Right, so some voting (for dates), and some venue checking has been done, and Me n NappiesGalore have made executive organising planning decisions (based on us having little time and few options )

Saturday 22nd November

Dust Bar (website here)

Nearest Tube Station - Farringdon

It will be canapes, so if you want more food, eat beforehand.

The canapes are being chosen for us - they will be clearly labelled as meat, fish, veg and will allergy advice.

The music we can bring a dj, ipod with playlist set up or have music piped up (music is a very varied mix so should suit everyone). We can use any/all of those options.

Music is quieter at bar end, plus we will have volume control.

They have some fabulous sounding shots

Price will be £20 per head max. I will phone tomorrow to find out when they need final numbers for food etc, and when we have a more accurate numbers list, I can work out the right cost - it WILL NOT be more than £20. If we end up paying more than is needed, then obviously I will buy a new dress divide it up and refund people OR put it behind the bar - whatever you think is best.

How's it all sound?

Question. If this place is over 21's, what about those MNers who are under 21 - will they be able to attend as it's a private booking?

Report
POTC · 09/09/2008 19:21

And can you make the deadline a bit later and get MNHQ to make this a sticky? I think the reason you've not got many signed up is that those of us that only get on for a few minutes at a time might miss this being in Active Convos?

im a first-timer too!!!

But, i have met POTC before and she is my chauffer!!!

Report
psychomum5 · 09/09/2008 20:40

I was a first timer last year, and I had not been on MN for about 6mths previous either due to RL calling!!!

I did go with flame, who is my best RL friend anyway, plus two others who I had met for the first time that day, and yes, it was scary, and I was not able to drink for medication reasons which made it scarier....

but, you know what.....

I loved it, and spoke to loads of people, and then nappies came and thrust alcohol at me and told me I would be fine (I was), and she is now a good RL friend also.....and I have been on MN ever since (altho DH does not think that such a good thing).

I am friendly

and I am gonna wear a badge so everyone knows who I am

Report
psychomum5 · 09/09/2008 20:41

I got mine stolen borrowed by marsy last year
