that does look nice naily.

We are not there for long and only need an early tea on the Saturday and lunch on the sunday, but i am sure we can fit it in somewhere.

prettybird · 16/01/2009 11:10

Betty's is great. Their Brown Bread icecream is fab.

Rhumba · 19/01/2009 14:10

hi did make the edinburgh Christmas one as way busy that night but count me in for this one assuming it's still on

prettybird · 20/01/2009 00:21

Yes it is still on: it's just that 7 March is a long time away!

Rhumba · 20/01/2009 20:38

Hi PB obviously that was meant to say didn't make the christmas one but as usual didn't bother previewing. How are you?

MrsMuddle · 20/01/2009 21:03

Ladies, I'm cancelling. It's my friend's 40th that weekend, so I'm going to London to see her! Hadn't realised till I looked at my diary earlier.

Hope to make the next one!

dizzydixies · 20/01/2009 21:14

me please?!?!

will try my best and look into coming

frasersmummy · 20/01/2009 21:44

I cant do meet up but some local knowledge for you

science centre is not very central and not easy to reach by public transport from city centre and it is expensive £8.50 for adults and approx £6 for kids

kelvingrove is free (as are all Glasgow museums). and my 3 year old loves it. The food in the restaurant is lovely for adults and kids and I am pretty sure its licenced.
The subway runs from the city centre to close by.
Accross the road from Kelvingrove you will find the transport museum. Huge steam trains, horse and carts, lots of old cars a reconstructed street complete with cinema showing cartoons and the highlight of a toddler visit.. the balamory bus

anything else you wanna know just shout

dizzydixies · 20/01/2009 22:32

agree completely re science centre, not great at all

if I manage to come I'll have to bring at least DD3 but she's only 24wks so hopefully won't be an issue

frasersmummy where abouts are you from with all this local jen!?!

Greatsweetkittyothepuddingrace · 20/01/2009 22:33

oh dizzy you MUST come now, I thought it would be too far from you.

dizzydixies · 20/01/2009 22:39

not at all, I'm glasgow way all the time as my dad etc all live out past the airport and my aunts far side of EK

the only issue I have with it is that DH is late shift on the Fri and that could finish at 2am or go on till 4am (never know when its the weekend) and it wouldn't be fair to leave him with the dc on Sat when he's to start again at 9pm that night

will see what I can do though and if not I shall meet you in strathclyde park or the transport museum some other time

Greatsweetkittyothepuddingrace · 20/01/2009 22:43

aww hope you can make it, I am planning to leave DP will all 3, you could drop yours off to I'm sure he wouldn't mind another 3 or if your bringing DD3 I'll bring mine they can coo at each other.

dizzydixies · 20/01/2009 22:46

rofl, I can just see his face if he ended up with all 6!!!

I can't get my sodding hotmail/msm to work btw - not sure whats going on with that

frasersmummy · 21/01/2009 08:18

I live round the corner from braehead and xscape

so toddler friendly activities in Glasgow and the surrounding areas are my area of expertise..

dizzydixies · 21/01/2009 21:56

was there today!! in Ikea spending some credit money on a few things

although I'm north east now I'm originally from further down the M8 than that

Greatsweetkittyothepuddingrace · 21/01/2009 21:58

You went to Ikea and you never invited me!!!

What were you buying?

There antilop highchairs are fab no crevices for food to get trapped in.

dizzydixies · 21/01/2009 22:20

we have one of those for DD2 at my aunts house and I love it, DD1 and DD2 have trip traps for here but will pinch back high chair for DD3 soon

was only buying shelves and photo frames - all very boring stuff

nailpolish · 26/01/2009 09:24

so who is stil coming to this then

OP posts:
Stayingsunnygirl · 26/01/2009 09:30

Me.

And I'm happy to meet up at Braehead/Ikea/Xscape anytime [shopping tart emoticon]. Toddlers in the ball pond, short retail mooch then meatballs and chips all round anyone?

nailpolish · 26/01/2009 09:34

ok i dont think ill come if soft play/ball pits are involved

OP posts:
nailpolish · 26/01/2009 09:37

also, im getting the train so braehead is too much of a fanny-about

OP posts:
prettybird · 26/01/2009 10:22

I'm coming: although like NP, I think I'd prefer sometihng slightly more adult.

Stayingsunnygirl · 26/01/2009 13:34

Ohhh sorry - I wasn't suggesting Braehead for the Glasgow lunch meet-up - I was just wondering if anyone would like to meet up there sometime. Sorry to have confused the issue.

prettybird · 26/01/2009 15:47

Don't worry!

Stayingsunnygirl · 26/01/2009 16:24

Trouble is, I'm way too good at worrying! And if I've got nothing to worry about, I'll just worry that I've forgotten something important.

Still - 'tis important to have a life-skill!
