You may think you are the only one Mumsnetting in the North East but you are not. Come on and meet foxytocin and a few other lovely mumsnetters. Sign up quick so you can help decide where and when.

Bump

Indith · 19/10/2009 15:08

I have cleaned the bathroom and my children are still asleep so have another bump before I toddle off to do the ashes and make fire.

StealthPolarBear · 19/10/2009 15:14

Well I have one sleeping daughter and a son who was curled up on the sofa to watch beebies half asleep before the really interesting car transporter man turned up and I had to answer "that daddy's car" - yes it's going to be repaired "Where daddy's car going?"....sigh

Indith · 19/10/2009 15:32

but car transporters are sooooooooo exciting. I now only have the one sleeping child, the small one is merrily pushing the larger one's tractor round the room revelling in the fact that her brother isn't yelling "No! No! Not to play with MINES tractor!" before pushing her in the face and bashing her with a duplo brick to release her hold.

StealthPolarBear · 19/10/2009 15:37

I have all this to come!

Indith · 19/10/2009 15:41

Sounds good

I need to find something new to say.

If a Christmas child free meet up is on the cards does anyone (because you are of course all lurking on the thread and have not forgotten about it at all) think that the Christmas menu at the www.gourmet-spot.co.uk/ seems like a bloody good idea?

StealthPolarBear · 19/10/2009 18:00

I don't think I child free evening thing is for me, sorry, but i hope you all have a fantastic time

Indith · 19/10/2009 18:10

I'm just being hopeful What are the chances off dd deciding to actually sleep for more than a couple of hours at a time between now and December?

StealthPolarBear · 19/10/2009 18:37

pretty good, assuming you mean December 2011!

Indith · 19/10/2009 19:14

Indith · 21/10/2009 14:27

Come on guys! Half term next week, most toddler groups shut down, I'll go mad!

Indith · 21/10/2009 15:49

Boo!

LissyGlitter · 21/10/2009 15:55

Hiya, I'm here Birth of DD2 is imminent (well she is due 22 Nov, but imminent sounds better) but I am well up for a meet up. Just one request though- can we try and make this one public transportable? I luckily got a lift last time, but if I have two kids to transport it could be hard.

Also well up for a kid free evening, obviously depending on DD2 and what breastfeeding timetable she gets in. DD1 was ace and would have expressed out of a bottle no problem, but this one might not be as easy.

Indith · 21/10/2009 18:51

Where is good for you Lissy? Dh is starting to use the car more and go into the office now he can drive again so I may well be on public transport too.

LissyGlitter · 21/10/2009 23:14

Well I'm in Washington, but I understand most of you are in Durham, so anywhere vaguely central is good for me. Of the suggestions, Newcastle is best for me, but obviously if that is difficult for others, I can get to Durham centre as well. Anywhere on the metro system is ideal though, I get get a bus to the nearest metro from the end of our road, and the metro is easy peasy to use

UnanimousAnonymous · 22/10/2009 12:20

Hi, I'm here. I can do most days, but not next wed as getting the boys photos done (ILs like a framed pic for xmas).
I'm coming from Chester if anyone needs a lift anywhere.

Indith · 22/10/2009 13:36

Ok so how about the Discovery museum then? Good fun, free and plenty of scope for lunch afterwards.

Tuesday 27th at 10?

Sign up and keep it bumped.
