Hi, is there anyone from the Corby area of Northants? I saw a Northants topic but everyone was from Wellingborough, so I was wondering if there was anyone closer?

That's so sweet. Oscar doesn't like hugs, but he will go and kiss everyone when he's in a good mood.

It depends on his mood he gives boys hugs but more often than not its girls he tries to hug. Well he takes after his dad for that just hope he dont go as far as his dad and that the rest of his traits are ore like mine. Thatmust sound awful but i have my reasons.

samiestresure · 01/04/2008 21:24

hey katyliz yeah they had them in glass fridges where u can see them and also in vending machines!!! its great not!!! i suppose they have ta get there money somehow but i always used to take a fruitshoot wiv me and when asked for one... ta da... i had one in every colour she could want. its just a nightmare luggin it all about. but its nice and padded am not sure if its simialar to cheeky monkeys as have not bin there yet. i am still gettin used to kids places in this area i moved here in 2001 from kent and have just started paying attention to play areas.
shelleylou hope the kids are feeling much better now its a nasty bug that is going round.xx

shelleylou · 01/04/2008 21:28

ye he is thanks samie eating a bit and drinking nearly normal like there wasnt a risk to him lol.
I must be lucky ds will drink what hes given (usually)

KatyLiz · 01/04/2008 22:56

shelley, are you not with his dad anymore then?
It drives me crazy that they leave all the drinks where the kids can see it, I've always assumed you're not allowed to take your own drinks in, but I probably should. From what I've heard kids kingdom is a lot bigger than cheeky monkees, but I think it's more expensive too! Cheekys is good for the littler kids. Samie, what part of Kent are you from, my dh is from kent and he misses it so badly, he finds it really dull around here in comparison!

No im not havent beenn officially since ds was bout 10 months but was more like from when he was 7. His dad werent aruound. Im hoping that Josh will grow up knowing what responsibility is now and wont shirk away from it like his dad. I know i have faults to but ive got being sensible responsible etc on my side.

KatyLiz · 01/04/2008 23:12

It sounds like you're better off without him then. I'm sure Josh'll grow up fine, it's your example he'll follow as you're the one bringing him up.

OP posts:
shelleylou · 01/04/2008 23:18

Yes i am at the moment josh is without him aswell hes lost his job (again) so cant see him, thats his loss not mine. Im close to my family and they all dote on him so he has strong male role models in my dad and brothers. My little mans happy and healthy so thats all that matters.

KatyLiz · 02/04/2008 06:12

That must be nice, I'm not really close to my family. My sister lives five mins away and I've only seen her twice in six months. And everyone else lives miles away.
I'm so tired! I've got my college interview this morning and I've only had 4 hours sleep. Oscar is such a bad sleeper, he woke up at 3.45am this morning.

shelleylou · 02/04/2008 10:46

I go mums every week so usually see them all dont let his dad pick him up from mine. Hope your interview goes well. I had about 3 hours sleep the other night it wasnt good slept well last night cos oif it though. Hopefully Oscar will behave while you get things done.

samiestresure · 02/04/2008 19:45

hi ya ladies hope ur interview went well katyliz wot is it u r going to college to do?
well i think i am lucky cause i am living wiv my mum at the moment as me and little mans dad split up in november before he was born so.
but am still havin problems wiv his dad as he wants to get back together but i refused cause i swear he is a pathelogical liar!!!!
But my mum and younger sisters are a great support but they leave me to it for nitetime as he is very talkitive in his sleep bless him.
i am from chatham in kent and i know wot ur dh means i miss it like crazy but its all changed there now. i hate living in a village i wanna b in the towns again but cant afford anythin rite now. its great

shelleylou · 02/04/2008 20:14

my sons a november baby too lol. Its good that you have the support of your mum and sisters makes it easier.

samiestresure · 02/04/2008 20:32

yup it has helped so much as he is a little handful he is 14 weeks and so active compared to eveyone elses babys. sorry he was born xmas day but split up wiv his dad in november how old is ur babe x

shelleylou · 02/04/2008 21:07

ahh thats a lovely age relatively dependant but starting to learn new things. Best christmas present ever i bet. Hes Nearly 17 months an early birthday present for me lol.

samiestresure · 03/04/2008 09:17

ahh bless him they r so nice at that age unless they have hit the terible twos by then. well logan is into everything already he is constantely on the go ah god help me once he knows how to walk i got him a baby walker as his easter egg(its a very expensive egg) and he already knows how to walk in it which is scary. it was a great xmas present kinda!!! he was 13 days late i had to b induced FOUR times and then end up having a emergency c section at 2am so could move on xmas day but at least i had morphin not that i noticed to much

shelleylou · 03/04/2008 11:52

Josh was 3 days late and that drove me crazy worked out he was born 5 weeks exactly b4 my 21st lol. It may be expensive but they are worth it means you knw hes safe so you can go make a drink or something. Think i paid £45 for 1, still got it though well its sitting in a cupbaord not being used.

samiestresure · 03/04/2008 12:44

yeah i was ready for him to cum 3 wks before he was due but i had to wait an extra 2 weeks!!! yeah i went over to toys r us and got him one for 40 quid the ones that are static are so much more expensive considering they stay in the same place.
oh have just taken him baby massage oh he was a pest only done one leg and he started cryin as he wanted to look at the other babys and not lay on the floor bless him so i got covered in head to toe in baby oil great!! ut i think he had fun bein nosey.

shelleylou · 03/04/2008 13:46

the static ones are more like sit/stand in play centres to me not walkers. Lovely, i dont like the feelof baby oil for some reason. I think he might have done, if he can move he isnt going to want to stay still.

samiestresure · 03/04/2008 19:30

oh its just great fun though eh at moment he is actually asleep in his own bed amazing but dunno if he wil stay asleep though i hope so i have bin invited to go out for a bit in kettering so mum is gonna watch him for a couple of hours so i will enjoy while i have the chance x hope everyone is ok today

shelleylou · 03/04/2008 19:55

KatyLiz · 05/04/2008 14:07

hi again, my internet connection is gone, so I haven't been on in days. workmen have severed our phone cables, and they won't be fixing it til next Friday, which is totally useless!! I'm only on now cos I'm at my mums for the weekend.
glad Josh is better now. I'm going to tresham kettering campus to do an access course to get into uni in 2 years time.
I can do tuesday or wednesday next week? You too are the opposite of me, with Oscar getting up at 4am its practically evening for us by 12.30 lol!
I need it to be somewhere I can get a bus to!
