Yes 5mg, you can get 1mg tablets prescribed or take handfuls of the 400 microgram ones (12 tablets = 4.8mg)

boozle give that nurse a massive hug from anyone who has been in our situation, how great to have that attitude.

Baby Boozle is doing great - just had an exploding cyst!

scotters · 27/11/2014 10:36

Hello all,
Im new to this so hope im doimg it rite lol.

Really sorry to hear of everyones losses. I have suffered 3 MC now, 2 of them were in a row but now i cant seem to fall pregnant. We had our last MC about 6 months ago so i know we have'nt been trying for long but feels like forever. I have a little boy with my previous partner then when we split up i met my new partner (now my fiance). I panic incase i cant have anymore as i really want to have a child with him and would hate to not be able to give him one. I know im jumping the gun and am trying to stay possitive.

Boozle80 · 27/11/2014 10:37

Still got a bit of a bleed going on but it's much smaller and Scamp is growing perfectly :)

Boozle80 · 27/11/2014 10:43

Welcome Scotters to the place no one ever really wants to be. Everyone here is amazing. Ttc is the most frustrating thing in the world. Have you tried ivulation sticks and temping. It's a bit of a pain but massively helps as to knowing when to jump on your OH!

Boozle80 · 27/11/2014 10:44

Ovulation even - sorry typing on my phone!

scotters · 27/11/2014 10:51

I have'nt tried them yet, but am due on next week so if no joy i will get some and give it a try. I fell so quick the last times so was hoping it would happen quick again. Im waiting for some test to be done and they said to not try till i've had them but the waiting list is ages and i cant help but try. :/
Boozle80 really please to hear little one is growing well. How far gone are you now?

Boozle80 · 27/11/2014 11:01

8 weeks 4 days. Although the scans just boosted me to 9 weeks. :) I'd definitely give the ov sticks a whirl - if nothing else they make you feel like you're doing something! Xx

Catlover2014 · 27/11/2014 11:04

Great news Boozle what a relief!!! Try to take sometime out from work if you can, you need to rest after your scare.

Welcome Scotters sorry you find yourself here and that you've had mcs. Do you mind me asking your age? Remember as you move into your 30s it does take longer ttc. It's good to use ovulation sticks and BBT to track when you're ovulating. Also get yourself some inofolic from pharmsure if you can afford it. I feel sure it's helped me.

Hugs xxxx

TinyTear · 27/11/2014 11:07

Great news Boozle! phew!!

Marchgirl · 27/11/2014 11:10

That's fantastic news boozle! So pleased that it's something fairly routine. That little one of yours must have burst the cyst stretching its little body as it starts to move. Hopefully it's all plain sailing from here x
Welcome scotters and sorry you find yourself here. Not a bad idea to keep an eye on your ovulation symptoms or use the tests just so you know what your cycle does, although it does make me a bit manic, so not necessarily for everyone!
Fingers crossed that this is your cycle. Have you had any testing?

longestlurkerever · 27/11/2014 11:10

Great news boozle! Another massive relief!

Welcome scotters and welcome back barking. At work on my phone so will write something longer later. barking I agree about aspirin not being a good idea to take just in case but isn't it part of the treatment for clotting disorders? I am no expert though, don't take my word for it!

Purplefrogshoes · 27/11/2014 11:11

Yay boozle
scotters welcome sorry you find yourself here
My scan is at 1.45, had nightmares all night and I need to go on my own

barkingtreefrog · 27/11/2014 11:11

Woohoo! Great news Bootle Grin. I bet you're happy you went now!

scotters there is a bit of a wait, but in my case they found something wrong that they can treat next time, so I know I made the right decision to insist on testing and not to just go for the next round of iui (and risk wasting a chance). Sometimes waiting is worth it not to go through another mc that could be avoided. In my case I can't get pg naturally (well, never say never but it hasn't happened yet and I came off the pill in dec '11) so I can't try again properly until the clinic can help me anyway!
Temping and opks will tell you exactly what is happening with your cycle, and also makes you feel like you are doing something.

barkingtreefrog · 27/11/2014 11:17

longest that's the confusion - up until recently heparin + aspirin was the agreed procedure for thrombophiliato reduce blood clotting, but now there's no consensus. Another mner I know with the same diagnosis and similar history has been told by her consultant to take it, and I know of others going through IVF who have been told to take it. My consultant says not. The internet is split 50/50 on heparin + aspirin or just heparin. Confused

scotters · 27/11/2014 11:33

Im 29 turn 30 next june. I had my first MC 2 Years ago then my last 2 begining of this year. Im goinmng to ring the docs and push for the test as barkingtreefrog i think ur completley rite. If there is anything that they can do to prevent it happening again its worth the wait. They said it could b a mixture of things like my bloods to thick, hormone inbalance etc.

It's so nice to see that after MC we can still go onto have healthy pregnancies.

Boozle thats great news, keep us posted. Have you got another scan at 12 week's?

bythesea82 · 27/11/2014 12:27

boozle Grin

Floweroct · 27/11/2014 12:41

Great news boozle! I'm back at work today which is ok so far but feeling a bit dizzy and tired. Found out yesterday that my bupa insurance covers me for tests so I've been looking at which consultants to go to and it's making my head spin! Trying to work out whether to go local (s wales) or further afield so I can see ones that I've seen recommended in London (the Coventry one isn't on the list) and then trying to work out what they test for and who I'd rather see based on that. Think im just in panic mode at the moment and need answers now!! It's not even been a week since number 3 so I need to calm down! This forum really helps :)

Flen · 27/11/2014 12:53

Boozle I am so pleased! Yay yay yay!

Boozle80 · 27/11/2014 12:54

Good luck Purple. Sending you virtual hand holding too!

Flen · 27/11/2014 12:55

And bythesea hope it goes well next week, thinking of you (my blood tests are middle of Dec and I am now starting to get slightly twitchy and impatient...)

Flen · 27/11/2014 12:56

flower I did exactly the same immediately after my third - hit the research hard! It calmed down though, for me I think it was part of the process, I needed to feel like I was a) doing something and b) equipping myself for teh next stage of the journey.

tannyLoo · 27/11/2014 13:05

Busy not writing an application form, but just wanted to say yay to boozle!

bakingtins · 27/11/2014 13:10

Fab news boozle Grin

Good luck purple we are all holding your hand through cyberspace.

Welcome scotters I'm sure you will be able to give your OH a child - with a previous successful pregnancy and probably a decade of childbearing left there are plenty of positives. I'd go for whatever tests you are being offered at this stage, maybe try charting your cycle in the meantime if you've never done this. If you do get pregnant again you can't have the tests and if you're not "on the books" of an RMC clinic you may not get any additional treatment or scans (seems to vary a lot) in your next pregnancy. I know it's frustrating when the months are ticking by.

flower is St Mary's London on the list? Given the choice I'd go there, and have Coventry as a back up plan ( even if you have to pay the £360) if nothing is found.

Yay boozle

Good luck purple

Welcome scotters

barking My consultant obstetric haematologist advised me to take both the heparin and aspirin from BFP, which I had for my last 3 pregnancies/mcs - just to add to the confusion. I do not have a clotting disorder, though, this is because I had a DVT a few years ago. The aspirin did not contribute to these miscarriages, (well, for the majority of them), the ones that were tested were due to chromosomal abnormalities.

Sorry for being short today, I have my promotion interview this afternoon and a ton of work on top of that.
