Great day for scans Grin Grin Grin hopefully it will continue tomorrow!

Justonemoretime · 05/08/2015 18:07

Brummie, count me in Smile

Sunandrainbow · 05/08/2015 18:07

Wonderful scan news today ladies. Keeping everything crossed for the 3 musketeers tomorrow! xxx

Fb group sounds great! Will pm the details.

Sorry to everyone I've missed, have completely failed to keep up for past few days, but hugs to all. x

Marchgirl · 05/08/2015 18:26

I'm at 1015 minnie. Hand holding x

claire, i think it might be good to see what the gynae has to say. Like you say, if they decide to book any procedures you don't want to 'waste' the coventry scratch if you have to wait for anything. Plus i know they gave brummie an extra scratch when she had a hysteroscopy, so if you were only going to Coventry for the benefit of the scratch you might avoid it if you had something like that. Obv if you are going for the unk testing then that has to be coventry (or thornbury, Sheffield)

I think you have to have an admin invite you to the fb group. If you pm brummie or sasha your details they will add you Smile

clairemorgan81 · 05/08/2015 18:31

I had an invite by email but when I clocked on join group it won't work March.

how you feeling about tomorrow, I hope your managing to keep your fears slightly at bay, bug hugs I know how worrying it must be for you.
I am going to wait as would hate to go to Coventry and then gynae need me to not ttc for whatever reason, I want the testing my husband is yet to be convinced xx

Marchgirl · 05/08/2015 18:32

And in terms of the response trial, Coventry are totally on board with it. I had the unk cells testing having told both coventry and the response trial that if it was high nk i would follow the Coventry protocol but if normal nk i would continue with response. As I'm high nk i followed coventry, but they were v supportive of the response trial and said it's the most exciting/promising mc research for a very long time

clairemorgan81 · 05/08/2015 18:54

I hope I make it into response March but it's looking extremely doubtful. I will definitely want something ongoing after Oct so depending what happens at gynae in Sept I 'll arrange to go to Coventry x

Hurrah for good scan news for fifi and flen Grin

Monten · 05/08/2015 19:20

Great scan news today fifi flen and sebs. Just brilliant.

Good luck tomorrow march and minnie. My local EPU is a bit crap - you can't make appointments, it's walk in only. Which means waking up at the crack of dawn and then sitting waiting, last time three hours. Really not looking forward to it. God I hate that place.

Monten · 05/08/2015 19:21

Sorry, so I meant to add - I will hopefully be going in tomorrow at about 10/11 ish

bakingtins · 05/08/2015 19:22

emerald The TORCH screen is a group of blood tests that check for several different infections in a pregnant woman or a newborn baby. TORCH stands for toxoplasmosis, rubella, cytomegalovirus, herpes simplex, and HIV, but it can also include other newborn infections.

It could be an underlying cause of a single miscarriage, but not recurrent miscarriages, since it's only a new/active infection during pregnancy that is a problem. It's not a standard part of RMC testing.

mrsb0710 · 05/08/2015 19:44

Thanks baking you explained it much better then me. I guess they're discounting my first mmc and focusing on this one, which is slightly disheartening.
Seems they want to tick boxes for their research program in some way.

DH and I had a good talk about everything and we'll try again, and hope for the best. If the worst happens we'll go to Coventry. Hopefully I'll never have to, but we know it's there.

Absolutely exhausted tonight, about to head to bed now, I think its all suddenly hit me again and my body needs to stop and rest.

Thinking of you ladies with scans tomorrow. Waiting is the worst part.

Flen · 05/08/2015 19:48

Think of you m girls tomorrow, SO hope everything goes well for all of you.

girliesaints · 05/08/2015 20:00

Fab scan news today ladies, I was secretly checking news in between meetings and giving little cheers for each of you. Will be doing the same for tomorrow's ladies. (March, I'm in your neck of the woods tomorrow for a flying work visit)

Great idea about Facebook group and will pm to join if that's ok.

Patience, you've been treated absolutely rubbish and certainly worth complaining when you're ready. Might be worth a call to the miscarriage association to check nice guidelines etc, as they helped me challenge my local hospital regarding karrotyping.

clairemorgan81 · 05/08/2015 20:02

good luck tomorrow m&m for scans Smile. x

Emerald72 · 05/08/2015 20:22

Brummie have pm you

Flen yay!!! Great news!! Hat trick then!! What good positive news today

March was just thinking thank god I've heard about Coventry through you lot here, how did you find out about it? I would never have known and no gp or anyone eg miscarriage association has told me. I think it's just crap that you have to find all this out yourself, thank god for you guys! Also I hope you get safely through your danger zone now, everything crossed.

minnie, March and Monten good luck for tomorrow! The three M's!!

Baking thanks for torch explanation, so basically you can only get that if pregnant or had newborn?

mrsb0710 · 05/08/2015 20:26

emerald I'm.not sure on the protocol for TORCH as I'd only heard about it today.
I've been told its routine in some countries, but only done here if you've been exposed to those infections, or had a miscarriage.
They didn't really explain why I'm having it, I was just told the consult thought it might be an idea to do. Probably another test I'll have with no real answers, but its something to cross off the list.
I didn't know its not an RMC test until posting on here.

sebsmummy1 · 05/08/2015 21:30

So had my Harmony done this evening and popped it in the post on the way home. Just got to keep everything crossed for the results from that and the Combined screening. On the plus side even if I get a phone call not a letter re. combined screening, least I've had the Harmony done anyway so we'll be able to see what that throws up.

Talking about throwing up my nausea is showing no signs of abating. I had no MS with my son so anyone got any ideas when it might bigger off. I'm 13 weeks tomorrow.

sebsmummy1 · 05/08/2015 21:31

*bugger off?

fififolle · 05/08/2015 22:15

Brilliant news Flen! It's hard not to be anxious by I'm sure that having the scan would have really helped, sleep well.

fififolle · 05/08/2015 22:17

Thank you for all your kind world and congratulations, you really are an amazing group to be a part of. The support is brilliant.
Looking forward to tomprow's scsn news.

IFinishedTheBiscuits · 05/08/2015 22:21

(is it bad that I feel like if I got pregnant I'd be the one to ruin the good luck with a bad scan?! Anyone else feel like that?

Err... Yep!...

Great scan news ladies, hope to hear more tomorrow.

Will message someone re: Facebook, might need to find a flattering profile photo first!

And Brummie, didn't have you down as a blonde (your description from appointment), you were Natalie Portman in my head!
