massive hugs monten you have done so well lovely xx

BumbleBee0 · 10/08/2015 18:00

Well done Monten, you've been incredibly brave and you should be proud of yourself. Is DH home soon? I agree with the stiff drink and get your feet up with a hot water bottle. Big hugs x

Barking so sorry you've had such an awful day, and have an important week at work which means you can't take time off. You too are such a brave lady, the way you just keep on going is amazing. Nothing I say will make you feel any better but know I'm thinking of you. Just concentrate on your DH getting home, every hour that passes is an hour closer to him being home. xx

BumbleBee0 · 10/08/2015 18:02

Your employer sounds like such a bitch noodle. Hope she doesn't keep you waiting too long and you can soon be snuggled up in your pjs with hot water bottle and hot choc. x

Kazz2112 · 10/08/2015 18:02

Well done Monten. That must have been so tough. The hardest part is over now. Id personally pour a very very large glass of wine! I've got a huge bar of chocolate for tonight. Seem to have forgotten my holiday diet with 2weeks to go

Barking im so sorry work is so tough. Stay strong. Massive hugs. DH will be home soon.xxx

Sunandrainbow · 10/08/2015 18:03

monten - massive hugs. That's definitely the worst part of the physical side of things that's behind you now. And well done you for fishing it out for testing. Hope dp gets home pronto to look after you. x

barking - hugs to you too lovely. Sod's law you have a busy and stressful week at work when ideally you would be taking time off and just focussing on you. Really hoping you dp is back soon - is it this weekend? In the meantime, hugs and hand holding over the ether. x

patience - sorry, don't think I said a proper hello. So sorry to read in your posts what you've been through. And your boss sounds like an arse. Grrrrrr. Hope you are charging her extra for being late and are home soon in the sofa in your pjs. x

barkingtreefrog · 10/08/2015 18:20

Flen I've going round to a friend's for dinner tonight, going to see another friend for a walk with the dog then a bike ride tomorrow night, Wednesday night I'm meeting friends for dinner then we're off to the theatre to see our friend in a play, and Thursday night I'm cycling straight from work then heading over to see my Dad in hospital. Definitely ticking the keeping busy box....

sun DH is home Sunday late afternoon.

noodle I really hope you're now home and in your pj's. Thanks Must be good knowing you're finishing soon anyway after her unhelpful comments.

A question for those who get the post progesterone crash - how long does it normally last? I'm recognising it in myself today, feel horrendous, but can't remember how long it has lasted previously. Just want to crawl into bed, but mate has just texted to say dinner will be ready at 7...

Oh monten well done for getting through the worst (physical) bit. Hope dh is home with hugs for you now xx

barking you are coping amazingly with what must be the hardest few weeks of your life. I'm wishing dh home quickly for you. Will you get to speak to him again before he's home? So glad your friends have been such a great support in keeping you busy. We're all still here handholding though I know it's not really the same Xx

Flen · 10/08/2015 18:52

Excellent distracting work barking (remember is also ok to flake out and sob if necessary). My progesterone come-down wasn't too bad, a couple of days. Hope it buggers off out your system soon, you've got enough to contend with quite frankly.

And a giant hug to everyone else, you are a bunch of strong, supportive and compassionate women and thus thread shows that every day.

mrsdiddlydoo · 10/08/2015 18:55

monten I don't think I can add to everything that's been said. It's a shit thing to go through but it's done now and you've done good. Hope any pain is easing a bit and you have lots of chocolate, gin/tea and TV as well as RL support as well x

Well done barking for getting through today. One down. 4 more to go until the weekend and dh getting home x

Frecklefire · 10/08/2015 19:13

Monten, you've been really grown up and responsible and fought the 'icky' factor because hopefully it will provide you with information that will help you in the long run. I am incredibly impressed, i don't think i have the gutts, so well done pet! As others have said, time for booze, box sets and chocolate.

Barking, its sods law that you are facing a bitch of a week. Another mountain to peddle up. I hope the thought of being held by Jamie on Sunday gives you the strength you need, and i am sending love and strength as ever.

Marchgirl · 10/08/2015 19:33

I am once again strick by the sadness, yet strength and support on this thread today. You're all an amazing bunch. I'm welling up

monten, well done on getting through that. You've done so well and it'll be worth it if you manage to get a result and help you to decide how to proceed.

barking, what a bugger of a week. Glad you have lots of nice things with friends (who sound ace btw) as well as all the rubbish stuff to keep you busy. Bring on Sunday Flowers

Well done for getting through work noodles. Boss sounds particularly thoughtless Flowers

flen, how are you managing with the sickness and the injections? I just spoke to my mum (who used to be a midwife) and she said in the olden days they used to have bigger needles so had to stick them in at 45 deg, but if you do it too shallow it can be very painful and bruise. She said these days now the needles are shorter you just do it at 90 then it's less likely to go too shallow. For those on pred she also said that can make you more prone to bruising as it makes the skin more delicate/papery.

