Oh sasha Flowers

I honestly cannot recommend Coventry enough and to be honest Cov is all we've paid for - everything else has been through my rmc consultant - who is the same as Loopys

Had loads of messages but can't remember them now...

Barking, what sad news about your
friend.

Sasha, I've decided that every miscarriage is the last time I'll TTC, and a few weeks after I change my mind. Agree with others that it can help to take time out and get ducks in a row. My last one was August and I was going to wait three months, then decided to do Coventry first.

Well a BFN for me this month, but feel a bit relieved, can ask all my questions to Prof Q next week then think about starting again. Do wonder if progesterone/scratch might have helped because I usually fall straight away and that could be the problem.

Did someone here say they had H-Y antigen testing? That's where carrying a boy previously almost makes your body reject further male foetuses.

Good to hear about those who didn't find out a cause but still went on to have babies though.

IFinishedTheBiscuits · 24/04/2015 17:07

Brummie, I went to Coventry on 23rd March. Can't remember when you went but hopefully your results are imminent.

Brummiegirl15 · 24/04/2015 17:47

Biscuit I was 27th. Same day as Flen - so hopefully imminent !

sebsmummy1 · 24/04/2015 17:56

Argh I still don't know whether to do Coventry or not. I have all the good signs that ovulation will appear at some point soon and I'm itching to TTC. It's torture doing nothing.

CheesyMash · 24/04/2015 18:07

Great news on booking coventry pop! Smile

Hope your results come through soon brummie...I wonder if they're not 'normal' and that's why it's taking longer...?

I'm wondering if any if you might be able to help...
I've had basic blood clotting tests done at the surgery which all came back normal when I last called to check, except the thrombophilia one which was taking over 6 wks. I've received a letter from the surgery telling me to book an app to discuss the results but when I called, the receptionist said she 'couldn't see the results'.
So, do you think it's likely there's a problem? I wouldn't have thought he'd want to see me if they were normal and seems odd the receptionist couldn't tell me when they've told me straight away when the result has been normal...Confused

Justonemoretime · 24/04/2015 18:08

Sebs fwiw, I'd do Coventry. For me, I couldn't face losing another knowing there was something I could have tried, but didn't.

ARRRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!

Justonemoretime · 24/04/2015 18:16

In the days leading up to ov, it was hard, but after ov had passed, I can honestly say I rather enjoyed the month off of the pressure of the 2ww. Of course you have to do what you think is best. X

OP posts:
Brummiegirl15 · 24/04/2015 18:29

I'm so glad I did Coventry. Yes it's waiting but it's one more cycle and you'll have all the benefits

But again I understand the need to TTC x

sebsmummy1 · 24/04/2015 18:32

I am going to just see how the weekend goes. I read you are allowed to have protected sex so I guess I can actually have sex if I want. But mainly it's the missing out on a month TTC that's going to be so difficult.

If I don't go to Coventry and don't fall pregnant I'm going to kick myself. If I do go to Coventry and don't fall pregnant I'm going to convince myself this month was the month. It's such a head fuck.

longestlurkerever · 24/04/2015 18:44

Ah yes, you don't need to abstain altogether! Just to give you another headfuck perspective I actually did go ahead and ttc without trying Coventry. I wanted to put my trust in one set of consultants for a final attempt before getting a second opinion. It worked out. Might not have though, and I am sure I would be kicking myself in those circumstances. My cycles are so long though that waiting for two afs, which I think would have been three because of holidays, just seemed impossible.

Brummiegirl15 · 24/04/2015 18:54

In contrast my cycles are really short so I knew I wouldn't have long to wait and that does help with my mindfuck scenarios!!

