sorry barking definitely misread your post, it must be so tough I really had no idea. have everything crossed for you this time xx

Marchgirl · 24/07/2015 06:08

Keeping everything crossed that your little emby wakes up from its frozen slumber raring to go barking x

girliesaints · 24/07/2015 06:14

Welcome newbies, sorry for your losses and hope you like our merry band of ladies.

Glad Claire you've got a referral. I'm still waiting for my date to come through

Molten, congrats on the bfp and of course being a married lady.

You all made me chuckle with talk of obem. I was asked to be on it with dd as they were filming in Southampton. I declined as I didn't want my lady bits out on TV. If only I had that worry now!

Flen · 24/07/2015 07:22

Still flipping brown blood this morning, I am not coping at all well with this. GP said to rest, which I am but time is going so slooooowly and I'm eking out the minutes between knickers checks. Feel like I'm going bonkers.

bootles · 24/07/2015 08:02

barking I agree with freckle - it still seems a bit (very!) harsh to make you all queue up outside, and I am also appreciating how lengthy and complex this process is for you. Am willing you on. Re ovulation, do you normally get positive opk's, and do they ever check, before the ivf point is reached, that you are definitely ovulating?

onestep I am aghast at your worse than useless GP.

monten lovely, hello, so glad you had a lovely wedding and honeymoon, and great news on the bfp. Re when to get a scan - its a rough one. I have done the weekly thing early on, and also done the waiting 2-3 weeks one. Each seemed right at the time. So I guess do whatever feels right to you at the moment. I have no experience of clear blue digi's (which frankly I think is quite impressive after so many pg's!) and have always relied mainly on ic's so I haven't anything useful to say there I'm afraid. Massive hand hold from me x

Welcome new people, hope you find us helpful.

I have managed to avoid a booking in appointment until now, but have it this morning. Dreading it as having huge anxiety again.

sebs are you up today? If so huge hand hold x

Sorry to those I have missed, I'll read back properly later.

bootles · 24/07/2015 08:06

Cross post flen argh I wish that spotting would stop for you! I have had pink cm on and off from the nearly the beginning with this one. It does sound like it's still a bit of the old stuff that originally caused the bleed, coming out. When is your next scan, and can you get in earlier to put your mind at rest?

Flen · 24/07/2015 08:25

bootles scan is next Wed. I am finding it very hard to stay calm, let alone positive! It's confusing bleeding because it is ebbing and flowing. It had almost gone by the end of yesterday then was back with a vengeance this morning... Hope your booking in goes ok, well done for arranging it - brave!

OneStep2015 · 24/07/2015 08:39

Freckle love love love your post! Grin

Marchgirl · 24/07/2015 08:45

Urgh. Such a pain in the bloody arse that spotting flen. Wish it would bugger off for you but perhaps it's just going to be one of those pgs where you spot but it's all ok. My friend had a mc followed by two successful pgs where she spotted for the first half. She was convinced she was losing them but didn't. I really hope the same is true for you. And i think if it's a very small regular flow then it will seem stronger in the morning as it pools a little when you are horizontal so seems a lot more when you first get up.

Fingers crossed it goes away today. I completely understand why you are following your gps advice, but please don't feel that by getting up and doing stuff you're going to cause a mc. You cannot cause a mc so try not to put that pressure on yourself. I thought the bed rest thing had been disproven (although I'm sure i would do exactly the same if someone said it would help)

OneStep2015 · 24/07/2015 08:48

I see a different GP every time I go to the clinic, fed up with it. It's only now after all my hospital and RMC clinic visits I've managed to direct all the correspondence to one particular GP and arrange appts with them for some kind of consistency in my care!!!! Soooo frustrating.
All my life, my cycles have been like clockwork, no weird spotting imbetween cycles etc. when you have a body that has worked so well, been fit and healthy and then things start to go wrong it's even more difficult to deal with and fathom out what the hell did I do wrong, what have I done to deserve this! Angry

kazz what a great age your grandad is. Completely understand about the milestones. Things really hit home especially at family occasions. Have a wonderful day, kick back, relax and enjoy the occasion. Xx

Kazz2112 · 24/07/2015 09:22

Thanks ladies. I'm certainly going to try try.

Emerald I told the consultant at my rmc appointment about my Grans history - couldn't have seemed less interested!

