DixiePixie · 25/02/2008 22:50

Ooh - cross posts

Desi you gorgeous person, that is so lovely and generous of you. I'm crap at accepting things off people though . I'm sure I'm not the only one of us on a budget. I could probably drag some money together - just I'm a SAHM and trying to set up a business at the mo, so have to justify it out of the household budget. Need to have a chat with DH about it all.

I'm getting more and more tempted at the going out idea - need to have a serious think!

DixiePixie · 25/02/2008 22:54

Course I remember you PixelHerder. How could I forget any detail of tupperwaregate?!

PussinJimmyChoos · 25/02/2008 22:56

TupperwareGate!!!!

PixelHerder · 25/02/2008 22:58

Desi - I note from your profile that like myself you are a lady of more mature years - I think we are therefore beholden to set a bad example to the tupperware purloining youth of today whilst out on the town.

PussinJimmyChoos · 25/02/2008 23:04

Pah!

Am off to bed now...work tmw....ughh...

Desiderata · 25/02/2008 23:05

dixie, I have met you twice. I am offering you my hospitality, in the certain knowledge that at some point in our relationship, you will return the favour. It might be thirty years from now, but I can wait.

I want you to come. I want you to be there. I think it's important that you come, in the same way it's important that I come. I am cash-flush at the moment, you're not. I have a voucher that will pay for your meal.

Just come, woman. I like you loads. You can return the favour at a later date.

And Pixel ... that's great We can talk about Elvis Costello and Adam Ant!!!!!!!!!!!

PixelHerder · 25/02/2008 23:05

Don't forget to take the tupperware up with you

I'm off to bed too xx

PussinJimmyChoos · 25/02/2008 23:06

I have a different kind of tupperware that I take to bed......

PixelHerder · 25/02/2008 23:07

oh yes! Ah Diddly Kwa Kwa ...

PixelHerder · 25/02/2008 23:08

Puss - and there's you asking me to vouch for your good character

DixiePixie · 25/02/2008 23:13

Puss - don't know to what you refer!!

DixiePixie · 25/02/2008 23:24

Desi - I promise I will seriously think about it and thank you!!

Need to think about the BF issue too. (I've never expressed milk - probably should have done when DD was younger, but it was plain laziness on my part - much easier just to pop her on the boob than to faff around with all that sterilising and pumping!!)

I have to say, the thought of a "grown up" evening out is very tempting!...

needmorecoffee · 26/02/2008 18:31

where are we going? Failed to read the thread for a couple of days as dd having seizures again and was feeling positively suicidal.

ArmadilloDaMan · 26/02/2008 19:51

next thursday evening - meal out at Watershed?

Sorry to hear about your dd. Do you know what's causing it all.

The stres son you must be immense

MaeWest · 26/02/2008 19:55

Sorry you're having such a rough time nmc

PussinJimmyChoos · 26/02/2008 20:20

Watershed is more of a cafe than restaurant btw - not sure if you know that...not even sure if they serve food past a certain time - you may need to check...

needmorecoffee · 27/02/2008 09:20

we know whats causing it, its her brain damage. Her EEG indicated a potential for developing lennox-gastaut syndrome. Its an intractable epileptic syndrome that alaways causes mental retardation, even in previously totally normal children. Can strike between ages 3-5. Obviously its more common hwre there's already epilepsy.
Seizures breed seizures unfortunately.
What time are you thinking? I cant be out past 10 cos I need to go to bed with dd.

OP posts:
ArmadilloDaMan · 27/02/2008 19:48

that doesn't sound good.

i don't think we've decided on a time yet.

What time would you reckon?

DixiePixie · 27/02/2008 22:34

Really sorry to hear that NMC - can't imagine how stressful it must be for you
Sending love & positive vibes

PussinJimmyChoos · 27/02/2008 22:40

7.30pm/8pm ok with me - what about you guys?

DixiePixie · 27/02/2008 22:46

Should be OK for me too.

PixelHerder · 28/02/2008 11:47

Yes and me - am fairly flexible on time

needmorecoffee · 28/02/2008 17:07

OrmIrian · 28/02/2008 17:09
