All great at the scan! SmileGrin No problems noticed, everyone happy (esp me!).
Also had a very good consultant appointment to discuss birth options afterwards - basically, every option is open to us! It's not 100% decided yet, but we've booked the elcs - given that it'll be Christmas/New Year, we thought better get a date now, even if we change our minds at a later stage. Happy bunny here!

sebsmummy1 · 17/08/2015 18:54

Yay! Yay! Yay! Yay! Grin. Thank fuck for that, I was having kittens waiting for you to update.

So are you going to announce now? Wink

Flen · 17/08/2015 19:03

Brilliant cloud!

cloudjumper · 17/08/2015 19:18

Sebs - pretty much everyone knows already! I announced it after the scan at 16 weeks, there is no way I could have hidden it for much longer Smile

fififolle · 17/08/2015 19:21

Brilliant news cloudjumper! Smile

Monten · 17/08/2015 19:26

cloud that's brilliant! How fab. Am right in thinking you know its a little boy or have I got that wrong? Flowers

sasha I live in East Dulwich and work in Clerkenwell. How about you?

I will be boozing heavily on holiday. I have a confession to make. I've been smoking. Occasionally. I used to smoke, never heavily but socially and when drinking, and successfully quit a few years ago. But last week I was so hacked off with the whole situation and the wine came out and so did the cigs. It's so obviously part of my subconscious that associates smoking with putting two fingers up to the world. Just feel really ashamed now Blush. Don't know why but feel like I needed to confess to you lot. As you were.

clairemorgan81 · 17/08/2015 19:34

just want to say sasha I am in similar situation. 3 mcs within 10 months last year and last mc Dec and no luck yet. my cycles are completely messed up, brown/red spotting for about 7 days then full on af for 7 days. like you the only positive to mcs was the fact I fell so quickly now 7 cycles and nothing. sorry I'm probably not helping but just want to say your not alone x

girliesaints · 17/08/2015 19:53

Fab news Bumble & Cloud x

Monten, glad to hear first day back went ok x

Received my preassessment questionnaire for hysteroscopy. Hopefully sign actual op date won't follow too long behind it.... But it probably will take forever.

Kazz2112 · 17/08/2015 20:23

Monten don't beat yourself up. I have never smoked in my life and have massive issue with it - me and DH nearly split up over him smoking in the early days... but Saturday night found me hidden behind friends garden furniture so he couldn't see me having a couple of sneaky one! Maybe this was responsible for me falling off the dining table! ha ha!

Right ladies... I said I wasn't thinking about it till after holidays but my mind is ticking and I need to ask some stuff...

March - you mentioned about going to Coventry early... Did they not have your medical notes / pick up the date of you last mc from that? As I was on the trial mine will be recorded in my medical notes.

Now....questions...
If I go to Coventry and they find I have high unk what do they suggest?

If they find I haven't what do they suggest?

It's borderline which appointment will happen first... me going to Coventry or my next RMC appointment on 19th October but I certainly won't have results back before that. Do I need to be going to that demanding the standard Coventry protocol?

I've been told if I get a bfp before then to contact and they'll fit me in sooner? With the Coventry stuff do you have to start anything before BFP?

Too many unknowns in my head atm!

Justonemoretime · 17/08/2015 20:30

Yay Cloud and Bumble!
Hugs, Monten, glad day 1 is out of the way.
Re conceiving: I fell first month with #1 and #2, then took 3 months with #3. #4 took about 11 months (minus a month here and there for recovering from hysteroscopy and awaiting Coventry tests etc.) It was 7 months after Coventry in the end (with the accompanying stresses of the scratch only being effective for 3 cycles). It felt like forever, but it will happen. (insert just try to relax platitude here - I know they're awful but I think there's something in it.)

Justonemoretime · 17/08/2015 20:34

Coventry: you need to not be pg for the biopsy to be performed so don't TTC if you're planning to go there. You start by giving them your history then they do the procedure. If high uNK, pred, heparin and progesterone, if normal, no pred. But I do think they tailor it to suit your history, too. xx

Kazz2112 · 17/08/2015 20:36

Is pred predisolene? And is it a steroid?

we're not planning on ttc and will.try to avoid it but don't want to stress about avoiding it too much. Sick off dtd when a stick says so want to be a bit more carefree for a couple of months.

Did Coventry work for you Just?

