Hi, is there anyone from the Corby area of Northants? I saw a Northants topic but everyone was from Wellingborough, so I was wondering if there was anyone closer?

Bloody workmen! I hope they sort it out quickly. Ihad hassle with one changing a door split the door architrave and scratched half the paint of it so i complained lol. I want to go kettering campus to do a childcare course but cant find one thats part time starting i september Hope your course goes well.
Either of those days are fine with me i think somewhere near town would be best but i cant think of where would be best with the different ages of the kids.
I so what to go out tonight but struggling finding someone whos going or wants to go out.

lol, I know the feeling. we've come to my mums for the wekend so that we can go out for my birthday tonight, and dh doesn't really want to go but he will just cos its my birthday tomorrow, and he'll make the night totally miserable where he's not up for it! So its hardly worth going!
it is hard to find good part time courses, i'm lucky that my one is 2 evenings a week for 2 years, so I'll be finished when Oscar's ready for school.
I don't know kettering really, only know the dentists, lol, so I'll have to leave you to think of somewhere!

Hope you havbe a good night. He might enjoy himself when hes actually out. Happy birthday for tomorrow. Managed to get someone to go out so got a bit of a rush to get josh bathed and ready for bed and myself bathed and sorted for 8 so i can get to mums n then to town hehe.
I surpose we could meet on Newlands Street and then work something out from there if we havent decided on something before then

hi ya soz had a hectic day yesterday so couldnt get on the net. newlands street is where argos and wilkinsons are in kettering.

i went over to my mates for a few hours and had a drink and kebab which i should really have done as want lose weight but ah sod it eh! i can do tuesday if thats ok with u 2 at 12.30 !

thats fine by me. well, I've got brown scruffy shoulder length hair and I'll be the one with the little boy screaming his head off in the pushchair and lucy will have a pink flowery coat if the weather's cold. glad you both had a good night. I'm always trying to lose weight, but chocolate and takeaways mean it never happens!!

Its not a daft question at all. Ill have a aqua n brown pram n josh'll have a blue checked coat on. If he lives that long that is think somebody's having an early night.

Shell or Shelley depends on whos speaking to me im not bothered either way. Its great when they fall asleep themselves. I used to just put josh down in his cot if you carry on putting him in his cot awake hell get used to it and settle himself.

I've got my internet back early, yippee! Hope your lo is ok Samie I've been thinking of you too. It was nice meeting up yesterday. We'll have to do it again soon.

Dh quit his job yesterday so I'm really stressed. Why do men do such stupid things?! Now we're stuck with no money, and I've got him in the house all day driving me mad.

Ahh bless her. Thats rally sweet. I dont know would love the answer to that though. He'll have to find another 1 pretty quick as i dont think he can get JSA as he quit. I hope you manage to get things sorted.

They've told him he can only start claiming benefits in 'exceptional circumstances'after quitting, but they've given him an appointment for next week so we'll have to wait and see. He's out now going round some agencies trying to get something, but I'm just furious. I could've strangled him last night, and now he's having a go at me for walking around looking moody and upset!! Aargh!! Anyway hope you and Josh are ok.

Well if you dont think his reason(s) for quitting werent good enough your going to be like that. You'll be worrying about supporting yourselves. I hope he manages get something on an agency. Theres quite a few in kettering aswell he could sign on a lot of them you have tomake an appointment to do that.
Josh and i are fine thanks, how are you all apart from that?

We're fine, just bored. Lucy's upset because she wants to go to nursery and she just doesn't understand why there has to be holidays. Dh did have good reasons, but I can't see why he didn't stay another couple of weeks until he had another job lined up. The only good thing about having him around is that he can take us places, so I'll force him out to the park or somewhere when he gets back.

Ahhh bless her no doubt when shes bigger shell be looking forward to the school holidays. Ye i would have said exactly the same about getting a new job first, if he was really annoyed at the time over something he could have just thought about the there and then and getting out of it.
The job section is in the et tonight so that might be worth a look.

Things are looking a bit better as an agency can get him a call centre job starting 21st. Not ideal, but it'll be money at least! We've been down East Carlton Park which the kids loved, and then to Telford Lodge, which was really good for their ages. I'd definitely go there again.
