Right, so some voting (for dates), and some venue checking has been done, and Me n NappiesGalore have made executive organising planning decisions (based on us having little time and few options )

Saturday 22nd November

Dust Bar (website here)

Nearest Tube Station - Farringdon

It will be canapes, so if you want more food, eat beforehand.

The canapes are being chosen for us - they will be clearly labelled as meat, fish, veg and will allergy advice.

The music we can bring a dj, ipod with playlist set up or have music piped up (music is a very varied mix so should suit everyone). We can use any/all of those options.

Music is quieter at bar end, plus we will have volume control.

They have some fabulous sounding shots

Price will be £20 per head max. I will phone tomorrow to find out when they need final numbers for food etc, and when we have a more accurate numbers list, I can work out the right cost - it WILL NOT be more than £20. If we end up paying more than is needed, then obviously I will buy a new dress divide it up and refund people OR put it behind the bar - whatever you think is best.

How's it all sound?

ooohhh, I don't know! Part of me wants to come and part of me thinks EEK! Haven't been into London for aaaages and am a bit wussy about meeting lots of new people for the first time... - plus not sure if DS will be too happy about it...ooo, I'll think about it and get back to you....

Ah yes, tis not a meetup. Def more of a pre-christmas hootenany

Oh, and no need to worry about being internet saddos, we didn't mention the internet at all to this guy, and even without that he reassured us it was an over 21s place for late 20s & upwards, so "not for youngsters"

We didn't hit him

Date is not changing, so book away! I will be booking today when I have either found my credit card or called NappiesGalore to use hers

The indignation was more to do with it being MRM who cut me off!!

Janni - if you copy and paste the list into the message box, then you can type your name at the bottom (copy = highlight with the cursor, then Ctrl and c together; paste = Ctrl and v - sorry if TMI)

they did indeed check out places, and the review is that the shots looked amazing at dust, so that one won!!!

For an actual review - Canal was v nice, but too small for the amount we could afford - the larger room was a bigger risk for minimum spend.

Dust - V nice, lots of control over it, easy to find.

Farringdon is a pita to get to though, for all involved. So note for next year, choose somewhere on a well connected/reliable tube!