Just done a FR test as the Response trial I'm on require you to start testing 7 days after getting a smiley on opk. Ridiculously early I know and I had 2 smileys this month at cd11 and cd 15 so I'm only 9dpo and 5dpo depending which test smiley you base it on. so hoping and praying I'm just too early

Morning all Emerald and Flen funny you should talk about a convention...

I work for a very large venue in the Midlands ( cough cough probably completely outing myself - waves to anyone i know lurking) and I work to attract large international congresses to the city. I have identified a fertility congress and we work with the RCOG so it's on my hit list, as lots of the peeps at Birmingham Women's Hospital and University Hospital Coventry and experts in their field ( take a bow Prof B and Prof Q)

I'm already on it!!!!

Totally outed myself I'm sure Grin

Justonemoretime · 24/07/2015 09:38

Brummie, that would be amazing! Grin

Marchgirl · 24/07/2015 10:05

I'd love it to be an open conference for us lot though, with all the profs taking about their research to the patients. Don't imagine they'll ever do that though! !

bootles · 24/07/2015 10:07

brummie that would be great. As would a meet up in the country in a big mansion, whoever mentioned that!

freckle I already delayed booking in and changed the appointment once. I'm 13+4 so really have no choice at this point. Scares the shit out of me.
I know its very hard to think positively, but I hope it's as march says and just spotting with no particular cause or reason. Obviously totally understand your panic though. Also agree about the bed rest - probably helps you to feel you are doing something, but nothing you do or don't do will cause a mc. Is it worth ringing the epu to see if you can be fitted in today or monday? Hugs x

Marchgirl · 24/07/2015 10:19

Good luck for the booking in bootles. Hopefully once it's done you will feel more relaxed. Like a lot of these things, the thought of it is probably worse than the reality. Xx

Marchgirl · 24/07/2015 10:22

Oo. Forgot to say good luck for sebs today. What time are you up? Keeping everything crossed for you lovely x

Teach3 · 24/07/2015 10:33

Welcome Yomping I am sorry for your losses.
I used to watch one born but I can't face it at the minute!
I have my appointment next Tues, I think it is just seeing the consultant. I am worried about my AF coming, do you think it will matter? I am still waiting after my last MC, even did a pg test as it is so late but it was bfn. Must be a WTF cycle!

OneStep2015 · 24/07/2015 10:48

Brummie it would be something else thats for sure!
Look at all the many, many fundraising, awareness events nowadays. If miscarriage is so common (as my GP keeps telling me) why shouldn't RMC be given a massive awareness campaign. I know Tommy's are doing fantastic work raising awareness and money for new specialist centres.
Two years ago I knew practically nothing about miscarriage. In fact its totally flabbergasting to think I knew nothing about it and very little about ectopic and it's symptoms. If it's so common and has such devastating effects on women and their relationships, why do so many not know where to turn when it happens to them. All the info is out there on the internet, but it's takes hours and hours of researching. I hate to think of women suffering quietly, not knowing where to find information and help.

Sebs good luck for you today. xx

bakingtins · 24/07/2015 11:09

sebs good luck lovely!

congrats to the new BFPs and welcome to newbies! I am pages behind as usual....

clairemorgan81 · 24/07/2015 11:29

clairemorgan81 · 24/07/2015 11:29

flen

Frecklefire · 24/07/2015 12:08

Morning bootles**, think you have me mixed up with flen love. I'm not pg (grinds teeth and drums fingers on desk).

Brummie** it was me talkung abiut the need for qn exhibition/festival. But don't worry about your identity being blown. I havw zero idea of anythi

Frecklefire · 24/07/2015 12:09

ng that goes off in the midlands!

Flen · 24/07/2015 12:21

Thanks for all the support chaps. march I hope you are right. I also know a friend of a friend who bled for the first four months of her pregnancy, it's so hard to keep hold of hope though, but I'm doing my best. Got acupuncture this afternoon, hoping he can do some special "plug" points! bootles the EPU would only do a physical exam at this point - they are the ones who said no more than one scan in seven days, and since I had one tues and have another booked on wed, that rules me out. I could possibly get one in on ties instead, but it's the consultant who does it wed, so it is worth waiting to see him I think.

I agree brummie, a conference sounds amazing!

sebs hoping all goes well today.
