couldn't get DP to swap days but have bribed pursuaded the other manager to cover Monday so I am freeeeee!

Indith · 04/08/2009 08:11

Yay!

pseudoname · 06/08/2009 08:59

I have a work place assessment at 9.30am in Sunderland. Yes, school is out but it hasn't been easy to get this planned and I missed one appt already and then I go on holiday the following saturday so it looks like I will miss this meetup - plus I will be child free that day. Would it be liberating norty to show up at PlayKrazy without children???

pseudoname · 06/08/2009 09:00

eeek. I have to out myself now. I'm the poster otherwise known as Foxy.

Indith · 06/08/2009 14:25

Oooh cloak and dagger

I could lend you one of mine if you want Which one would you like, the lunatic or the reckless imp?

Shame we'll miss you, hope to catch you before you go back to school

LissyGlitter · 07/08/2009 16:50

This is probably a long shot, but is there anyone coming from Washington who is driving and would like to do a carshare? I will pay my share of petrol and bring a car seat for DD, it's just the public transport route looks pretty complex as I don't know the area and I'm likely to get woefully lost! Plus traveline is estimating a journey time of just under two hours, which seems excessive for the distance travelled.

I live near Usworth sixth form, but can meet you at Concord or the Galleries, or any other landmark that's pretty easy to find from the bus route!

StealthPolarBear · 07/08/2009 19:37

I'll be there
Sorry LissyGlitter, coming from West Durham - hope you manage to sort something out
Sorry you can't make it, incognito one

StealthPolarBear · 07/08/2009 19:37

and I have a 2yo and another due in September so very similar to you!

juneybean · 07/08/2009 20:26

Lissy I am coming from Washington , I could pick you up depending on the car seat.

I have a Citroen Xsara and think I've managed to fit two stage 2 plus a booster in the back before!

Just don't laugh at my driving still nervous a year later lol

LissyGlitter · 08/08/2009 12:13

Juneybean, thanks!

My email is aliciajduffy at googlemail dot com, send me an email and we will arrange what's happening

Indith · 09/08/2009 14:26

Wohoo! See you all tomorrow.

spiggy · 09/08/2009 18:14

Not done a meet before, or been to this place. Where will we meet? inside/outside? And will you wear red carnations and carry a copy of the local paper so I can recognise you all and don't try to join in with a random group of people

pseudoname · 09/08/2009 18:18

looks like i will be there after all with dd1. have never been there either.

StealthPolarBear · 09/08/2009 18:25

woo hoo!
Have just texted Indith to say internet connection down (don't ask) and she said it's on the industrial estate in Bowburn and is easy to find
spiggy - in the past it's been easy to spot the group of women with children but you're right, in this case we may need something extra! FWIW I will be the one who's 35 weeks pregnant and looks it, trying to stop the blond toddler wrecking the place!

StealthPolarBear · 09/08/2009 18:27

Although she said there were 2 industrial estates and she thinks it;s the second one (heading away from Durham)- worth bearing in mind

pseudoname · 09/08/2009 18:28

i had a look at google maps and think i will make it.

LissyGlitter · 09/08/2009 18:33

Oooh, I'm excited now! Unless we manage to somehow spill stuff over ourselves when getting dressed, I will be the blonde woman in glasses, 24 weeks pregnant, in a purple maxi dress and long sleeved pink top. DD will be the blonde two year old in a green dress.

Beyond the usual nappies, wipes etc, is there anything special I need to bring? I've never been to one of these soft play centres, well not as an adult anyway! Do I need to go to a cashpoint tonight or will there be one there?

Indith · 09/08/2009 19:15

Can't remember if there is a cashpoint there or not. you don't need anything though, they sell cake and have potties etc in the loos.

I have no idea what I'll be wearing and am not pg so can be identified by the small blond curly haired boy clutching a bedraggled rabbit blanket and the 7 month old girl, ah sod it, she will be wearing a ridiculously girly dress with flowers on, a green underskirt and matching green cardi. I'm enjoying this having a girl business

spiggy · 09/08/2009 19:44

I'll be the tall brunette lurking by the entrance smiling nervously at everyone going past, occasionally shouting "Stop that!" at a rampaging blond 2 1/2 year old boy and holding a dark haired 7 month girl.

Or I'll be the harrassed one running in at 10:45 muttering expletives under my breath having got lost on the way

pseudoname · 09/08/2009 19:47

I'll have the 4yo who will look like she has been dragged through the hedge backwards.

BettySwollux · 09/08/2009 20:36

I'll be in a T shirt and jeans and purple crocs!
Oh, I'll have a blonde wannabe teenager who will prob come in shuffling his feet and then hare off when he remembers that he does actually like these places.
And a grumpy and excitable blonde toddler son.

See you all tomorrow .

juneybean · 09/08/2009 20:52

I'll be wearing...clothes...which ones...not decided yet lol

Indith · 10/08/2009 20:04

Good to see you all today Managed to keep ds awake in the car so he had a good nap after lunch
