I would come depending on when it is?

I could make the 7th of Feb or 7th March if it was a bit later?

aGalChangedHerName · 04/01/2009 12:39

Would March be better? Gives a chance to save some cash for the shops

nailpolish · 04/01/2009 13:35

yes i vote for March 7th

Me too, please!! I can't offer any suggestions about places to eat, as I don't know Glasgow well enough, but am more than willing to undertake reconnaisance if necessary. [self-sacrificing emoticon]

I'd love to come but it's DS2's birthday the 6th, so we'll be busy that weekend.

Will catch you all on the next meetup

liath · 06/01/2009 08:13

Hi girls, I don't think I'll be making it this time but can I hijack quickly and ask nailpolish how CP was over Christmas? If it was any good I'd be seriously thinking of pursuading DH to go next year as xmas with my family was pretty crap TBH. Cheers.

nailpolish · 06/01/2009 09:48

liath it was fantastic
we are going to book to go again this xmas
we had such a fun time - we didnt do many of the activities jsut chilled and had a good laugh together
we were very lucky with the weather - not a drop of rain - very cold but we wrapped up and went on nature trails and pony riding - swimming every day - swimming in the outdorr pool at -3 is brilliant!
it was really xmassy - lots of fairy lights everywhere - we had a massive 6ft real xmas tree in the lodge and with the log fire it was lovely
we didnt eat out on xmas day - it was £40 ofr adults and £20 for children on xmas day - but we ate out on the last night there and had lunch a couple of times at the lakeside inn - which was very xmassy with loads of decorations etc etc etc

id recommend it

oh yes def go with the one that includes breakfast
ive neve stayed at the madonald one - but ive stayed at the grosvener - it was cosy and a bit more old fashioned iyswim - i like that kind of thing - esp in winter - have a lovely time!!!
ps quite near the grosvener is a brilliant indian restaurant called the cavalry club - if you are looking for somewhere
PLUS the grosvener is right across the road from haymarket - very handy if you are getting the train

mawbroon · 06/01/2009 12:50

Prob will be able to make most weekends. My diary is always blank
