 thanks, do you know if you ovulated when you had those flashing smileys? I had EWCM two days ago so thought I'd ovulate by now...

bananamonkey · 04/08/2019 10:07

@SunStruck I’ve been using them 3 months now, first month I had 8 days of flashing smilies before a solid, the last 2 months only 2 days 🤷🏻‍♀️

SunStruck · 04/08/2019 10:12

@bananamonkey thanks for letting me know, so annoying!

bananamonkey · 04/08/2019 10:22

Yes I thought something must have been wrong the first month! I definitely ovulated all 3 times. This might be helpful

bananamonkey · 04/08/2019 10:34

Ah sorry saw you used them in the past. I think pregnancy then ERPC definitely messes up cycles more than I expected.

Kiki061190 · 04/08/2019 11:37

@SunStruck yes I defo did ovulate as I had been temping so stopped using them once I had confirmed O!

SunStruck · 04/08/2019 12:00

@Kiki061190 oh that's good news! But I didn't dtd yesterday because we had a lot on, and I thought better wait for solid smiley, so I hope O wasn't yesterday 🤦🏻‍♀️ will tonight though... I've been drinking this weekend so haven't temped. Kicking myself a bit now I thought I could just rely on the OPK kit 😢

Kiki061190 · 04/08/2019 15:37

@SunStruck I wouldn’t worry! Just dtd every 2-3 days and you should be ok!

Catconfusion · 04/08/2019 17:49

I thought I’d pass on that the fertility nurse from Ovusense said at my appointment every three days is enough if no male factor issues. I dtd the day before this last ovulation purely because I noticed EWCM the day before. At day 31 I didn’t think I’d ovulate. So glad I went for it now. I’m inclined to think every other day is a safe bet. Xx

SunStruck · 05/08/2019 02:12

@Catconfusion @Kiki061190 thanks for your insights, we skipping today (we did dtd yesterday) as I just got my sixth day of flashing smiley 😔 we are also using conceive plus (like preseed) so I guess it's enough with every other day.

I'm now on 35 days post last ovulation. So long. I think I used to be 32 before the miscarriage (I don't have that many cycles to compare to, only two as we caught quickly and I was on the Pill for so many years prior to this).

Kiki061190 · 05/08/2019 13:32

@SunStruck that must be so frustrating! Such a long cycle to wait for O!

@Catconfusion how are you feeling? Are you now 4 weeks?

Catconfusion · 05/08/2019 17:20

Hey @Kiki061190 thanks for asking and yes 4 weeks now. The anxiety kicked in this morning. Of course it lead to me doing another test which was a little darker thank goodness. I just need to hold tight until the scan. Xx

Kiki061190 · 05/08/2019 18:20

@Catconfusion when are you getting the scan? I’m glad! Was thinking about you today! Have you told your OH yet?

Catconfusion · 05/08/2019 18:26

@Kiki061190 thank you for thinking of me. The scan is on Wednesday. DH was here when I did the random test with the first line. He’s really chilled and thinks I worry too much but it’s so hard. I’m really grateful for this pregnancy but terrified of another loss. Xx

sadtoday21 · 05/08/2019 19:02

@SunStruck I once had 9 days of flashy smileys! And the cycle I got my BFP I had 10 days of EWCM - I really think the EPO helped with it. Don’t worry too much about the bd schedule - it doesn’t matter whether it’s every day every other day or just one time! Just try to get at least one bding in when you have EWCM. Even every two days is fine. It’s really just luck, unfortunately!
