Right, so some voting (for dates), and some venue checking has been done, and Me n NappiesGalore have made executive organising planning decisions (based on us having little time and few options )

Saturday 22nd November

Dust Bar (website here)

Nearest Tube Station - Farringdon

It will be canapes, so if you want more food, eat beforehand.

The canapes are being chosen for us - they will be clearly labelled as meat, fish, veg and will allergy advice.

The music we can bring a dj, ipod with playlist set up or have music piped up (music is a very varied mix so should suit everyone). We can use any/all of those options.

Music is quieter at bar end, plus we will have volume control.

They have some fabulous sounding shots

Price will be £20 per head max. I will phone tomorrow to find out when they need final numbers for food etc, and when we have a more accurate numbers list, I can work out the right cost - it WILL NOT be more than £20. If we end up paying more than is needed, then obviously I will buy a new dress divide it up and refund people OR put it behind the bar - whatever you think is best.

How's it all sound?

Please sign up FOR THIS DATE AND VENUE here:

Oh bollocky bollock

I have been trying to buy a sodding train ticket this weeks.

Talk about confusion

I need a ticket from Bath spa to Paddington and a zone 1 rail card.

all return

Not much to bloody ask is it?

Fucking websites.

Keeps telling me that Yes! the ticket is 30 quid all in. Then it tells me I need to pay a fiver for a railcard. Then it tells me that the fiver is just for the outward journey

I will be walking at this rate

Flamesparrow · 06/11/2008 08:27

I would help if I knew the teeniest bit about trains & London StGeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeorge!!!!!!!!!!v bbbbbbbbbbbbbb

SheikYerbouti · 06/11/2008 08:30

StG sent me a link about a month ago for chep train fares, but even that is confusing the feck out of me.

I never get the train. This is probably why.

I would drive, but I am a poof

theSuburbanDryad · 06/11/2008 08:31

oooooooooh

V excited now.

theSuburbanDryad · 06/11/2008 08:33

Sheik - go to www.thetrainline.com and buy a ticket from Bath Spa to London Zone 1, that should cover you for the Tube then.

morningpaper · 06/11/2008 11:24

I can't find a return train ticket from Taunton to Paddington for less than 57 quid

Did I leave it too late? bastards!

SheikYerbouti · 06/11/2008 11:28

How easy is it for you to get to Bath MP? A return from Bath to Paddington is about 30 quid. (I think)

morningpaper · 06/11/2008 11:45

Bath is a PITA because you have to change at bristol for most of them

AHHHH never mind I will have to fork out the 57, I'm sure it was only about 22 lsat year

the first class is 256!

whoops · 06/11/2008 11:47

morningpaper · 06/11/2008 11:48

Flamesparrow · 06/11/2008 16:17

Where are you coming from Sheik?

OP posts:
SheikYerbouti · 06/11/2008 16:24

From Bath flamey

It looks like it would be easier to get to Dartford via Siberia

Flamesparrow · 06/11/2008 16:25

Right. We will sort this. Would you car share with a stranger?

OP posts:
Flamesparrow · 06/11/2008 16:27

My thinking is get you somewhere else and then car share iyswim. It might be a bit of a random route, but I wonder if there is anywhere we can get you to and then pick you up en route from Romsey
