Oh thank you

Once i finish work i'll be going to plenty of soft play places because i can't be stuck in listening to Lewis' questions all day long lol. He never shuts up .

We gave all Lewis' clothes away to one of dh's friends cos i was sick of seeing piles and piles of clothes that didn't fit him. This baby will be our last too i think so as clothes/equipment is no longer needed it will be going to the charity shop or something then we'll have space in our house

Well you're welcome to come over and watch Dennis digging up my potatoes in the garden when you stop work!!

Phoenix · 05/04/2009 20:33

I'll be up for any invitations when i stop work

I can't wait to finish work but i think i'll be fed up after a week lol. This pregnancy is going so slow.

Good, I could do with some adult conversation (as long as you don't ask 'who's that?' every five minutes!)

Phoenix · 05/04/2009 20:51

Oh i could deal with 'who's that?' on its own.

We get

What's that lady/mister doing?
Why is that car going down there?
Where are they going?
What are they doing?
What colour is it?
and many many more

OP posts:
Phoenix · 05/04/2009 20:53

What does that do?
What is that dog/cat/horses etc name?

There's loads more i can't think of them.

He starts asking questions the second he gets up and i know that's how they learn but my god........

OP posts:
wotulookinat · 05/04/2009 20:54

Arrrrggggghhhhhh!!!!!
So it's going to get worse, I guess.
We also have 'where's Daddy's cat?' accompanied by searching under the beds.
The worst is 'where's Mummy's car?' I guess he didn't understand the repossession!!!!
Has Lewis ever called a woman a man?

Phoenix · 05/04/2009 20:57

OMG yes in the doctors last week a woman with short hair came in and he said 'mummy what that lady doing?' So i said she's come to see the doctor and then he studied a bit and said 'mummy is that a lady or a mister' She was stood right in front of us i could have died

Oh no - I dread that happening. My mum says that when I was little I pointed out that a man on the bus had a REALLY big nose. And I once laughed for ages at someone with Down Syndrome. I was only about 2 when the latter happened though.

Knickers0nMaHead · 06/04/2009 09:39

Morning everyone.

Phoenix · 06/04/2009 09:42

Hi knickers, how are you?

Hello again

Ben's not really at the asking questions stage yet, but he points out every car he sees, 'blue car mummy, white car mummy, nee naw car mummy (anything with lights on)' and if i forget to acknowledge him, he'll keep repeating it. Not tiring at all when driving

It drove me a bit mad when i finished work, i really missed it at first. Now i've finally accepted my fate as a full time mummy and even had a clear out upstairs and chucked out loads of work stuff. I'm a bit gutted as there must have been at least £250 worth of make up, but it'll all be out of date now, Ben's nearly 3! I've decided i'll have to have a career change when they're both at school full time, i'm considering a dinner lady so i only work when they're at school

Hope everyone's okay

wotulookinat · 06/04/2009 15:22

What did you do before, Hiccy?
A friend from my work dropped off boxes and boxes of my work stuff last week -God knows what I am going to do with it all. I suspect most of it will go into the recycler.

hiccymapops · 06/04/2009 15:24

Hiya Wot

I'm a make up artist.

Have you got sorted with work now then? Have you officially finished?

wotulookinat · 06/04/2009 15:32

Nearly! They had a meeting about me the week before last. My union went to represent me because I didn't feel like I could go. They have decided on an amount of severence pay, based on my continuous service, and I am just waiting for my union's legal team to check the documents before I sign - and then it's all over I guess.

I didn't know you were a make-up artist. If I'd have known I would have got ideas from you - I have all but stopped wearing make up now, and I used to wear loads. Where did you work? (tell me to stop being nosy if you like!)

hiccymapops · 06/04/2009 16:09

I'm glad it's nearly sorted Wot, i bet you'll be relieved.

I worked all over really, i was self employed so i did a lot of freelance work with photographers. I worked for Olan Mills, Girls on film and Covershots now and then. Feels like a lifetime ago now! I never used to leave the house without make up, look at me now! Mark said i'm no longer the woman he married He actually describes my post children look as 'chavvy'

wotulookinat · 06/04/2009 16:20

You're certainly not chavvy!
