Yay Brummie. That's such fantastic news. I must admit I was getting a bit tense there. Hope you manage to stay reassured beyond the next 4 hours!

Sunandrainbow · 03/07/2015 17:58

inamaymaybewrong · 03/07/2015 17:59

tannyLoo · 03/07/2015 18:14

Dropping in to say brilliant news brummie, wriggling little bubs is fab!

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 03/07/2015 18:20

Brummie am so pleased for you, really hope the next 3 weeks sail by for you. Back to packing for me, still not finished. Hate packing. Pre kids, pretty much all it involved was clothes, shoes, passport, toiletries, and camera and phone /chargers. UK caravan holiday with 2 preschoolers in tow and we are pretty much trying to pack our house into a car and roof box....

Yay that's excellent news Brummie!! You must be so relieved for a little while at least. Not too long till your next scan.

frecklefire thank you, yes we have similar stats and it's so reassuring to hear I'm not alone, not that you'd wish this journey on anyone really but support is such a comfort.
thorn field 38 thank you, I will try that clipper decaf coffee, as really can't bring myself to give it up completely!! Funny really I never even thought about all this with DS but after these 3 losses I just feel my body needs all help it can get. I have acupuncture once a month (can't afford anymore) and do yoga when possible too.
marchgirl and one more time thank you for your comments, wow the thread on here really moves fast!!! I can't keep up! Do I need to repost stats as noticed some of you have and new list from marchgirl but don't think I'm on it?

Emerald72 · 03/07/2015 18:35

Also am I right in saying a lot of you ladies live in Midlands? Hence the Coventry clinic? I live in Essex and going to Mr Shehata at Harley St in August, he also has clinic in Surrey, for NK Cells. Just as bloody well as still haven't heard from NHS referral letter sent by doc on 16 July. Don't feel I've got time to hang about being 43.5......

Sorry emerald, i was in a bit of a fluster when i posted the stats because we were almost at the end of the first page so missed you off. We normally each post a slightly longer history/ update at the start as well as the stats last. I'll add you to the list for next time if you want to post yours. Yes,the thread moves very fast. We're a chatty bunch Grin. Not many of us live that close to Coventry. I'm in Edinburgh! But couldn't afford the prices shehata charges and coventry seemed like a good compromise. it's also not quite so extreme treatment wise and is nhs (self funded), so more likely to get meds agreed by local nhs consultants. You have to be 2 months post mc for coventry, so it is a bit of a wait, although many were waiting for nhs testing anyway.

sasha, gosh, that's a bit of a shock. Glad to hear you got a result but another one of those things that you don't know whether to feel glad there was a reason or sad there was a problem in the first place. Flowers

inamaymaybewrong · 03/07/2015 18:55

Just saw this article about new research on recurrent miscarriage: blogs.babycenter.com/mom_stories/new-research-to-address-multiple-miscarriages-is-promising/
Information is power etc...

Catlover2014 · 03/07/2015 19:00

Great news Brummie so happy for you!!!! Roll on next scan. X

mrsdiddlydoo · 03/07/2015 19:04

Woop woop brummie! So happy for you.

Brummiegirl15 · 03/07/2015 19:05

Thanks so much all. I was overcome with exhaustion I've been asleep for past hour!!!

Onwards to 12 weeks....

You've all been amazing- Loopy you can go on your hols now!!!

Emerald I've been to Coventry and actually I'm one the few that does live in the Midlands!

Sasha woah that's a bit of a shock - hugs to you Flowers

IFinishedTheBiscuits · 03/07/2015 19:30

Brummie, hooray! Have a lovely weekend now you're over that hurdle and onwards and upwards to the next scan. (Mixed metaphors but you know what I mean!)

Sasha, that is a bit of a shock. Although maybe it means your body was working the right way last time, rather than working against itsself because of high NK cells. But still sad news. Flowers

Brummiegirl15 · 03/07/2015 19:34

Can do my stats now! Didn't want to jinx earlier

Me 38, DP 46, TTC#1
3 mc's
1st mc, May 14 @ 5 weeks

2nd mc, August 14 @ 9 weeks, had ERPC and tissue tested normal

3rd mc, mmc January 2015 @ 9 weeks after seeing a heartbeat at. 7 weeks. Got to scan at 9 weeks and found baby had died and had another ERPC. Had been taking aspirin for the pregnancy

Had forced 4 month break for all tests which were normal and went to Coventry plus had hysteroscopy through my consultant at Worcestershire Royal Hospital and all was clear with no scarring

Am now pregnant for the 4th time! And am currently 9+2 and following the Coventry protocol of 400mg progesterone twice a day and 20mg clexane injection once a day. Will take progesterone until 12 wks brut clexane for whole pregnancy

Onwards to 12 wk scan plus I have a cervix scan on 3rd August to see if I need a stitch after 2 x lletz procedures.

When I had my scan today and went in to the EPAU my sister had already been in demanding they bleep her and she was waiting outside for me - clearly a busy day on the wards!! Grin

But she rifled through my notes when I came out and was happily satisfied and told my Mum & Dad had been literally bombarding her all day with texts. My Mum was a bit tearful bless her, not that I blame her - I doubt she'll ever forget the last time I made a phone call after a follow up scan

Lovemylittlebear · 03/07/2015 19:36

lovely news brummie :)

Erica21 · 03/07/2015 19:39

Brummie that is absolutely fab news, have been rooting for you x

Thornfield38 · 03/07/2015 19:59

So pleased the scan went well brummie! Grin

bakingtins · 03/07/2015 20:05

brummie that is fantastic! Chuffed to bits for you!

sasha that's a bit of a curve ball. Take a bit of time to process that information and decide how it affects your plan for next time.

emerald I don't think there are many Midlanders actually - just a lot of motorway miles. I travelled to Coventry from Bristol. It's the only centre doing the uterine scratch/biopsy AFAIK (though someone here got it done in Thornbury???) and there are very few centres doing the blood NK cells, plus it's much more reasonably priced. You only have to travel once, they do follow up on the phone.

OneStep2015 · 03/07/2015 20:15

Emerald I'm in Aylesbury, Bucks, and travelled to Coventry not a bad journey up there really.

Brummie so so pleased for you! Were you not prescribed the steroids by Coventry too? I know we all have slightly different situations but just curious why we are all on slightly different meds from Coventry?

Brummiegirl15 · 03/07/2015 20:21

Onestep I didn't need the steroids, I had the test for uNK cells and I think it was about 2.7% and if you are over 5% you have them.

Just shoving progesterone where the sun doesn't shine send clexane injections for me!

Brummiegirl15 · 03/07/2015 20:23

By the way as we have lots of newbies - would anyone like my copy of Professor Regan's Miscarriage book?

It's done all I can for me and I'd rather it helped someone else. I know there was another copy doing the rounds so I'm happy to donate mine if anyone would like it?

Let me know

Boozle80 · 03/07/2015 20:37

Woohoo! Brummie, amazing news! It made me cry! Woohoo! Go minibrummie!
