A Manchester Meet up?

MerlinsBeard · 08/02/2010 11:08

Seems there a few Manchester MNers who would like a meet up.

I know the SHineys are having one but feels wrong to gate crash if we haven;t posted!!

I am not volunteering to organise one, just starting a thread so other people can

I am far to lazy and likely to change my mind to do that!!

Just let me know if you want to make the group secret. When it is 'closed' it still shows on your wall but no-one can read it, just see you are in it.

Secret, is very secret but I have to invite you, so you will need to FR or message me.

AnyFucker · 08/02/2010 21:06

I have loads to hide

MrsChemist · 08/02/2010 21:09

I am having ishoos navigating the new facebook. It is not in my interests.

suwoo · 08/02/2010 21:12

Not got your request Verity. The new FB layout is shite.

BelleDameSansMerci · 08/02/2010 21:15

AF, that's why we love you!

Perhaps you could wear something as per "our heroine" circa, erm, 1984? Or just go with the badge, of course.

hairymelons · 08/02/2010 21:15

Monday the 8th it is, fab.
Have requested to join the fb group, my first name is off of the Waltons. Surname is McT.
You won't recognise me from my fb photo though, it is false advertising pre children. It's taken it's toll.

BelleDameSansMerci · 08/02/2010 21:17

Am slightly relieved no-one already knows me in RL. Phew!

KnitterInTheNW · 08/02/2010 21:23

I have requested, my initials are KT.

I'm another veggie!

(Feeling a bit shy butting in when you'd already made the arrangements...)

AnyFucker · 08/02/2010 21:26

what do you suggest belle

several crucifixes round my neck ?

a leotard with my fanjo hangin' out ? (that should go down well..)

pointy cone breasts ?

for those going , belle and I are big Madonna fans

BelleDameSansMerci · 08/02/2010 21:32

I was thinking fingerless gloves and strapless lace dress but you go for the leotard if you like!!

AnyFucker · 08/02/2010 21:34

knitter can you suggest any actual venues ?

we seem a bit stuck

that giraffe thingy might be ok, have never seen it meself

BelleDameSansMerci · 08/02/2010 21:40

Giraffe website here

suwoo · 08/02/2010 21:46

I am in bed now with only my iPhone for company. Will accept your group requests tmrw.
AF are you from chesh-yre or that place beginning with W where there is a large ikea full of scousers?

AnyFucker · 08/02/2010 21:48

both wrong su

I am not a footballers wife, nor am I Kerry Katona

hairymelons · 08/02/2010 21:50

Giraffe looks fine, anywhere with wine room for the pram will do

bilblio · 08/02/2010 21:53

Can I come too? I'm also working but I have a few days annual leave to use up.

I can't believe that only yesterday I was swearing blind I would never ever visit the trafford centre and yet today... it's a slippery slope now.

suwoo · 08/02/2010 21:56

Anyfucker...bacup?

MrsChemist · 08/02/2010 21:58

Everyone is welcome

Also, the Trafford Centre isn't bad, just avoid at Christmas and weekends

whyme2 · 08/02/2010 22:00

This is so scary exciting. A chance to meet the great and the good of mumsnet. swoon.

I would like to join you, I've booked the 8th just waiting for the venue.

whyme2 · 08/02/2010 22:02

I've requested to join the group - I am a common flower. (cryptic clue there)

AnyFucker · 08/02/2010 22:02

( no offence to Bacupians )

YanknCock · 08/02/2010 22:03

bilblio, I swear blind I'll never go again every time I visit the Trafford Centre on a weekend.

suwoo, I'm in that place that starts with W, but I am also not Kerry Katona.

KnitterInTheNW · 08/02/2010 22:03

I haven't been to the Trafford Centre Giraffe, but have been to one in London to meet my MN post natal group ladies. Some of ate, some didn't, and the food was lovely. I think if we booked it's be just what we're looking for.