Sunandrainbow · 10/08/2015 20:02

Sorry noodle / patience mix up above. Hugs to you both!

march - yep definitely noticed a lot more bruising when I was on the pred.

barking - awesome work keeping busy hun. Glad dp is back Sunday - bet it can't come soon enough.

X

Flen · 10/08/2015 20:03

Thanks march, that's really helpful. I'll give 90 degrees a go. I panicked at the weekend when my nausea subsided in the mornings, but it's back again today. Amazingly was triggered at lunchtime today by the smell of hot water?!?!! And no, I definitely wasn't sick into my hands... How are you feeling?

Frecklefire · 10/08/2015 20:03

Hope you can see this cartoon everyone...

Floweroct · 10/08/2015 20:11

monten what a horrible day, you're so brave. Hope you've got treats and cuddles xx

barking what a rubbish week to be busy at work. I hope the time flies by
freckle great cartoon!

Marchgirl · 10/08/2015 20:18

Haha. Brilliant cartoon freckle!!

I'm doing ok flen, only actually thrown up the last three days, which is later than normal, but the nausea is horrendous. Just got some sea bands and trying to convince myself they are helping

girliesaints · 10/08/2015 20:23

Another quiet day on here I see, apologies if I miss anyone in advance.

Barking, one day nearer to dh getting home. Hope you have some time off together when he's home so you can be looked after properly.

Monten, hope everything has now calmed down. Don't be surprised if you pass some more clots from the lining a bit later, as I found I did for 24 hours afterward x

Noodle, welcome and sorry for your loss. Hope we can provide the support/ information you're looking for.

Kazz, not sure if I missed how it went with your appointment this morning. Big hugs either way.

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 10/08/2015 21:22

Monten you are braver than me, I don't think I could have done that.

Barking, sorry things didn't work for you this month, and hope work goes better tomorrow. It's a shame you can't just take some time off but it doesn't sound like that's an option so I hope the week goes as well as it can in the circumstances and flys by fast so you can get to the weekend and to your DH coming home.

I am due to ovulate this week, cd24 is wed and cd28 Sunday and so should happen on or between those days. DTD twice last week to flush DH's tubes out and then DTD again yesterday so fingers crossed we are in with a good chance of fertilising an egg again, although getting it to implant and stay put is a bigger battle....

Emerald72 · 10/08/2015 21:36

Evening ladies, so sad reading about everyone struggling today, but equally so touched by the support and strength shown on here too. Freckle that cartoon sums it up! Brilliant!!

Monten omg you are one brave lady, well done on having the guts to fish it out and deal with it. What an awful thing to go through, I hope you get some answers and are now resting and recovering as much as you can FlowersWineCake

Barking sorry you've had a shit day at work and had to deal with not one but two bumps to rub it in. Good you're keeping busy and you're very strong, I hope the time passes quick till your DH comes home. Flowers
Kazz how was your scan today? Did I miss that.?
Patience and Noodle hope you are both ok and now at home. Your boss sounds a cow Noodle.
Waves to anyone else I missed. Was catching up on fb too!
So tomorrow we are having blood test for karyotyping. Still waiting on af (day 31) so can book saline scan..... Actually feeling quite calm in this enforced break as think someone else said, not missing the emotional roller coaster that we've been on

Lovemylittlebear · 10/08/2015 21:42

Lots of love to you today monten xxx

NotSpartacus · 10/08/2015 21:46

Evening everyone,
I'm sorry to read that so many are having bad days. Monten you are so brave, and Barking you've been through such a lot these last few weeks. Makes me wish I could wave my wand and give everyone a holiday from the sadness.

Nothing at all to report here. Dh and I were always going to have an uphill battle conceiving, and so the struggle for me at this point is to ttc without it taking over my life and leaving me in limbo where every other decision is concerned (and also making me crazy). Currently about 8 or 9 dpo so maybe could test but why bother.

fififolle · 10/08/2015 22:13

Oh Monten what an amazing, brave lady. Take care, sending lots of love

cloudjumper · 10/08/2015 22:21

Barking - that is really tough! Hope you're ok, wishing you lots of strength xx

Monten - at least the physical side is now over. Well done, hope you get to rest now and find some peace.

Kazz2112 · 10/08/2015 23:10

Girlie and Emerald - not much to tell unfortunately. Went for my trial bloods today and she ran off a hcg test aswell. expected her to get back to me with levels this afternoon but didn't hear from her. Not massively bothered because one set of hcg alone won't tell me anything. I need to compare with another set of nloods on Wednesday and apparently possibly Friday too!

They won't scan until next week unfortunately. :( Bleeding seems to have lessened off slightly and I have really had any clots which I would've expected. But I think it's just a matter of time

Emerald72 · 10/08/2015 23:24

Kazz well I guess no news is good news, and hopefully you can hang in there till next week and get some answers. Good the bleeding has eased off, hope it stays that way for you.
