hiccymapops · 24/11/2008 16:41

Hello

Hope all the little ones are feeling better xxx

We had a practice run at putting the birthing pool up last night, and Mark kept asking why i'd got the giggles, in huge letters at the bottom of the pool it said 'Strictly no diving'!!!! Damn it, i was looking forward to that in labour

We went to Xplore again this morning Wot, it really is nice there. I thought i'd better make the most of getting out and about with Ben while we can This morning all he wanted to do was get chased though, i was shattered (and had a man looking at me very worryingly while i panted and held my bump )

Hope everyone's okay

wotulookinat · 24/11/2008 16:56

Hi Hiccy. DS is fine - just a cold and runny nose.
I can imagine you standing there after chasing Ben At least it'd be an ok place to give birth - plenty of mothers to help you!

ToThrottleablackbird · 24/11/2008 17:52

Well, I ended up taking dd to A&E cos there were no doctors at the surgery

She deff has hf&m

at no diving

Phoenix · 24/11/2008 17:59

Have they given her drops?

OP posts:
ToThrottleablackbird · 24/11/2008 18:02

No Phoenix, the doctor said there is nothing they can give her. They just treat it as a virus like the cold or chicken pox (unless the spots get infected)

ToThrottleablackbird · 24/11/2008 18:03

So, when are we going to have this night out? Shall I suggest a date???

5th Dec?? Barnsley town centre?

Phoenix · 24/11/2008 18:53

Sorry Blackbird i got it wrong ds didn't have drops for hf&m. I think i was getting mixed up from when he had oral thrush. (I just trawled through loads of old threads to find that out )

OP posts:
ToThrottleablackbird · 24/11/2008 19:03

I suppose a good thing as come out of this, dd cant suck on her dummy beacuse it is too painful, she hasnt had a day time dummy for months now so it might be a good idea to get rid of the night time one too.

Phoenix, how are you feeling?

ToThrottleablackbird · 24/11/2008 19:05

Or would the 12th be better for everyone??

Phoenix · 24/11/2008 19:08

I wish Lewis would stop with his dummy. He's getting worse not better. And i just give in and give it to him when he starts whinging, for a quiet life . I'm fine ta. Apart from feeling sick nearly all day long. Serves me right for having such a perfect pg last time

OP posts:
wotulookinat · 24/11/2008 19:10

We're going backwards with the dummy too, Phoenix. I'm not too fussed - it makes my life easier and has helped to stop some bad tantrums.
Blackbird, try getting rid of the dumdums, but keep them in the back of a cupboard somewhere - you ever know!

hiccymapops · 24/11/2008 20:27

My friends little boy is 2.5, and he's got worse with his dummy too, it must be a thing at their age.

Phoenix keep snacking, it really helps.

wotulookinat · 24/11/2008 20:43

Ginger biscuits, isn't it?

Well if dummy helps to avoid tantrums then it's ok by me! Except he keeps biting them and making holes in them.
