Oops 19 pages too late on my stats lol sorry x

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 17/04/2015 23:01

Just tried to catch up, so I didn't read the post you removed Brummie. But if you are scared and have any questions I can answer let me know. It's all quite fresh in my mind, and your experience is likely to be very similar to mine given that it's the same consultant in the same hospital doing the same operation...

Flen · 18/04/2015 07:33

Hi everyone, just checking in. Been lurking for a while and vey distracted by house-moving activities, which has been a blessing in some ways (although we haven't actually found anywhere...) I'm also doing poas this week to try to pinpoint ovulation. jady we have dtd every other day this week. Last time we did it every day and didn't get pregnant and got exhausted! So trying something different this month. I got a not very clear surge yesterday (although will poas today too just in case). Had a text from my brother in law yesterday that really wobbled me saying "could you call your sister and ask how she is?" Felt very criticised, although not sure it was meant that way. Had to step away from the phone for a while and breathe before trying to explain that I don't feel emotionally strong enough and I'm not the right person to empathise with pregnancy/about to give birth or difficulties with existing baby issues. I think he accepted it, but that didn't stop me waking at 2am and going over it all in my head eighty million times!

That's me de-lurked with a bit of a rant!

girliesaints · 18/04/2015 07:54

Umm so this morning I got a faint bfp and I've since done a digital test which is showing pregnant 1-2 weeks. I'm really scared at this moment and in shock!

girliesaints · 18/04/2015 07:55

Sorry Flen you had a rubbish night's sleep after the text. Sun's out here, so hope you have a better day x

cloudjumper · 18/04/2015 08:06

Girlie Smile Whispering congratulations!

tannyLoo · 18/04/2015 08:07

Girlie I am ever so gently whispering congratulations! x

Justonemoretime · 18/04/2015 08:07

Flen, sorry it kept you awake. You need to do what you need to do, and not beat yourself up. However, I would also like to add that, personally, I always found the anticipation worse than any contact or meeting itself, and when my sister was pg after I lost #3, I told her how hard it would be, but that I did love her and that there may be tears when I saw her. She was understanding and, overall, I was glad I did maintain contact despite the odd hiccup.

Girlie tentative yay to you. Good luck. Sorry I can't remember; do you have a treatment plan in place?

girliesaints · 18/04/2015 08:16

Thanks ladies. As its the first month of ttc and each time I've fallen pregnant in either first or second time, I'm concerned my body isn't being selective enough for the egg and it's going to fail. But as DH as pointed out that we fell pregnant first time with DD and she's perfectly healthy (if not a little stubborn!)

On the response trial, so off to contact the trial team to begin the trial drug. Won't know if on placebo or actual drug but will be getting weekly check ups and fortnightly scans.

bythesea82 · 18/04/2015 08:34

flen sorry for lack of sleep and hard family things.
girlie congratulations, hope the response trial helps through the first hard weeks.

CheesyMash · 18/04/2015 08:45

girlie Smile hoping this is the one for you Smile
flen I think you were right to let your brother know how hard it is for you. As just says, it might be good to let your sister know directly too, so she knows how hard it will be for you next time you see her. Good luck with the house hunting!

Marchgirl · 18/04/2015 09:09

Congratulations girlie! That's amazing news. Fingers crossed the response trial will work for you. I watch with interest Smile

Good luck with the house hunting/moving flen, and for the dreaded 2ww. Sorry things are difficult with your sis. Maybe you could send her an email in the first instance so you can have a think about how to say things and so you don't need to risk crying on the phone. I'm sure she will understand. Hugs to you x

Floweroct · 18/04/2015 09:28

girlie congrats really hope it works out - as they say at coventry it's a new egg, a new lining and so a new chance x

flen sorry you've been kept awake but it was the right think to do to explain to your brother and do things in your own time.

I didn't hear back from kerri and couldn't get hold of her so I've started on 400mg progesterone once a day as that's what I've taken before but now worrying it might be too much!!

I have ivf appt on Tuesday so I may test before that but not holding out much hope!

bootles · 18/04/2015 09:32

biscuits, brummie and flen, and 'sebs' (hope i got those right?) sorry about the sister issues. Its hard when you feel unsupported or pressurised by family.

girlie good news! quietly crossing everything for you. Great you are on the response trial and should be well supported.

I stopped the progesterone yesterday as bfn 11dpo and got af today on cycle day 26 . I am trying to think an annovulatory cycle (what i suspect) and a month of spotting is just my body having a blip. Hoping this cycle is more sensible.

Minnie74 · 18/04/2015 09:54

girlie congratulations! Everything crossed for you. Hope the response trial is helpful too.

flen sorry you've been upset. I agree it's worth trying to explain to your sister. Are you close? I'm sure she'll understand.

Jady77 · 18/04/2015 10:12

Flen thoughts going over and over and over is horrid hugs. My temps haven't risen yet and we did skip dtd yesterday so think we'll have to try again today. Positive opk was on Wed, but still not sure I trust those sticks.
We're viewing a house today, was meant to be 2 but 1 sold :(

Congrats Girlie! Fingers and toes crossed.

Bootles Flowers here's to a sensible cycle this month.

tannyLoo · 18/04/2015 11:16

Jady come to Frome! We're very nice here!

Brummiegirl15 · 18/04/2015 11:26

girlie whispered congrats!

Loopy I deleted my post as was being unreasonable and probably definitely very unfair. Yesterday was bit of a struggle.

No idea why I am so scared - Mr Watts is so lovely and my sister trusts him implicitly but I guess I'm just feeling emotional.

I've also come down with a stinking cold which is not good. I need to get better before Monday or they'll take one look at me and cancel the op. I'm mainlining vit c like my life depends on it.

I cannot have this op cancelled

Flen do not worry about your sis. She'll be ok. Your BIL has your sis as his number 1 priority which is how it should be. You are yours Flowers

Frecklefire · 18/04/2015 11:42

My god you girls are so fertile! girlie huge shouty congratulations from me Grin. So pleased for you xx

Jady77 · 18/04/2015 14:09

Tanny I do really like Frome, looked at a cottage with its own cave there couple of years ago. Has a good feel too. Unfortunately DP's son is in school North Bristol for another couple of years so are compromising on Keynsham.

Wishing your cold away in time for Monday Brummie. Not tried it myself but have heard people rave about Berocca for colds.

Frecklefire · 18/04/2015 14:27

Wish cold gone from me too Brummie**!
Girlie** (tiny whisper so as bfp won't knotice) woohoo!!Grin

tannyLoo · 18/04/2015 14:32
