Great tanny! Grin

14 weeks today cat. Won't pretend I feel great yet, soooo tired this week but my mood has improved (ironically the temper lifted just as the sickness really kicked in) and I am starting to feel a teeny bit excited to balance it out.

Thanks for the new thread. See you on the other side!

Hi everyone,

So sorry you're all going through this, but it's nice to hear I'm not alone.

I've got no children and have miscarried 2 times in the last 6 months. First one at 5wks and was pretty straight forward. Second one was a blighted ovum. Would have been 9wks, but at an early scan was told the pregnancy hadn't grown beyond 5.5wks, although I still felt pregnant. Waited for nature so finally started bleeding at 11wks, and bled for 3wk.

I am desperate to have some private tests done (don't want to go through it a third time to get NHS tests if I don't have to). I'm based in London and have read that St Mary's is the best. However, they never pick up the phone! Over the past two weeks I've rung them over 20 times and left loads of messages but no one has contacted me.

So my questions are:

a) has any one else had this issue?
b) has any one had private tests in London at another clinic that they would recommend?

I'd really like to start trying again in Jan, but want tests first but feel I'm running out of time.

Any advice appreciated.

Thank you

xxx

Hello newtothis14,

Have the NHS told you they wont test you unless you have had 3 MC? I only ask as i was offered the test after 2.

I know how frustrating it is having to wait, and decding wether to risk trying again with out the tests.

I've had 3 MC in total and found out last monday im pregnant again. Went for a scan but they struggled to see anything so had bloods for my HCG level which was 870 and need to repeat tomorrow and praying theyve doubled.

Hope you manage to get them in London. Have you looked anywhere else?
