Don't know ggglimpopo, give me some more clues - exactly how big a Bay City Rollers Fan were you? C'mon name the concerts you went to and articles of clothing...

Hello older mums, I am 47 and have three kids, 5yrs 15yrs and 18yrs. Two ds and a dd. Wish i had only had one really. (what an awful thing to say i know) but it is very demanding and at my age i just want a break !Love them all though very much !

tessasmum · 09/05/2006 16:29

Hello, can I join in?
43 with a DD of 3 and DS of 6 mths.
Found out I was pregnant with DD a week after my (very boozy!) 40th birthday party and haven't looked back.

Midge Ure is still hot though a bit too vertically challenged really. Anyone remember Slik?

2shoes · 09/05/2006 17:14

yeahinaminute · 09/05/2006 17:20

maltesers · 10/05/2006 11:26

Where do all you older mums live. I live near Salisbury/Southampton, midway between the two.

suejonez · 10/05/2006 11:36

South West London (Kew)

goldenoldie · 10/05/2006 11:38

I'm in London - N1

supakids · 10/05/2006 11:53

KiwiKat · 10/05/2006 13:44

I live in East London, and am soon to become a first time mum at the tender age of 40. The carpal tunnel thing is horrible, but other than that, all seems ok (touch wood) and we're really excited about the arrival of our little boy mid-July. Would really love to catch up with some of you others if we could find somewhere that's not too hard to get to.

Kiwikat

ggglimpopo · 10/05/2006 13:47

I am 41, have five children, the youngest is 16 months and the oldest is 16.

I am miles away, unfortunately, in sunny France. No, SJ, you aren't my sisterWink - no Bay City Rollers in the family!

suejonez · 10/05/2006 13:54

KiwiKat - I probably work not far from you... near Liverpool St Station/ spittalfields

Always game to meet up. Anywhere between Richmond and Liverpool St (preferably on District line Grin)

KiwiKat · 10/05/2006 14:11

Suejonez, I work in South Ken and live in Bethnal Green, so it would be quite easy for us to catch up. GGGlimpopo - don't suppose you've got a REALLY big guest room so we can all come over for the weekend??? Would love to practice my French, and what better way than over lots of wine with lots of other mums and babies?! Wink

suejonez · 10/05/2006 14:17

Yeah! Lets all go to ggglimpopo's Grin

2shoes · 10/05/2006 14:24

i'm beside the seaside in brighton

KiwiKat · 10/05/2006 14:51

2shoes, we can weekend with you just as easily!

2shoes · 10/05/2006 15:32

funny just read post mentioning carpol tunnel i had that wit ds. ended up having to wear splints in bed (he got on my nerves then and still does lol)

KiwiKat · 10/05/2006 15:43

Saw the doctor about it today, and she's advised splints. Funny how you don't hear about this until you're pregnant - my mum and sister had it too, but only told me that recently when I mentioned it in passing. It's driving me crazy at night, but isn't too bad during the day.

DH thinks I'm a hypochondriac, and wants to know why I can't be more like that woman in the paper who thought she'd just had a dodgy curry and then suddenly - there was a baby! I ask you - does this woman sound like the sort of person who should be in charge of a baby?!

2shoes · 10/05/2006 16:46

i seem to remember(14 yrs ago) that is was bad at night but ok during the day.
Men they sould try being pregnant then they would shut up

2shoes · 10/05/2006 18:44

need to rant sorry and think people of my age might get it... a drama made about the moors murders is that not sick???????????

maltesers · 10/05/2006 21:26

Good luck KiwiKat with your 1st baby. I had my last ds at 41 and had awful carpel tunnel pain..Know what its like. Wow there are a lot of you mums in London. France sounds nice Gggglimpopo and 5 kids ! ! ! !

2shoes · 13/05/2006 23:06
