brummie, sun so SO pleased for you both Grin superb news!!

I'll catch up and do stats later, thinking of you all but struggling to keep up between work, DD and the start of pregnancy tiredness and nausea...

OneStep2015 · 03/07/2015 21:08

Brummie ah ok I see, many thanks for clarifying.

I bought a 2nd hand copy of Lesley Regans book on Amazon a couple of months ago, was only a few pound. Confess I've had a lot going on and haven't read much of it, but will get back in to it shortly.

OneStep2015 · 03/07/2015 21:15

May many thanks for posting the RMC research link earlier.

ILoveYouBaby · 03/07/2015 21:49

Am I allowed to join after 'only' 2 mc? Both at 7-8 weeks, bleeding from pregnancy test until mc.

I am utterly blessed with a dd, she's 1.7yrs.

I've got fertility problems (endo, cysts, low amh). It took 2.5 yrs to get pregnant first time.

I was feeling upbeat until recently, today it's sunk in that I might not have another successful pregnancy.

I'm about to start having investigations privately. My main concern is not losing another pregnancy.

inamaymaybewrong · 03/07/2015 23:05

Welcome ILoveYouBaby.
Yes not everyone here has had
3+ MCs. I myself have had two, both since last October and the last 3 weeks ago. One at 6+ weeks and one at 9 weeks.
I have mild PCOS and unexplained primary infertility. I have an almost 3 year old from IVF and the first miscarriage was after a frozen embryo cycle. We have 2 frozen embryos remaining.
The most recent MC was a very shock naturally conceived pregnancy.
I too adore my DS and feel so glad I have him, but I share your fears, especially as I turn 38 in a few months time.
So sorry for your losses.

Frecklefire · 03/07/2015 23:05

Hey baby! (really want to say, nobody puts baby in the corner...) I think you'll find you're in the right place, take a seat, we've had a really blessed day, and look at all our thread babies!! WE CAN DO IT!!!! Xxx

Brummiegirl15 · 03/07/2015 23:14

Hi Baby do not worry about having "only" 2 mc's - we don't care!! Am so sorry for your losses. These ladies are amazing.

And please don't worry about your age - I'm 38 (nearly - cough - 39) and I'm pregnant after 3 mc's.

We are in it together!!

barkingtreefrog · 03/07/2015 23:53

Just place marking as it's already two pages in! In bed but couldn't sleep before reading enough to see brummie's news Grin Amazing!!!! I was filling up reading about your sister waiting outside and your parents anxious for news Smile

Marchgirl · 04/07/2015 06:38

Welcome baby, but sorry you find yourself having to be here. You are absolutely in the right place and i hope we can provide you with some support and information. You may find you qualify for an nhs referral for the basic testing given your history of difficulty conceiving combined with two mc. It's always worth a try as this can save you quite a bit for things like karyotyping i believe

barkingtreefrog · 04/07/2015 07:34

Welcome baby, I've 'only' had 2 mc but managed to argue for nhs testing due to both pregnancies being as a result of fertility treatment (clomid then iui), and not wanting to use our only nhs funded ivf round without knowing if there was a problem. I was diagnosed with factor V leiden thrombophilia, although the consultant wasn't convinced that explained my losses at 6/7 weeks.

That probably works for my stats anyway, but for the sack of consistency here we go!

me 36, DH 34, ttc#1 for 3.5 years.
clomid bfp summer 2013,
iui bfp summer 2014
both mc's @6/7 weeks
diagnosed with factor V leiden thrombophilia
iui failed Jan 2015
ivf failed April /May 2015
Nurse appointment this Wednesday to discuss and book I'm for frozen embryo replacement, hopefully August.

Happy Saturday morning! Grin Who else woke in the middle of the night to the most impressive thunderstorm?! Didn't get out of bed, but could see the lightning and hear the thunder and rain!

girliesaints · 04/07/2015 08:09

Back from a week's holibobs and seen its another quiet week on here. Holibobs was fab, although the resort we stayed at had a charity day for Tommy's which obviously a very deserved charity but meant I couldn't get away from mc even on holiday!

Anyway have tried to follow whilst away. Welcome to the newbies, congratulations to Bellende and fab news to Brummie x

Here are my stats;

Me and Dh 37. Dd born Jan 11. Ttc since Jan 14, 4 mcs Feb 14, May 14, Sept 14 & May 15. Currently on Ttc ban whilst await a hysterscopy to check no scaring or left over placenta from Dd birth.

twilightstruggle · 04/07/2015 08:47

I've needed the toilet three times this morning! not symptom spotting at 3dpo

Emerald - we're all over the place. I'm in Essex too.

Welcome baby but sorry you have to be here. I hope you get some useful answers and support from the thread.

Girlie - hope you had a lovely holiday. Empathise about the charity event. As you say a worthy charity but a reminder none the less.

Barking - thunderstorms were amazing. I jumped so much when first woken up I nearly fell out of bed. I love a thunderstorm.

BunnyMad · 04/07/2015 08:55

Hi Ladies, just marking my spot.

I am 40 and my DH is 33

DD born Oct 2011 by EMCS (due to me contracting meningitis whilest pregnant)
TTC since June 2014
MC1 @ 12 weeks Dec 2014- found out at the scan but had a feeling as was bleeding - got a d&c
MC2 @ 6 weeks May 2015 - natural

Think the first one might have been a blighted ovum but hosptial did not say. No testing done.

