Right, so some voting (for dates), and some venue checking has been done, and Me n NappiesGalore have made executive organising planning decisions (based on us having little time and few options )

Saturday 22nd November

Dust Bar (website here)

Nearest Tube Station - Farringdon

It will be canapes, so if you want more food, eat beforehand.

The canapes are being chosen for us - they will be clearly labelled as meat, fish, veg and will allergy advice.

The music we can bring a dj, ipod with playlist set up or have music piped up (music is a very varied mix so should suit everyone). We can use any/all of those options.

Music is quieter at bar end, plus we will have volume control.

They have some fabulous sounding shots

Price will be £20 per head max. I will phone tomorrow to find out when they need final numbers for food etc, and when we have a more accurate numbers list, I can work out the right cost - it WILL NOT be more than £20. If we end up paying more than is needed, then obviously I will buy a new dress divide it up and refund people OR put it behind the bar - whatever you think is best.

How's it all sound?

That's my issue with it going behind the bar too. I won't be drinking and only drink small amounts of soft drinks so would be unlikely to get my money back if it goes behind the bar. I realise it's more work but unless you can come up with some kind of fair system would rather have it refunded after the event.

Anybody seen JARM? Need to check she's still coming!

At the rate we are going with people signing up and paying, no-one is getting any money back and I am still going to be heavily out of pocket

I am working on a fair way to do this, you're all just going to have to give me time to work everything out and there probably won't be a definitive answer until the closing date for paying.

Should we restart the list again of who is coming, and put payed by our names stating 'payed' or not.....might make it easier then to see who has paid and who still needs to, and also, if someone sends payment and forgets to identify, Flame can at least come here to clarify any she is unsure of........

Money.

We have a £1200 minimum. I am going to have to do it so that the rest of your £20s are spent at the venue. Most likely in the form of everyone getting vouchers from me as they arrive.

Non-drinkers, if you don't plan on spending your voucher (which tbh with London prices will probably cover a couple of lemonades), you can always sell it to the drinkers and get your cash back that way. You will all get an equal share, what you do with it is up to you. I have no doubt though that the drinkers will be ok with buying it off the non-drinkers etc.

I cannot give a decent answer on how much people will get back until I get firm numbers and payments from people - for all I know half the people on the list have emigrated.
