Right, so some voting (for dates), and some venue checking has been done, and Me n NappiesGalore have made executive organising planning decisions (based on us having little time and few options )

Saturday 22nd November

Dust Bar (website here)

Nearest Tube Station - Farringdon

It will be canapes, so if you want more food, eat beforehand.

The canapes are being chosen for us - they will be clearly labelled as meat, fish, veg and will allergy advice.

The music we can bring a dj, ipod with playlist set up or have music piped up (music is a very varied mix so should suit everyone). We can use any/all of those options.

Music is quieter at bar end, plus we will have volume control.

Price will be £20 per head max. I will phone tomorrow to find out when they need final numbers for food etc, and when we have a more accurate numbers list, I can work out the right cost - it WILL NOT be more than £20. If we end up paying more than is needed, then obviously I will buy a new dress divide it up and refund people OR put it behind the bar - whatever you think is best.

It's only just up the road from me...am I too late to sign up? I have been to previous Xmas meet-ups (back when I was Dinosaur) and I don't think I ever disgraced myself - but didn't really feel like it last year as I was still finding it very hard to come to terms with how DS3 is...

Mhamhi - I need the money up front tbh. This is all on my neck, and I can't risk it. If I let one person, then everyone will want to bring it on the night and I spend my time pissing about with money and/or ending up in sh*t with the bill.

I was wondering about the behind bar thing as there are going to be a mix of people that can and can't drink alcohol will there be a fair way of ensuring people actually get a fair amount of drink?
As if there was say £10 per head for the canape's some people that weren't drinking could get all their drinks for £10 (yes I probably am thinking out of London prices!)
I don't want to cause problems but think there does need to be a way to make sure it isn't an expensive night for some

I have an idea to sort that. I will speak to flamey about it later, have to dash to work now.