Minnie74 · 24/04/2015 19:28

Argh this thread moves so fast I can't keep up! Sorry for the people I'll undoubtedly miss!

sasha sorry you're having to go through this again. And sympathise with ds making you feel worse. My ds picks a baby to be in his family everytime we read a certain choosing book. Not even santa is better! Hope you're able to put your feet up.

barking Shock at poor dhs friend. How horrendous! Really does put things into perspective in a totally awful way Flowers

brummie hope you get your results soon. So frustrating waiting. And hope you get rid of your cough soon too.

sebs you're having the dilemma about Coventry that I'll have in about 3 weeks. I'm thinking I don't catch quickly generally so one more month doesn't matter and, as everyone says, my ducks will be in a row. But the other half of me says I've fallen preg after mcs in the next 3 months so I've wasted two already and then I'll have to place all my bets on the increased chance after the scratch. Argh it's a nightmare. I really feel your pain!

cheesy it could really be either. My docs is really secretive about results (my mums had a few letters like that and it's all been fine) can you get an appointment or time for a phone call back maybe?

pop yay for Coventry!

Sorry to the ladies with frustratingly normal results. I don't believe it can just be bad luck either. So annoying!

I know I've missed people but on my phone (as always!) and can't look back. Apologies and waves to everyone. Wine for those who can and Cake for those who can't! Happy weekend xx

mrsdiddlydoo · 24/04/2015 19:57

Sebs its a tough call ... Esp missing a month of ttc. But I found the month off beneficial once I had made the decision. And I knew i f I fell pregnant and mc again I would kick myself for not trying it and having to wait even longer in the long run.

cloud I have gone and told them. Shock They weren't aware of my 2 mc last year. It happened as I imagined. Parents started offering a wide selection of Wine. I said I can't drink. They asked why. Bfp. Then before they could act excited I told them not to get carried away. 2mc last year. Anything could happen. Dad changed the subject to diy. Mum has gone into slightly over the top happy talk. I doubt it will be brought up again. Yorkshire born and bred! If we weren't staying with them this weekend, I wouldn't have told them. We don't see them very often because there's nearly 300 miles between us.

Marchgirl · 24/04/2015 20:36

For those not sure about whether to wait for Coventry/testing, all i have to add is that i nearly went before the last mc but couldn't face waiting any longer to ttc so didn't go. Then i ended up having another one and was so angry with myself for not going before. Obviously nobody wants to think about having another mc, of course you want to believe that it'll never happen again, and hopefully it won't, but bear in mind if the worst happens and you decide you then do want to do Coventry that the clock starts again and you will need to wait 2 months again. Only you can decide of course, it's just my experience (hope that doesn't come across to teacher-y!)

Marchgirl · 24/04/2015 21:20

*too, not to

Minnie74 · 24/04/2015 21:29

You're right march having the clock restart with no Coventry would be a major ball ache. I've done one month. Another can't make too much difference. Even if I did get pg straight away (highly unlikely!) it could be another 6 months if I mc'd at 12 weeks again. You're right! (I'm telling my 40 year old clock to shut the feck up!) So I'm aiming for Coventry in about 3 weeks!!

Minnie74 · 24/04/2015 21:32

Shit just realised if af is later than a week from now it'll be may bank holiday for Cov! That'll mean an extra month. Oh no. Back to stressing!

IFinishedTheBiscuits · 24/04/2015 21:38

That's how I felt March. I started TTC in Feb, after MC4 in August. And spent most of 2WW in Feb wishing I'd gone to Coventry first. So decided I'd rather delay by a month rather than risk regretting not going later.
But everyone is different, some will wait and go to Coventry and it will make no difference. Others won't go and will still have a good outcome. We'll never know the other outcome.

Frecklefire · 24/04/2015 21:42

Hi there all! Xxx

Barking** definitely puts life into perspective. So horrible and shocking, hugs to you and dh.Flowers

Pop - off to coventry ehh? If i was ready i could come down with you! X

I think i suspect where my ov has gone. Ive always ov'd days 18-21, so i started testing day 15. I had an appointment with my accupuncturist today and she said it's possible that the treatment has shortened my cycle and that my ov may have happened earlier and i missed it. This does ring true as i did have a long streak of c.m on day 14 and spotting, but nit my usual headache. So maybe the acvupuncture is doing its job and i havn't accounted for it.

So, since i'm now waiting for my 2nd af since mc #3 i could go to Coventry in May. Can i just confirm, is it 2 periods and then call kerrie when you ovulate?