Congrats to Brummie, great news on your scan, so chuffed for you. Grin

Welcome Baby, sorry to find you hear under these sad circumstances. I have has 2 mc's as well. Great support and good advice to be found on these pages.

Emerald I haven't started any testing yet but will probably go down the Coventry route too but it's a bit of a journey for me as I live in Fife, about 30 mins from Edinburgh. Don't think there is anything in Scotland that does what they do or March would have found it.

girliesaints · 04/07/2015 09:07

Thunderstorms were amazing last night here, although I was driving back from Gatwick in them, which was also a bit scary!

Marchgirl · 04/07/2015 09:12

Ah bunny. I didn't realise you were a Fifer! Doesn't seem to be much of anything up here, although if I'm honest i haven't fully explored private options because we couldn't afford it anyway

BunnyMad · 04/07/2015 10:03

Had a quick scout about March, there are clinics in Glasgow and its sister one in Edinburgh but that's all I can find. Couldn't find any private places to do no cell testing so I guess if I want this done I have to go to Coventry. Same here about the private option though, too expensive for us.

BunnyMad · 04/07/2015 10:05

March Missed out the fact that they are if type clinics rather than rmc.

Frecklefire · 04/07/2015 10:14

Barking* and girlie* we had it wednesday night and it was so fierce it was frightening! Continuous rolling thunder, sky twitching with electrical activity then came the biblical hailstones - smashed our greenhouse and even my car roof has dents in it. All that was the backdrop to us ttc - not very conducive!!!

texta · 04/07/2015 10:18

congrats brummie on your scan, wishing you the most uneventful and peaceful couple of weeks (and months!)...

welcome baby tho sorry you are joining the club. you've probably looked into it already, but many countries (italy, france) use progesterone to treat bleeding in early pregnancy so you might be prescribed it next time by your GP?

sasha interesting to hear your results. not to confuse you more, but i received my private chicago results (immune tests) back with high nk cells and was recommended two rounds of LIT spaced at four week, then again in early pregnancy, and again four weeks after that, depending on LAD levels, plus daily steroids and intrapilids every two weeks during pregnancy... after freaking out at the costs of LIT (zomgz!), i then also got my coventry results back and have normal uNK cells(!) so they don't recommend immune treatment in my case! have you had your uNK cells done? the good thing i had read about LIT is that it is meant to last 8-9 months, so it would just be the top up during pregnancy...is that similar to igiv?

my stats: 3 mcs, one at 6-7w, two at 9-10w, level 1 nhs tests normal, tested positive for ureaplasma on the serum hidden-c/lifecode test (known for miscarriage, scarring and immflamation), slightly raised TEG (recommended asprin by St Marys), high peripheral nk cells (bloods - recommended LIT, steriods and intrapilids), normal nk cells (uterine - recommended heparin and progresterone, not steriods), some scarring from roughly performed ERPCs (UCLH) fixed during hysteroscopy, waiting to ovulate and TTCing for the first time since jan miscarriage and testing...getting positive vibes from all the pregos on this thread....

Belleende · 04/07/2015 10:34

Fantastic news Brummie. The wait to the 12 week scan will feel like the longest ever in your life. I really recommend finding something really mindless to do. I discovered Candy Crush. Fourth time lucky.

inamaymaybewrong · 04/07/2015 10:51

Today is the due date for my first miscarriage, a frozen embryo transfer which I lost at 6+ weeks last November, days before our first scan was due.
A friend lost a pregnancy at around the same stage and it was comforting to talk to her at the time. She conceived again almost immediately and is ready to pop now.... It's so hard seeing her Facebook bump updates, especially after losing our surprise natural pregnancy at 9 weeks just 3 weeks ago... Sad

barkingtreefrog · 04/07/2015 12:09

may , it's always harder when someone close to you constantly reminds you of what you've not got. Two close friends both gave birth within weeks of each of my due dates, it's hard to disassociate their babies with how old mine would be. as a result I avoid them all the time

bunny I had my nk cells biopsy at Thornbury hospital in Sheffield, so it's not just Coventry.

fififolle · 04/07/2015 12:35

Welcome ILoveYouBaby, you'll find so much support and help on here. I've had 2 MCs too, one last October and one in April. I'm also edging close to 38 but have been told by numerous medics not to be paranoid about my age!!

Purplefrogshoes · 04/07/2015 12:41

Yay brummie

at newbies, sorry you find yourself here

2 years ago on this day, I felt the lowest, most awful I've ever felt. I was in hospital having my 3rd erpc, thought I would never have another baby. Sitting here now feeding my gorgeous boy and I just want to thank all you fabulous ladies who helped me at that awful time BrewFlowersCake

Marchgirl · 04/07/2015 13:34

Big hugs for your due date may. I know that feeling well. I too had my first mc at the same time as a friend mc'd. We helped each other through, which was great, then we both got pg again and I mc a second, her pg continued. I then mc'd a 3rd and 4th before the due date of the 2nd. Her baby was born on my due date. It totally sucks. I still find that one particularly difficult. I'm not sure why, because i was so happy for her to have a successful pg after what she'd been through, but i think maybe it just showed me how well someone could get past a mc, and i felt cheated that i didn't get past it the same as her.
Hope the day passes peacefully for you x
