We've now vacated the pregnancy threads - hope everyone can find us here!

OP posts:
TALLULAHBELLE · 15/09/2008 20:04

Work 4 days a week now. Is more than enough.

Think these bubs will be wearing DD's cast offs regardless! Well vests, jammies, sleepsuits etc maybe not the pink dresses but then she never wore those either! Queen Mum policy not to tell anyway but may well become apparent even to the untrained eye as get scans later on in the pregnancy.

Snooping sounds intriguing. Did you have a stalker? Hope things didn't get creepy. Sometimes wonder about that. I recognised someone from their posts & could have found out a lot more about them than I needed to. Fortunately I'm not that way inclined but it did make me wary.

geordieminx · 15/09/2008 20:29

Well if you fancy meetin up for a coffee you know where I am.

I have every single item of clothing that C has ever worn... one of these days I think the loft is going to come through

Nah nothing serious, to be honest there is nothing on here that I wouldnt want anyone reading. Just a family member checkig up on me.

TALLULAHBELLE · 15/09/2008 21:51

Well, I know where to come if I find out I'm having blue ones. Talking of coffee, isn't it about time for a meetup - or did I miss one whilst I was away? Work has really got in the way of those nice little coffee sessions with other mums.

giraffescantdancethetango · 15/09/2008 23:41

hola,

hi minx (im the one who emailed you)

went to bounce and rhyme at langside library this morning - was good. anyone fancy coming along next monday?

hope youve all had a good day, im off to bed now.

geordieminx · 16/09/2008 08:07

Thanks for the offer giraffe, bit far for a morning for us - C still has a nap until 10.30

midnightexpress · 16/09/2008 13:36

Which is your day off tallulah? We could arrange a meet-up, yep. High time.

I too have mounds of boy clothes if you need them. Mostly for slightly older ones. I'll have a trawl and see what else I can dig out, though we did get rid of some stuff recently to my cousin.

Monday bounce and rhyme no good for us giraffes, as DSs at nursery mon am. Are you going to the Queen's Park toddlers (Playbreak?) - we could manage that now as they've changed their nursery days, so might be up for a Tues or Thurs (though not this week or next I'm afraid).

TALLULAHBELLE · 16/09/2008 20:25

Hey Midnight. My day off is Wed. So far I haven't managed to do anything with any of them - well just boring house stuff- so would be good to have something sociable arranged to get me away from the neverending unpacking of boxes. Anyone else free on Wednesdays?

IAteDavinaForDinner · 16/09/2008 20:29

Hijacking from the Highlands

I know you guys will mostly be central belt people but in case you're lingering up North please feel welcome to join us at our meet-up in Forres listed here, which is this Friday at 10.30am at Bumbles Playcentre.

Jacs008 · 16/09/2008 21:04

I'm free Wednesdays (in fact all week apart from Thursday), what about a meet up in the city centre (I think Mechm suggested Princess Square a while back), since the weather is likely to be rubbish anyway we could give up all notions of playing in the park and go straight for the coffee and cake.

geordieminx · 16/09/2008 21:11

I can do wednesday for you lovely ladies.

Think Starbucks in Princess Square is probably quite a good idea!

TALLULAHBELLE · 16/09/2008 21:20

Sounding good. Any more takers? Then just to choose which Wed. 24th too soon ?

Jacs008 · 17/09/2008 13:01

I could do Wed 24th at 11amish if that suited(I've got a lunch date at 12.30pm at John Lewis) or after lunch, say 2pm (ish)

midnightexpress · 17/09/2008 14:06

Wednesdays not great for us unless it's v early, as the boys have nursery in the pm and it's all a bit mad getting them sorted out and fed and all before they go. So prob have to count me out this time.

I'll catch you when you're off on Mat leave tallulah if I don't manage to see you before that.

BTW does anyone know of anything like yoga bugs or other active sort of classes for wee ones? DS1 has just discovered the joy of dancing and is roly-polying all over the place so thought he might enjoy something like that (preferably something that mums go to as well).

midnightexpress · 17/09/2008 14:07

...and Davina thanks for the invite. Would love to be in Forres but sadly not.

TALLULAHBELLE · 17/09/2008 20:26

Afternoons better for me Jacs - DD has a loooong nap in the morning & although she will have an afternoon one too she can do without it. Sorry if Wed leaves you out Midnight but yep will catch up once on leave. Am putting in for Dec but really don't expect I will make it that far. Don't know any kiddie yoga - nothing @ Balance ? Or the one in Partick, can't remember the name of the venue but I used to take DD when she was very small.

TALLULAHBELLE · 17/09/2008 20:28

Bodysense.

Jacs008 · 21/09/2008 20:21

Tallulah, I'm going to give this Wednesday a miss, I'm around most other Wednesdays though if you fancy meeting another time or if anyone else fancies a city centre meet?

TALLULAHBELLE · 21/09/2008 22:12

Mmm we didn't really get many takers eh? Shall we leave it a few weeks & try again? I've got to go into work the following 2 Wed's - parents' meetings- on my bloody day off, 2 weeks in a row . So maybe see who's around some point in Oct.

littlepig · 13/10/2008 10:20

I just caught up - would be up for meeting before returning to work (especially if it's a Wednesday as that will be a work day )

Also, was contacted by another user from Lanarkshire feeling in need of some company so could see if she can come along too and meet a few people at once...?

TALLULAHBELLE · 14/10/2008 09:25

Well hopefully a few more takers & we can get something organised. Where is everyone these days? RL taking over perhaps?

geordieminx · 14/10/2008 10:04

Hey ladies.

Tuesday and Thursdays are best for me, but could do Wednesday. Around 12ish would work for us too if we were meeting in Princess Square as it gives us time to get in, and get out missing the trafic?

midnightexpress · 14/10/2008 16:51

Hi all.

Tues and Thurs better for me too, but I think tallulah is only free on Weds, aren't you?

Where in lanarkshire is your friend littlepig?

Spoke to weeonion today by sms - she's busy with new job in RL so not been around.

Tis v quiet on here these days.

TALLULAHBELLE · 14/10/2008 19:43

Yep Wed my only day off but go ahead with Tues/ Thurs meet if that suits & I'll catch up once on mat leave - shouldn't be too long, have said 16 Dec but know I'll never make it that far!

Had txt from WO too today. Was wondering where she'd got to so was nice to hear from her. Hopefully she'll pop on the thread soon.

littlepig · 14/10/2008 20:37

sal66 is in Hamilton; her ds is approx 3mo.

I can do Wed or Thurs next week... was going to suggest People's Palace Winter Garden for ease of parking/ running about (old enough dc's obviously!)/ general child friendliness/ waterproofness (it's a word, honest) - this suit other people or somewhere else preferred?

PS - my ds is almost 9mo and I start back at work early November, after which I can only really do Mondays or maybe Tuesdays.

geordieminx · 14/10/2008 22:37

Ok lets go for next Wednesday? 11.30?

Littlepi - if you are in contact with Sal66 you could tell her that there is a playgroup that I go to in Hamilton at the Salvation Army, its NCT led but you can just turn up as and when. 1-3 on a Wednesday, free tea and biscuits!