Justonemoretime · 17/08/2015 20:39

Kazz, indeed it did. Normal uNK, but had progesterone and heparin. Scott 14 weeks tomorrow. :)

Justonemoretime · 17/08/2015 20:39

pred is the steroid Smile

Frecklefire · 17/08/2015 20:41

Brilliant news cloud! x

So GP listened and typed it all up. He asked me what i thought i was (!!!ffs) and i said i didn't know but the things i was afraid of were a)a very early miscarrige, b)some kind of prolapse c)endometriosis. So he's booked me an ap with the female locum on wed at 10am and based on her findings they may refer me. I just want to get a full downstairs check-up. I've had 18 blood tests on this rmc journey. But nobody's either physically examined me or scanned me to che k out that things are physically ticketyboo. Hopefully they will refer me to leeds and not airdale so that anything found would tie up in the nhs's crap admin system better.

BumbleBee0 · 17/08/2015 20:42

Wonderful news cloud! So pleased that you're so happy and feeling positive too! Grin

monten don't feel bad for having a few ciggies! Give yourself a break, you've been through a dreadful time and having to do what you did to get the testing done is enough to make anyone need a smoke and a stiff drink!

sasha sorry it looks like af is here. Sad not got anything helpful to say I'm afraid other than to keep your chin up, keep going and beleive you will be pg soon because it will happen.

freckle hope the Dr was helpful. Been thinking if you and it makes me sad to think of you feeling so shit after all the laughs you give everyone on here. I think you should treat yourself to some nice outfits, hair do, get your make up done and remind yourself how beautiful you are. Then have a night out with mates/hubby and really let your hair down on some lovely cocktails/gin. Obviously that ain't going to solve anything but I really think you deserve to treat yourself. Smile

Thanks ladies for all your support. I really don't beleive I would be where I am now (physically or mentally) without the support of everyone on this life saving thread. Smile xxx

BumbleBee0 · 17/08/2015 20:48

Xpost freckle - hope the female on wed will refer you and you can get some physical checks to make sure everything is ok.

Frecklefire · 17/08/2015 20:53

Monten - as my greek friends in Corfu used to say "only the God's are perfect". Of course it's crazyness, but have one for me - a long cool menthol one! I've not smoked socially in years either.

fififolle · 17/08/2015 21:02

Sasha Kim Kardashian's bump may not be all it seems...there's a very funnily shaped belly button going on....

fififolle · 17/08/2015 21:04

That sounds like a very positive step forwards Freckle, all the best for Wednesday.

Minnie74 · 17/08/2015 21:23

Brilliant scan news cloud and so lovely to hear you and bumble so happy xx

freckle really glad your GP didn't dismiss you and you're being seen on wed. You are such a lovely person and I hate to think of you so down. Xx

monten I think you deserve a fag if it helps! Glad you're first day back went ok.

march good luck for your scan tomorrow. Hope you don't have long to wait.

Scanxiety building for thurs (had a Pepsi Max today and panicked about the caffiene- ridiculous!) More cramping today which makes me nervous but trying to put it out of my mind.

Emerald72 · 17/08/2015 21:50

Bootles no you were fine don't worry. Hope I didn't scaremonger you Flen was only saying what we were told, but seems the majority is saying diff so go for it!

Sasha that's interesting what your councillor said about the loss of maternity leave. I had found it hard to get my head around that part too but what she said makes sense. Sorry af arrived, so disappointing and tough when you're used to getting pg quick. Maybe this time is different so it's just taking that bit longer, hang in there. I think I'd be the same as last 3mc got pg in first month or two so will feel like something wrong if that doesn't happen again. Hear hear bloody Kim Kardashian and everyone on front of OK magazine every week.

Bumble fab news on your scan today! And Cloud that's bloody brilliant!!! Yay!!!

Freckle oh how strange and frightening for you what happened when you were out, really don't know what that's about but I'm sure it can get sorted with GP, don't worry. Good you've got your appointment booked and will now have an mot down below! Good luck. Nothing worse than wondering what your body is doing.

Monten glad your first day back was ok, it's very hard going back after MC and facing everyone but not long to go then it's your holiday! Don't beat yourself up over a few cigs, whatever gets you through and keeps you sane, you've had a terrible time.

I've now got my saline scan booked next weds which is also results day with Dr Rai. And Shehata Monday, so big week next week. Will be away on holiday when it's Coventry time so have to wait till next month for that. Should I hold off Ttc til then?

Emerald72 · 17/08/2015 21:54

Oh and I saw a girl at ds group today who last time I saw her only had her little girl. Today she had a 6mth old with her too. Felt Envy at seeing her with two, isn't that mean as she probably has her own story. And felt pissed off at NCT friend going on mat leave now for no.2 that she had planned cos it happens like that doesn't it to have in September as she only wanted a September babyAngry
