Would anyone be up for it?

Could it be arranged somewhere in the middle of the country?

And would Carrie and Justine be interested?

unless there is a strictly adults part to the meet ( and i can't see how that would work) i wouldn't come along as the prospect of spending time with otherpeoples screaming brats puts me off ! sorry!

serenity · 08/04/2005 17:00

Could be fun! I'll keep an eye on this thread.

nutcracker · 08/04/2005 17:02

Actually am not gonna take any of my kids now, cos i won't enjoy it as much then.

lilibet · 08/04/2005 17:05

I'm up for it - but if we are staying in travelodges we will need to pair up for double rooms - adn I don't want to be with anyone who is gorgeous or energetic in the morning!

Newbarnsleygirl · 11/04/2005 07:57

Excellent, lots and lots of mnetters!

I originally thought without the children but it could be an alternative for those who cannot make it without them and can't stop over.

I also thought that York, Manchester or Leeds might be a better location if those from Scotland are to come. What do you all think?

How is everyone set date wise for August?

nailpolish · 11/04/2005 08:02

errr, excuse me? birmingham is central??? thank you caligula and NBG, for remembering about us up here. i think there are lots of us up here in scotland, and if you look at the map, halfway between aberdeen or wherever, and london, it is not midlands

Newbarnsleygirl · 11/04/2005 08:05

OK then who votes for either

York, Leeds or Manchester?

OP posts:
SeaShells · 11/04/2005 08:20

I'd try to make it, without kids though. Depends on when it is really. I could do York best of all as it's on east coast mainline, probably be able to make it to Leeds and Manchester too but abit more difficult to get to, without a car.

Ronniebaby · 11/04/2005 16:23

I'll bow out gracefully then.

Manchester/Leeds maybe, but not York

FastasleepTheInsomniac · 11/04/2005 16:24

Go oooon make it Manchester!

Titania · 11/04/2005 16:30

I would love to go too but would be easier if it was somewhere like birmingham

Gwenick · 11/04/2005 16:34

I'd love to go - having lived in Edinburgh for a while - I'd say that Birmingham is probably the easiest place to get to from ALL parts of the country.

I doubt I'd be able to come if I couldn't bring the kids though............

FastasleepTheInsomniac · 11/04/2005 16:35

I have to go on the train...and I've never been to Birmingham...I'd only dare if MTS came with me! If it was in the day I'd have to bring my little one..unless it was a weekend

Gwenick · 11/04/2005 16:37

I@ve never actually 'been' to Birmingham, but changed on the train and passed through on the train...........and there's 'direct' trains from 'most' parts of the country - and buses. Not to mention the motorways all close by.

FastasleepTheInsomniac · 11/04/2005 16:44

I agree it's probably a good place...but my map reading skills are legendary lol would have to go with someone else, couldn't be stuck lost in Brum!

serenity · 11/04/2005 16:51

If it was a non kid one, I'd have room to give lifts from London. It would be nice to have company!

Tortington · 11/04/2005 19:50

if it was a none kids one i could do a pick up in brighton if anyone wants a lift.

Newbarnsleygirl · 11/04/2005 20:57

What about Sheffield then? It's probably an extra 60 miles south of York and will be good for train connections.

OP posts:
Gobbledigook · 11/04/2005 21:14

NO, what about Manchester? It's very central and like Brum is on the M6, Victoria and Picadilly stns in the centre, soooo easy to get to and has the advantage of being home to Old Trafford
